  1. What about casual players who will not have 1st rates. Think from the bottom. Guy who got frigate wants to go pvp and tow. What now? We will limit his experience while Vets will have no problem again.
  2. I try. Still 100 marks = to almost 10 battles. 1 battle takes about 30 minutes in good ship to complete and all depends on fleet size. Question is how long does it take to get 100 marks in Naval Action if you want to use that as currency for travel.
  3. Some Marks connected to pvp kills, You want to make travel only for those who pvp? In fact there are 0 combat marks on the market in most largest ports on US server. This means it will not work if something like this happens. Unless you use PvE marks.
  4. Well obviously cash is a bad idea then, how about Battle Points? Any OS battle activity generates BP points. Let's say in a mission when you fight NPC and capture his ship you don't get any cash reward, but get Battle Points for damage you did. Now let's say tow will cost 50 Battle Points per.
  5. Casual player 5th rate mission. I am not talking about your 1st rate end game fleet. You think all new guys will sail 1st rates and such from the start? I agree for Vets it will be no problem, but we don't care about Vets. We care about long happy stay for new guys who will provide population numbers, econ and everything else. My past suggestion was to introduce Battle Points that can be used to Tow ships. Fight in any battle and earn BP. Use them to travel the world.
  6. It should cost money to tow Navy. I agree that there will be abuse of some sort. 6th-5th rates = 10k 4-3rd rates = 50k 2-1st rates = 100k All paid money should go to Port Development Department. The more people tow from that port the better it gets. This could even mean visually change. (Buildings improve as city grows).

  8. Trust me life becomes easier and pvp becomes more popular. It is easy enough to go hit fleet and get a decent ship for pvp now. All we need now is more content to fill the empty oceans. Devs doing a great work, we just need fun stuff back. Paints, Figureheads, Loot, Treasure chests random OS events, survivors and jumping whales.

Smart and efficient way to bring Europe into the Caribbean Conflict without creating another continent. Could you specify what are those Commonwealth colonies? What I found is dated back only mid 20th century. The Commonwealth dates back to the mid-20th century with the decolonization of the British Empire through increased self-governance of its territories.   13. Your idea is good, but we need small population 'insurance' mechanics. My idea was to make ALL port battles 10 vs 10 once the port is flipped. Then add 'bonus' as Port Battle size expansion based on extra work invested. ex. (Attacker) Nation Flipped port and now Port Battle is scheduled with 10 vs 10 (X BR) Default preset. Port Battle size Expansion is listed: - 50% more contention points will unlock 15 vs 15 (X BR) Port Battle. -100% more contention points will unlock 25 vs 25 (X BR) Port Battle. Attacker can decide based on their population availability if it's better for them to have 10 vs 10 (X BR) or 25 vs 25 (X BR) with more grinding/pvp work involved. Once attacker unlocks port battle size, it is available to both sides. Now you use your BR system to make ship variety interesting while securing population activities and full port battles during all time zones. Since 10 vs 10 will remain the most popular option it will make sure ship variety and attendance is always full. Either way it will work, but I believe my suggestion is simple and will work with all players and not only clans. In your suggestion Port Lords will dictate port battle size based only on their clan size and not Nation. It simply becomes private clan based gameplay where new players and lone wolfs will see no action whatsoever. Benefits: -Defender could not stop port flip, but possibly they can prevent it's expansion. PvP increase in the area. -Attacker port battle expansion means more lineships will get involved, this will signal Defender to prepare well ahead of time. -10 vs 10 results in more screen fleets = more pvp in the area. -When Attacker takes the port all participants outside Port Battle with contention points get gold reward equal to % grinded. (Reward participants, promote interest).

With 2400 copper plates on her hull, she was much faster than other ships of the same era, reaching 14 (rather than the average 10) knots downwind and 10 (rather than 8) knots upwind.   15. The best way to make pvp alive is to make World travel Fast and Keep High Cash rewards. Your zones will not work. Right now cash rewards are good, I can get any ship for pvp and not afraid to loose it, but I do not want to spend 2 hours looking and sailing. So, I still do not pvp. See my point?

  18. Do not listen to Historical BS. It's used too often in order to effect the development. You will succeed with your approach if you bring the right content. That simple.
