Would love to reconnect if anyone is around. Also, I'd love to hear how this game looks to compare with PotBS. I am very tempted to throw down the cash and get in for what looks to be the next great age of sail experience, but I'm thinking of waiting until there is an immediately downloadable client. Prater Posted December 27, 2014 Share Posted December 27, 2014 The most you wait for a key is about a week. I only played POTBS a little bit. I really liked it but it was too arcadey for my tastes. This game however is awesome and doesn't feel that arcadey. The graphics are awesome as well. Watch some youtube videos to see how the current combat system is like. (which it is likely to change in the next few months as we go to a different damage model). The ames and the combat are as fun as potbs battle were but really different. You don't have any skill to press and everything is linked to your capacity to sail and use canons. What is disapointed as a team as RN or edr or every society is that you can't atm choose your team. You may be 3rn in a figh and 1 in a team and 2 in the other team when you would have been together. There is no realm mechanics or dockside detail.
