  1. just a quick question, the game still unde beta testing or has been release?
  2. I thought about entering my question on the feedback for version 1.06 Beta, but decided to rather open a separate threat. So, my question is just what the title says; how does the game determines when a ship should be sunked? Here is the scenario, and before I explained, this is the result of me having to leave the game before the battle was finished. I am playing as Germany starting in 1930. February 1931, the Brits start a war. I am playing a convoy mission escorting 4x transports. My escorts include: 1x BB, 1x CA, 2x CL, 2x DD I am facing on the Brits side: 1x BC, 2x CA, 2x CL 2x DD So it was a pretty balance encounter, or so I thought. Started the fight keeping the transports away and my support ships. I am controlling the BB and move in range of the Brits. Eventually, they run out of torpedos, so I move my cruisers and DD closer. My BB has taken some hits, and it is only slightly damage, above 90% on both categories. 1x Brit CA is damage, the BC is sunked as well as one DD. One of my DDs is damage and I ordered it to retreat. Here is when I had to leave the game. None of my transports were damage. So I leave the game and the window opens saying that I am leaving blah blah.... So on the victory screen, shows that I sunk the 2x Brits ships, heavily damage a CA and I had no lost ship on my part, but the game says, my BB was sunked. How? At the point, I left the game, it was 90% intacted. Which brings me to my next point, I know the game is under development and under Beta testing, but why is it that there is not a more robust save option? Something that we can reload in case of such issues as described above? If part of being on Beta is to try things and identify things that could be improved or corrected, why not having the option to reload from a certain point? That way, if we try something and does not work or find a glitch, problem or issue, it can be repeated and or corrected. I love the game, and enjoying it on its current form, but it is frustrating to lose a ship that shouldn't have been lost.
  3. I most say, that until recently, I have not played the game. I got it at the same time Age of Sails and play some early naval academy missions, but put the game aside waiting for the campaign. I saw a campaign being played in YouTube,so I decided to jumpback into the game. And besides saying this is a game that I have been looking for a long time and what it offers so far is excellent and extremely enjoyable; I am going to borrow a quote from a Civil war admiral..... Damm the torpedos! Playing the German in 1940, I started good, won couple of battles against the Brits and French. But on my first fleet engagement, I lost the Bismarck to a wall of torpedos. I think the AI relies too much on the torpedo spam... maybe is me, but for the next update, maybe some tweaking on the torpedo spam, would be great. Otherwise, I am not the only one borrowing that famous naval history qoute.
  4. Good morning/evening....I wanted to start a new campaign and have a question regarding saving. So, please accept my apologies if this question has been asked before and kindly point me to the correct threat. 1. If you start a new campaign, can you save your progress if for example you are still designing your own ships? If you have to leave prior to actually starting the first turn? 2. Can you designed your ship prior to the campaign start and import them into the campaign you are choosing? 3. Could it be possible to start a campaign say 1930 and carry over to 1940? Thanks for the answers.
  5. No, I am sorry if it is misunderstood. I got my key from Xsolla awhile ago and downloaded the game from Steam. It is only that I probably misunderstood that the game was still on early access. I have been playing on Steam since I got my key. I was looking for some feedback if there have been any changes and whether it would be recommended to start a new campaign
  6. Hello Armchair Generals & Admirals, saw a message on Steam over the weekend and them a couple of videos on YouTube by the historical gamer that the game has finally been release on Steam, no longer an early access. I am halfway through the British campaign and hence my question. Is the game compatible or would you recommend to start a new campaign? Thanks.
  7. @dixiePig thanks for the detailed information... B4 I posted the question, I was on the 2nd BR and it was hard. So, I when back to the potomac fort, and basically restarted the campaign using your recommendations... It makes a BIG difference.. I am no longer facing Union troops in the 2.5 to 3K size units.... like you said, they are a little higher than my 1300 troops per Bde, but it is manageable... and my cav division is a thing of beauty.... 2x mele with 250 and 3x carabine of 400 each.... I am up to Shiloh.... had to save the game in order to go to work, but I am about to capture Pittsburgh landing on day one!
  8. @ dixiePig, the question I ask, is the AI scaling accordingly to your unit size? or you still facing units with over 2K union troops
  9. Quick question, I saw an announcement for the latest update yesterday on Steam, but still no keys for Steam. I update the game from the Xsola link, but do we have an idea when the Steam keys will be issued?
  10. @ Adishee, I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it and install only your mod, still, I can't move the sliders.
  11. Hi Adishee, I followed a threat here were it shows how to cancel Ironman, which I did by changing the value to false and saving the game. I am getting ready for the 1st Bull run, but I can't increase the number of soldiers on my infantry units. They took casualties and are locked at that number, even though I have available replacement and weapons. Say my one 2 star unit, has 844 soldiers on it, but the number at the end of the slider says i can go up to 1025, but I just can't. Do that has anything to do with Ironman when I first started the campaign?
  12. thank you so much for the answers... do you know when the ver 1.3.3 will be ready for consumer use?😀
  13. I have another question, on the first two missions, I noticed that you can issue orders to your units unless your general is closed by. Is that on purpose or maybe a glitch? Also, it sems that the units that remains in your control after capturing the train station, if they have less than 1025 unit limit, you can't adjusttheir number.
  14. Hey Pandakraut, I trying to installed the submod, but I do not have the folder, and there is some issue copying the assembly file....
  15. Another question, when the mod is installed, on the lower left corner should be the version, which version should I see if your mod is installed correctly?
  16. hi adishee, I download the submod again, version 1.32. I have been reading some of the threats you and Pandakraut have ponstructions. I remember that I have to disable my firewall to install the assembly cshardsted and when I extracted the mod, I did not found the rebalance/historical submod as one answer Pandakraut, gave some one. Nor, there are any install instructions.
  17. I haven't played the game for a while, and decided to start a new campaign, finished the first mission and after selling my merchant ship, I purchase a 7th rate brig. Problem is that after purchasing 4pdr and 6pdr cannons, I cannot mount them on the ship. When I click on the cannons slot on the upper left, next to the ship stats, it opens a window for the weapons, but the cannons I bought are not there.... any ideas?
  18. HI team, I just got a simple question. Is the game development completed? Is the game finished and no longer in early access? I played the British campaign and have been holding on starting the American campaign waiting until the game is completed. I have been playing Civil War to keep me busy until the game is completed. Thanks.
  19. I started a new Union campaign using the latest version of the mod, and wow .... just finished the distress call mission and it is working great .... I like specially when you can break a unit and force then to surrender. On the phillipi mission, I got 4 confederate units to surrender at the cost of one of mine being shatter and disbanded... On the distress call, I got another 2 units capture, 2 supply wagons and 1 arty batt.... I followed Pandakraut recommendation to start with the economy and logistic background and it seems ammo is a little more plentyfull and weapons cheaper..... getting ready for 1st bull run with 7x inf, 2x arty and 1x skrimisher units... love it
  20. Do you have or there's a set date when the game hits the steam store?
  21. I saw that an update to the game in Steam this morning.... was that a patch, an update or something else?
  22. @adishee Keep at it..... I am looking forward to play the game with your mod.
  23. Humm... next major update. That sounds good. What are you looking to improve in addition to the known issues?
