  1. Well we all know this AFK Sailing on long routes is very boring, i clean the house everyday because of it, i could eat from the ground by now. So why not add Minigames for longsail enjoyment. Of corse you need to be able to win stuff. Like some astehtic items, like a fany hat for your captain or decorations for oyur ship, or somthing along htese lines. but yes i know its not in high priority, but hte idea matters
  2. we are still in early acces, so what harm would be done if we simply just test it for a week and getting some data out of it. that might be true that ships with favouravle wind are able to get in the fight in 2 mins but not in any other wind. or simply said, only ships that are sailing in the their best wind are able to join a battel before it closes. no timer would be as much of a counter to mission jumping as the 2min entrance, if oyu do mission you do it normaly in a popolated area, therfor reinforcement ins always there. sure the 5 min timer made battel chaotic a bit, but the battel moves away of the spawn, so do the ships. and after a few mins you are outside of any gunrange. Raider squads who are going deep in enemy teretory, could still board a ship and flee before the enemy reinforcement is on their butt. just btw - offtopic : around trux we had severel gankers in the last few days, they boarded a ship but then we got them on their way back to bonacca, so the 2 min timer dosent protect them from getting into a patroll and on the end of the day they lost more then they gained.
  3. no i want to keep my little pugs in undercrewed frigates who arent able to mauel sail but i would like a training room with instructer
  4. so today i waas sitting on my throne in my bathroom, and used the time to empty my bowels to think about how to make PVP more apealing, well i htink the picture of me sitting on a toilet isnt the way. i was thinking about the 2 min batteltimer and who it favors the most, well it favours the attacker mostly if the attacker attacks smaller enemies. but thats the most used argument. However, if we are thinking about 2 big fleets clashing at eachother from 2 oposing factions, then we will get in a serous problem. That these Battels will be never full 25v25 battels, 2 mins are simply is away to small time to bring in all 25 ships on both sides. You have ships that screen or tag enemies and it will end up in severel smaller fights. So how do we make pvp better in that instace. maybe Completly removing the Timer. what will most likly happen then? Raider squads are getting reduced, but that depends of their hunting grounds. But would a non timer actuel affect Raider parties, not really. While the Battel moves on the fighting ships are sailing away of the spawnpoint. Alredy after few minutes of combat they are so far away that any reinforcement is barly able to affect the outcome in that battel, so that Raiders still could sink their target and then taking on the reinforcemnt or try to flee. this makes playing Raider squads harder depending on the popolation of their hunting grounds but also makes the combat more dynamic. Big epic battels between opposing faction, along the border. these battels will last long till the timer runs out, so around 2 hours. The battels will change how clans opperate will change how frigates or other ships are used for screening and tagging and make the tag important,while it was important before. Now its far easier to intercept a port assault while you have a ship tagging a assault group the maingroup slowly joins in, allowes first and secoundrate in battels where they would be mostly not able to join and the fun part is that these battels will stay open allowing pugs refilling them then needed, also here aplies the spawnpoint stays where it is. This will also affects the economy, ships that usuly see the inside of the drydock (sant or vici) are now used on open sea battels, and that means there will be losses for these ships, or actuel for any ship in generel, gives the crafters a reason to build certain ships more then others, but on the same time making 1st and 2nd rates more rare in habour battels or in generell, since not everyone can afford to loose that ship every 2 days. and what affect the ship builder also affects the resource market, there will high demand on the market for certain resources, the amount of exceptional ships will drop to abit. well thats my opinion on the whole timer thing.
  5. mission are completly placeholders atm, also your idea can beeasily exploited, getting a rank 5 mission and then swithing to a rank 7 ship = easy profit
  6. Deckguns effect is based on the ships weatherguns, the more guns and higher caliber the higher firepower you get. Brace works good against all ranged attack, but get nuked by a Melee Attack Defend is a good counter against attack if both ships have about the same crew, the lesser the crew the lesser the effect, sometimes deckguns will kill more crew then defend in a case of an attack, buts also ship depending Muskets are a counter against deckguns, and attack. if you use them against deckguns you should exspect a huge chunk of casulties. fire grenades are wothless, they work against attack quite good but otherwise they are a waste of coding. even with mods they are not very strong. Dont forget if you attack a bigger ship your attacks will be less potent against its crew, boarding ladders can help to reduce that negative effect Morales influence, the moral determines the point of giving up, if it hits 0 then you won the ship, this should speedup boarding you have a bigger ship. MODS: there are 2 types of bording that will result in a high attack, Deckguns and Muskets, or Melee (attack) Marines will incrace your boardingcrew but incrasing your cannonreloadtime Manuels for swordfighting incrases your melee attack, boardingaxes will reduce the disengagetime there are aslo manuels for deckguns and muskets.
  7. ife got killed by a exploding 3rdrate, she started burning and i tried to board her, after the fire hit hte magazine i just tried to get away, boom, a ghostship sails with 5knts to the sun. good thing someone was able to catch my ship XD

