  1. What video card do you actually have?
  2. It is a fair but cheap card. If you look for "NVidia 740 ti review" and look at the futuremark website in the results, you will see there are some better alternatives within $10-20 of that price with almost double the performance. Check the NVidia GTX 750 and AMD R7 250X in particular.
  3. "B is for Broadside..." "C is for Carronade...." I can do Davey Jones and Doubloons, Easterlies, Flintlock, Grapeshot and Grog, Haulin' is fine but I get stuck on I. Anyone else?
  4. You should have received it by now. Check your spam folders then email info@game-labs.net with your PayPal receipt details. Remember that echecks take longer for GameLabs to receive your money.
  5. You really can't have a full smoke sim that players can turn off... because players who are obsessed with winning will disable anything that will interfere with them having even the tiniest advantage. As SideStrafe mentioned in one of his recent WarThunder videos, it will get abused so you would need to have a low detail smoke that you could not turn off as well as a more detailed smoke that would act as a visual reward for the players who can handle it and still want it. The low smoke should still provide the same obscuring effect as the better smoke for a level playing field.
  6. I have submitted an F11 report of this issue tonight - about 20 mins before this post.
  7. There is a current keyboard shortcut list (with images) in the Sea Trials sticky posts called "Keyboard Shortcuts List / Keybinding Suggestions"
  8. Antialiasing is working - look at your cutter rigging with it on and off - the difference is clear and you should see a frame rate difference.
  9. Could it be a Win7 issue then? I have Win8.1 and have never had any GPU issues.
  10. Islands do not currently have hitboxes - they are placeholder artwork only.
  11. If you use Bootcamp you could play it on your Windows partition while waiting for any news of a Mac port.
  12. You will also see the same message while queuing in the pvp rooms if there are no free battle slots. Once one becomes free you will see the 120s countdown which is when most folks in that room will announce the upcoming battle in chat in order to get a few more folks in.
  13. It was set from your Steam Persona Name on the first login and stored on the NA server against your game key for future use (until the databases are cleared nearer to release.) I have seen the Devs changing offensive or puerile names so I know it can be done but unless there is a privacy concern, we are stuck with what we have for now.
  14. I have an NVidia 780ti and don't have the issue at all so can't offer any experience I am afraid.
  15. In the mean time, watch some of the videos on the Tube... there are some good tutorials such as Ranjb's Manual Sails video of how to turn in your first Brig which you could unlock fairly quickly and which benefits from sharp tacks across the wind if you know how.
  16. I played three matches tonight and only saw the issue briefly so unless anyone else can corroborate, we will have to assume it is just my machine for now. I will file an F11 once I can reproduce it reliably.
  17. As far as I understand it, the very first time you log into the game, it queries your Steam Persona name (which is what your Friends see on Steam) and stores it on the NA database for all future use in the game. You are then free to change your Steam Persona back to whatever you normally prefer. You might be PewDiePie on Steam but if you change your Persona to Captain Gribble then launch NA for the first time, you will be Captain Gribble in NA. You can then change your Steam persona back to PewDiePie. If you have already logged in under your regular Steam Persona, the NA database will have stored that name and will put it above your ship and in Team lists. If you really want to edit it for privacy, I believe the Devs could do that for you. I have seen one person with an offensive name having their name changed so I believe it can be done.
  18. I observed it on High settings too last night. It seems to take a little time to occur - in a fresh game everything is fine then after a couple of minutes it will begin. It has a very rapid strobing appearance on just that one effect or texture. The rest of the image is fine and the closer to the viewer, the more noticeable it is. Once it is occurring, it seems to come and go over a few tens of seconds. I will see it for a short while then there will be a little pause then it will flicker again. I will set back to Ultra and F11 today in my next match. Flip - my monitor is 1440p as its native resolution. Setting to 1080p will result in a very fuzzy screen. Is there something you expect that running at 1080p will expose (such as texture scaling) or is it "just try it and see"? I have to confess it is a real bugger to capture in a screenie. I took a couple of dozen shots while it was happening and it appeared in only 4 of the shots.
  19. I spotted that comment too... some fearsome reputations out there it seems!
  20. Apologies for the large images - I thought they would appear in thumbnails.
  21. I would like to report a rapid strobe-like flickering on the water reflections when playing on Ultra. There appears to be an extremely fast flicker on reflections in the foreground that may be associated with the sun bouncing off the water. It is most noticeable when facing the sun but is also visible to the sides. The closer to the foreground, the more I can see a striped texture on the reflections. It looks particularly odd when your deck is awash. I am playing on Ultra but with 0xAA since at 1440p I don't find the AA is needed. Naval Action is Full Screen. The graphics card is an NVidia 780ti 3Gb with drivers 347.25 at 2560x1440. While the card is overclocked, the flickering occurs even at stock speed. It is not overheating because even at 100% load the card reports 41C. I had some spare time while my crew were busy with the pumps today so managed to capture the effect. Left side is with the flicker, right side is without. Images are JPEG 2560x1440 350Kb. Let me know if there are any settings you want changed to assist with testing. I am tracking this thread.
  22. Intel 4770K overclocked to 4.5GHz at 1.275V 16Gb Corsair 1600 Asus 780ti 3Gb overclocked to 1274 boost 7800 memory Samsung 840 PRO 256Gb OS / Samsung 840 PRO 256Gb Games Apple Cinema Display 27" 2560x1440 Since I can't get vsync to work, I get 160FPS on high, 90-100FPS on Ultra and 120FPS on Custom (Ultra with 0xAA)
  23. When I saw the issue last night (UK time) there were about 200 online in 30 battles.
  24. Lucien - many of these integrated GPUs that are being discussed are on laptops so are not upgradeable.
  25. I got it too after exiting a pvp light game
