  1. When using a trade vessel without chaser it doesnt has area control even it should
  2. When using a trade vessel and the captain has skilled area control the area control disbales automaticly when the timer runs out which allows to switch it off

1. You are just doing it wrong. Just use a trade ship with chasers. Problem solved  It works fine Dev's like everything else in this balanced masterpiece.

2. When a timer runs out, it typically means there is no more time and things tend to switch off

It's a PvP problem. I am sure it will get fixed, just wanted to give my useless opinion on a PvP post like PvP players manage to do on EVERY PvE post with legitimate issues.

for example essex (when enemy timer runs to zero at a certain time he can escape.

it seems you have to have the perk Area control active in the perk department..

Using a Trader Lynx as a raider ( catching TLynxes and even heavy loaded Tbrigs and Tsnows ) is a interesting way to play ( plus can take passengers from captured enemy vessels instead of slicing them as fishing bait ).

There's no right nor wrong way to play.

- not sure if traders should have auto-control but given it can be turned off ( message on screen ) don't see a reason not to follow same rules.