  9. intresting so then i get insulted by a group for severel weeks i need to ignore them all and they dont get any punishment, then they look for a new victim and do the same, thats not a solution, thats just ignoring of the problem. iam not speaking of small little jokes nobody cares about. but calling someone a faggot and calling it off as a joke is not right. People that behaves like that are the one that was raisied wrong by their parents and not the ones who getting insulted. i got few days insulted by some british player who were dragged in my battel with his ship without any amor on it, he started insulting me the worst way possible. it wasnt my fault that the game mechanics are dragging him in. well he sank and lost his ship i though that was punishment enough, he is also blacklisted in our clan because of that behavior.
  10. i think professors who studing the ethic and philosophy and humanity of man would want to argue about that with you, hurting people with words or physical hurting them is bad, its a simple fact. i was refering to the group of people she or he was talking to, they were pushing each other to insult each other. that was what iam trying to point out. so how will be dealt with this? giving all a chatban for for 3 days?

  12. can we have actuell a post with the current rules of engagement for this game, so that everyone knows about this, also you should put them as first message in the chat so people notice them. well current RoE i know are if you join a battel as friendly: Fiendly fire have to be avoided. interuption of boarding have to be avoided. Sinking someones priceship (a boarded ship) have to be avoided. insults and threating of players, also the insulting of their Ethnic Origin,can lead to a chatban, also making fun of manly luv, or other homophobic seizures falling under this. that is all i have, so what did i miss?
  13. The Current Portbateels are purly just placeholder for actuel PBs with landmasses so dont worry about to much. Lots will change and the Devs are higly motivated to implement players suggestion in the game. this is the first suggestion that has no kickbutton XD i like the idea of that. i would also like to add that all players who are currently in the port (have the nationality of the port) are dragged in the port defence. ecept the players who are part of hte attacking nation

  15. well, this i a problematic topic, you arent actuall forced to meet combat in the small battel since you will loose your ship if you die. So yes running away for 1 and a half hour is allowed, yet its not fairgame at all.
  16. well this is a bit problematic, by giving up the boarding by yourself you also giving up the right of ownage of the vesel, even if you started the fight. Waylander probelly thought the enemy interupted due a bug. However taking the ship with him is also not 100% ok. so yes i think this will lead in no results here. it would have been another story, if he interupted your boarding then he would have broken the rules of engagement and that would have been bad for him. i can only give you the advice, if you want the ship dont stopp the boarding, once you have boarded the ship he cant take it away anymore, well someone still can sink it out of grief but that would be green on green and a reason for a temp ban or warning.

  18. this problem should be mostly solved as soon as actuel national wars and peace/truce is implemented, then you can also trade in ports of other nation and so on. atm put oyur outpost in freetowns or capitels
  19. you also forget the fact that the map is not 100% accurate its 17th hundreds based map but the lockation are setted on a satalite map

Well using the same tools like femen or other very politic groups that are completly random and destroying actuell everything they stand for, yes you are femen. To an extent i can understand thaht the coordination systeme is to accurate ,BUT we dont have any navigation tools otherwise, IF we get new navtools, THEN these will replace the current bugreport usage. simple as it. ALSO: the bugreport button is just a placeholder AND will change.
  21. simple thing that would make questin easier and give your group an idea were to head, make the mission visible for the whole group, at least on the map, ofcorse only the missionholder can activate it
  22. simple fact that bigger ships has the right of ways, if you arent selaware you capsize. its the fault of the smaller vessel, that is actuall also a law on seas and in many nations for traffic in habours or rivers

  24. recourses means money, manpower, severquality, time and coffee, and gamelabs lacks mostly in manpower
  25. well if i need to cross the open sea to the mainland i usually go and clean the house and do my chores
