  1. Fyi... when I played as the Union, passing Philippi was not an issue. The issue was with the Conferderate mission, capturing the fort Potomac. I tried 3 or 4 times with the same results. Failure.
  2. Phillipi is the first battle if you play as the Union, the Potomac is the first if you play as the confederates
  3. @adishee I can see the logic behind the ammo with relation to Artillery, but sometimes, it is just frustrating, when you get your troops to their initial points and with the arty behind them set up and while you wait for your other units to assume their positions, if that initial set of units comes in contact or an enemy unit gets in contact of our artillery, before you know it, boom.... you are out of ammo and the battle has not commence yet. I wish you the best of luck with the mod. Keep working on it and work out the bugs that you find, as I will be back. Have a nice weekend.
  4. @adishee that is great news.... one you have tested the mod for that error, you might want to look at the ammo comsuption for artillery, It most be off, there is no way that a 6 gun battery ask for ammo after 4 or 5 shots... I will reload the mod once you have a chance to play the whole campaign.... I started a new confederate campaign with the rebalance mod installed.
  5. @adishee as mentioned yesterday, I played the 2BR again in order to test the scaling theory for Crampston Gap. I made a screenshot that shows that my 3rd corps assigned to the mission. It calls for 11 bdes, and that is what I had. The first thing you should see is the forces line at top of the screen, is 2/3rds red. I waited for the rest of my units and line them up and move fwd, there is a solid line of at least 10 bdes plus 2 or 3 scrimisher units. Not visible are the arty batteries and the unit guarding the victory point. And now, my 2nd corps commander, which all along was a AI character, this corps banished. Sorry but I will wait until the mod is more polished/completed before trying it again. I am really sorry, as I like the unit size. Also, you might want to check the artillery battery ammunition calculation, as no sooner they fire 3 or 4 shots, the batteries are asking for ammo. I have max out the supply to 45K, and during the battle, I was running out of supply mainly by suppling ammo to the cannons. I think that needs to be looked at.
  6. @CajunNavy I will try a little longer before doing the same as you. I have tried the Potomac mission with this mod and have the same results.
  7. ok.... I will do it and let you know tomorrow as I am at work right now
  8. Because of the problems, I deleted the current missions and my save game is right before 2nd Bull Run. I will do the bull run again and try what you suggest since the two battle above come right after the 2BR. As for the corp commander, he was my first division commander at the start of the game
  9. @adishee .... good morning. Like the phrase says, "Houston we have a problem".... As I mentioned to you yesterday, the major battles are not an issue, the in between battles, however they are. Bellow are 4x screenshots, the 2 battle results and the 2 subsequence camp screens. These battles are the 2 battles before Antietam. Currently I have 3 corps with 7x divisions each, a total of 22 brigades per corps. On my first corps, I have replaced my character after Gaines Mills battle, so my first corps was an AI created character and my character is a 2star general on the first division. Most of the units on my first corps are 2 stars. I like what you have done to an excellent game and an even better mod, but although I believe on missions to be a challenge, the small battles are getting more difficult and it seems like there are more units available to the small battles than the large battles. I have played the vanilla game as well as the game with the rebalance mod, both for the union and the confederates, and I never seen this. I sincerily hope you can address the game issue.
  10. You might want to check your Army Organization points to increase the number of bdes available. And if you are looking at the scaling, I think you should check the battles in between each major battles. I think that is where the is some issue. All the in between battles after Shiloh are getting progressively difficult. And what I meant is on the number of enemy units
  11. @adishee ok thanks,,,, I thought that I might need his newest version of the his mod..... finished 2nd bull run, no problem... got to the next small battle b4 Antietam, and got my ass kicked
  12. @pandakraut and @adishee, would you be so kind and clear up something for me. I was under the impression that the submod from adishee did not need your base mod. Is that true or did I miss understood? If your mod is necessary, is there a specific order to install? I would like to know since I have not install your mod on this current playthrough. I will appreciate your thoughts
  13. It's hard the first time around. It boils down to managing the units on the flanks and use them to reinforce any weak spot. So you have to pay attention to both sides of the trail. Unlike say 2nd bull run, when playing as the south, you know from where the union is coming.
  14. On the Thoroughfare gap, what I have done is starting on the right side of the flag, is put 2 bde abreast and 1 battery behind; then 1 more bde on the right flank to counter any move by the AI. on the left side of the flag, take 1 bde to cover the trail approach to the victory point, then I bring 3 more bde to the edge of the trees with 2 batteries and 1 more to cover any manuevers on the left flank... then is wait til the enemy come at me
  15. well, your mod is challenging ... Like I said, with my experience units, I was able to draw the Kettle run, the next mission is the thorough gap and I beat the mission .. I am now on the 2nd bull run with 2 1/2 corps... are there a lot of changes with the new update? and the Hotfixes roll into it as well?
  16. @adishee Hi good morning. First of all, I did as you suggested, replaced my 1st Corp character with another general and replay Malven Hill, not problem. Now, remember that I am playing as the Union. The battle is the Kettle Run. Have you played the Kettle Run? I am to deploy 9 brigades, so since this is not a major battle, i used my 2nd corps to get them some experience.... surprise! It was a route, the AI had at least double the amount of Bde's. There were at least 4 or 5, plus artillery at the victory point, plus another 6 or 7 Bde's and Arty on top of the hill. I replay the mission with my 1st corps, all 9 units 7 Inf 2 Arty with 2/stars and were able only to draw. Now, I wanted to check the Confederation side and the 1st mission, capture the fort is suicide. Have you play it?
  17. @ adishee ... good morning. just finished Mal vern Hill and see below.... my second corps is ok, it shows all its units, only my first corps show this.... I exited the game, and went back in, same issue..... i restarted my computer, same issue....all the files were properly loaded including hf 2.
  18. @adishee I will keep you informed on the campaign..... what I might try, since generals are so important, is to disband at least 2 divisions that have generals and use them to create a second corps, that way I have 2x corps commanders....most of my divisions have 1 star generals in charge
  19. @adishee it's all good... somehow I missed installing the second hotfix. Had to reply 1st bull run but now everything is fine...getting ready for Shiloh. My only problem is that I only have 1 corps with 22 beds... I can create another one, but have no officers....still have 3,000+ soldiers, but not enough for the 48 beds needed... oh well!
  20. @adishee I don't think that I installed the first hotfix.... I am going to restore the game files and then reinstall the mod files and hot fixes.... I let you know
  21. Yes you did mentioned and I installed version 1.2 or 2.2 hotfix, whichever was the latest
  22. so you have seen this before..... I just finished 1st bull run
