In all fairness the pirates in that photo have the enemy severely outgunned.

Hmmm this had to happen while my work is busy and I can't log in over the summer... I really want to do this. I'd like to get Prater and Leviathan on a team and join in.... Sigh.

This thread was started by a SORRY member as a way of chest thumping. I have no desire to start threads about you...I never Spammed your recruitment threads, in fact I actively kept your recruitment thread clean of posts from other groups as best I could.

People talk about, and obsess over the enemies they fear the most. The number of times Vicious mentions TDA in any given thread is so high, it is off the charts. Nobody talks about enemies that pose no threat. I choose not to talk about these guys from now on. I suggest others do the same.

Talks about victories where enemies escape being hollow and then posts 2 screens of battles where enemies all escaped...

I'm not sure if you actually believe these things you say or if you just like arguing.

Looks like a glorious victory to me. The pirate fleet there is significantly heavier than the other fleet. Pirates lost or retreated several rated ships, where the other fleet lost a renno and 2 trincs and a Connie. The pirate fleet should have wiped the other fleet easily by the numbers there.

I would be happy to find fights there.

There were Spanish ships raiding all up and down the Florida coast during Sorrys last attacks there. Spain may not feel they were at war with USA, but from the US side, the war with Spain never stopped.

My guess is French hired them to hit Dutch.

If they make pirates hard to play and limit their ship size, I might actually want to switch to them... Being a pirate should be very hard to play and becoming a pirate should feel like a terrifying decision to make.

Ya currently the Inger just chews up a Connie, where as in the last patch they were quite well balanced.

No thanks we are having to many good fights on pvp1. There is way more fun to be had playing as an underdog nation than just going off and joining whoever the big dog happens to be at the time.

You know full well that second battle you posted was just us keeping you out of a port battle, I like how you left out any info about fleet composition to make it look like it was an even fight We achieved our goals there and took minimal losses as you know. I look forward to future engagements.

To reply to you about Ays Vicious, it is no secret we were beaten in that battle. The first thing to note is that was a bunch of different American clans working together many of them for the first time (It wasn't a "TDA" fight). The way the port flags were pulled created an unfortunate situation for us when the flag for Ays got planted but then we had to wait outside the port battle for a half an hour. Unfortunately by the time we entered the fight the wind turned completely against us. We knew as soon as we entered that the battle was likely unwinnable just from wind position alone. We decided as a group to go ahead and take a swing at it since we all made the effort to be there. Predictably things did not go our way there. The whole thing was definitely not good for our side from the start. Getting all the clans to work together with one mind is pretty tough to do and that is the main reason the US nation has not been able to repel you. Organization is key and you guys do it well as I have said before. It is a problem of lots of small clans in a PUG situation vs a big well armed group with a focused dictator TDA is a fairly small clan, and we will never be able to resist the 25 Santi group without the involvement of other groups. We just don't have that many on at any given time. I still keep the invitation open to you for some sort of arranged fight with equal BR if you would like to have some fun and hash this issue out. TDA stands ready.

Perhaps you can convince some of those very best boat drivers to have a fun arranged battle with us. We have an open invitation out to them, but they always refuse saying they don't want to get into the "lower" ships. I would love to get some of the best together with prearranged equal mixed fleets and have it out for fun.

I think this is spot on with regards to SORRY and TDA specifically. SORRY goes to great lengths to get the best gear and make sure as many of their guys are in that gear moving as an organized group, and they are without a doubt some of the best at that. They consider that to be the pinnacle of gameplay skill. They measure themselves and other groups by these ideas. TDA goes to great lengths to find really fun open sea PVP. We like to have nice gear, but also delight in being on the lower BR side of a fight. Being in the biggest ship all the time is something we just don't find fun or interesting. We consider the pinnacle of gameplay skill to be winning fights that are even or fights where we have the lower BR. We measure ourselves and other groups by these ideas. Both groups have very different ideas of what skill and winning looks like, and so both groups view the other side as being cowardly and/or ineffective. It's not a bad thing, but it is fun and interesting. I want to make it very clear that I very much enjoy all of the content all of this stuff created in game and I hope there is much more to come. My hat is off to everyone involved.

I personally like having pirates running around in our areas. It makes PVP much easier to find. EDIT: I'm also going to go ahead at take that picture down. I'm not American personally, but I can't stand around while somebody posts the image of any nation's flag burning.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that he is a TDA member and he is not.
