  1. Well done Spain on your recovery! The game is far better for having you around :-)
  2. I'd like to see on the Map Screen in addition to the Ports Taken the total BR Value of ships sunk that day in PvP. Would be cool to guage how each nation is doing on the Open World.
  3. The British Empire really rallied today and faught a varied campaign across the map attacking and defending PBs for a 24hr period. We took: Savannah La Mar, Montego Bay, Saint Ann - 2am-4am Little Cayman and defended Robras - 10am-12pm Port Antonio - 2pm-4pm Tiburon - 6pm-8pm Les Cayes and defended Jeremie - 8pm-10pm Portilo - 10pm-12am We lost a few too, but everyone got stuck in and it's been a truly amazing day to be a part of. Yes we have had to set less sociable timers on our 3rd front for obvious reasons. However we have also been hit with similar timers on our home territory but we didn't complain, we got it together and came up with a solution. I encourage others to do the same. My thanks to guys like G'Kar who seems to have gone non-stop for 24hrs whipping our players into shape using players from every timezone. And let it be said, most but not all of these had defenders in.
  4. It really has been the rally it was meant to be. I have never seen the coast of Jamaica so active and filled with players working together. The Danish presence has worked wonders for our unity and the extra PvP is always welcome. I hope this restores faith in the British Council Clans. We did not abandon our home. We came back to protect it and restore a safe-ground for our newer players.
  5. I checked the timer at 9am straight after maintenance for my clan. It was reading 'Anytime'. If you are saying that was a bug then fair enough, but try to understand that from our perspective this does look like Lord-Protector failed to put a time on it and we were acting within our rights - this was never considered to be gamey or an exploit. The timing of our assault was actually pushed back further and further due to logistics issues. As for when we set the timer - I agree its a tough TZ - but that is part of the game right now - we get it in return just as much - take a look at Jamaica right now, you can't tell me those are comfortable timers to recapture.
  6. Yes, well played to both sides, a mixture of victories and losses to both. If I might add, it was a pleasure to be able to participate in a 'cultural exchange' with you Bourgainville, your 'explosive' finale was quite impressive.
  7. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to retake the Port to set a timer of our choosing. You really have done the British Empire a great service.
  8. We beat the French back tonight at New Edinburgh. The French then came again for Dariena and Buena Vista but they found them undefended for *reasons*. They came again for Playon, they had superiority and clearly wanted to play to stereotype and ran for the hills. It was astounding and we are still trying to work out what exactly happened and why. Still, my thanks to our french foe, tonight was a very fun engagement and the extra XP and Gold is rather valued!
  9. Good fight tonight France. Thanks for the respectful exchange at the finish. You engaged us well, better luck next time.
  10. I am pleasantly surprised to see the numbers the French are mustering for this little vacation to Panama. I say bring on the enjoyable exchange of cannon fire and may the best nation win! Panama is of course very precious to the British West Indies Trading Company, we do have many fond memories of sending RAE packing afterall, and I do so look forwards to sending the French home from their little escapade to the West. Forget the past, a new era is dawning. Let us keep it civil as honourable gentlemen should do. I shall see you on the frontline. Long live the King! [i might also add, any British sailor so wishing to join the ranks of His Royal Majesty's Royal Navy should head to www.westindiescompany.org and register to receive his commission.]
  11. Same, lost my golden trinc and the crafting hours. A frustrating wait again but on the bright side we keep the xp and materials ready to make another tomorrow.
  12. Nice piece of propaganda to cover up your horrendous losses tonight? Well played sir, well played.
  13. Was the Saint-Nic flag a legitimate attempt or was that also an exploit tonight? And to add to what others said - buying multiple flags and feints is not an exploit, there is a difference.
  14. This is just one disappointing part of a trend of alt account abuses. We've seen people jumping into PBs just to take up space and leave again, and green on green instances and all. Really hoping for a quick solution for this as this is really game killing. Not a bad solution tonight of a flag purchase requiring a sign-off by every other player in your group.
  15. Considering the very long list of butchered Danish ships over the last 3 days due to their incursions around Ile-a-Vache - I think not. But please, do keep coming, the XP has been much appreciated. <3
  16. It gives me great pleasure to announce the complete finish to the Panama Front. Congratulations to British West Indies Trading Company [bWITC] and Barely Afloat [sINK]. Class act, you have established an industrial heartland for our nation which will drive the war efforts against new threats.
  17. This hasn't actually been the case in Panama. As mentioned the battles have been at peak hours with huge numbers from both nations. Port Battles were often defended and there were several failed attempts through the week. Breakthrough only came tonight when RAE attacked Mandinga (captured by GB at 6am, a Spanish timer, and then honourably reset for 6pm-8pm - so there really can be no complaining about this), they lost the port battle and many large ships in the consequent fleeing so that they were left vulnerable when the counter-attack began. That's what made Panama so enjoyable. It was a real confrontation, very different to the US steamrolling Spain in the North.
  18. It's been an amazing week of back and forwards on PvP1. Both Spanish, British and Dutch have continuously put together some huge fleets (often well over 60+ per side roaming the coastline) for some very fun Port Battles and on the Open World. Tonight it looks like the Campaign has taken a turn towards the end and I just wanted to say that my hat goes off to all the clans involved. My appreciation goes out to RAE our Spanish adversaries for a very well-faught campaign. You have earned our respect with the numbers and tactics you have put out night after night. You have faught with honour to the end. It has been a truly brilliant week with many memories. My hope is that you will put all of that effort into re-securing Cuba so that Spanish influence is not lost from the game. You are more than capable of doing it. The war took a turn in favour of the British and Dutch Coalition when the balance was broken by a failed Spanish attempt to retake Mandinga this evening. The following British/Dutch counter-attack was truly spectacular and has probably put this campaign to rest. My thanks to all the British and Dutch players who through their commitment have swung the battle in our favour. It has been a fair fight, with port battles waged at peak times, other than in the early hours of this morning when we took back Spanish Ports with unsociable port timers. That battles have often been close to capacity, and much has been learnt and I'm sure the experience will go towards some fun campaigns against new enemies in the future. Naval Action is a truly great game and it has shone throughout the week. We will aim to get a written account from a neutral perspective of the events of this week for those who have been unaware of what transpired.
  19. Except that if compared to other nation capital locations, Spain probably have it the best. Just look at France, Denmark, Sweden all crowded into one space. Capital locations make all the difference e.g. GB can't get past the gulf of St. Nic because Mortimer Town lies in the way. Of course it's pure speculation right now. Their clans chose to move across the map and abandon it. And I might add that Spain have very good numbers and very impressive clans like RAE fighting in Panama which could make quite the difference if they deployed in the right place with the right PB mechanics.
  20. Definitely intriguing. Just hope this doesn't screw us over in Panama as opposed to fixing the mess in Havanna. A mess which was partly down to Spanish decisions and PB-mechanic issues.
  21. The Spanish are indeed in Panama in huge numbers, perhaps better sent to Cuba where they could be of use. Right now they are only delaying the inevitable. The tide has begun to turn.
