If there was a way to break the l'ocean meta and replace it with an assortment of smaller/different ships id be overjoyed. Unfortunately the guys who still do rvr do so to win at almost any cost- thats not a criticism by any means. Rvr has moved from meta to meta since ive been around and theres always a "best ship" that becomes the new meta. Removing tow wont affect this because the guys that do rvr will just end up sailing meta ships to where they need em in the hopes that the other side doesn't. They'll do this until they get burnt out and take a break from the game or quit. We should be focusing on ways to prevent that "burn out" that many of us have no doubt experienced before. The only time i question why i bother to log into naval action is when im sailing long distance tabbed out watching youtube. If long distance sailing is fun for you, more power to ya.

This is a game, there needs to be a balance between realism and playability. I get your angle but not everyone wants to add (lots) more hours of sailing at the expense of time that could be used doing something.....fun.

As for key west, well that kinda highlights your only strategy in this game. 12am for me god knows what time for the eu guys, didnt have enough people, more than half our pb fleet made up of guys in their first pb, and we had no requins. The outcome was inevitable really. The sad part is, you guys wont ever have a real opponent to face, and tbh even a loss against a great enemy fleet is better than clubbing seals with a 2 to 1 numbers advantage while completely outclassing their fleet composition. I honestly feel bad for your players i really do.

If you wanted content why attack in a time thats going to minimize players from east coast, central, and rocky mountain timezones? Why do it on a monday night? As for the map i think we all know that when you get this big with 9% of the server pop you're gonna get multiflipped at some point and to be honest, if the attacker gets through screening, which isnt hard to do these days, the weather guage will be theirs to lose. Plus, in case you haven't noticed, fortifications dont last very long in a pb with even semi competent mortarmen so i dont get the whole unstoppable zerg stronghold argument. Honestly sounds like the way you portrayed the US "woe be me".

We took marsh to get to secret island took secret island to get to bermuda, what port did REDs exploit? As for the rest of the map, hey if no one wants attack or defend any of it then thats the way its gonna be. I dont think we'd have this many ports if there were more players but it was my understanding that we were trying to provoke fights, if no one wants to fight we utilize the trade routes to make money to get the timers to ensure we dont have to try to cobble together a pb fleet in the middle of the night on a weeknight. You're right, though our timers are great.

Wo and VCO dont even have the balls to attack the US at a reasonable hour... you had a choice of when to set the pbs at marsh and the other one on the east coast and you set them at like 1am east coast US time and set both pbs within 20 mins of each other and on top of all of it you decided to do it on a monday night. Gtfo with your "entitled" eu player bs, you guys wont even give the depleted US a chance to even put up a defense. People are just sick of scumbag gameplay. Just curious about santa fe because you said earlier you didnt have enough players but you just said 0300 or whenever you set the port is your primetime. If you didnt have the players to take the port in the first place, how did you plan to box out other nations in the region from taking it back? Why is it you only had eleven players in your primetime? Why run away from a fight when all you have to lose are dlc ships?

Well considering you only nightflip in RVR and you make it a point to only nightflip on weeknights instead of weekends, yes. Cut off PBs at 00:00 server time (8pm US East) and give the minority "i dont have a choice my primetime is 12am" jackasses global back.
