Hmm, playing a game in a historical setting I really have no need to be represented by my national flag (which would be absolutely unhistoric). That doesn't fit for me, also destroying something of the game for me. Its just that I like history too much I think

I have only limited knowledge, but shouldn't be sail changes then limited?

I like that idea, abit like a training. (No gain in gold & XP + no loss of durability & repair ?)

What I noticed is, that it seems, that the ship is also placed deeper in the ocean when this happens. Also I had quite different anomalies with the sea. One time I had high spikes like towers, the other time big flat areas with stretched textures. As they are flickering it is not easy to capture them on a screenshot. What always helped for me was to get back into port and restart game. So maybe it is something with saving & reloading the ships position? Here 3 screens from one incident: First I thought my Graphic card is dying, but its running ok all other things and looks good. I know I have quite old PC, but its interesting, because most of the time everything is normal. Win7 64bit Intel Core2Duo E7200 4GB RAM AMD HD6890

I have these from time to time also. Mostly when I end the game at sea. When I load the game again and start in the water I have these anomalies. I think I did a screenshot, but have to search.

For best immersion use a water-sprayer. I placed mine right beside the monitor. Seriously, such effects are best when they are used when they really appear. On a camera-lense, googles, windshield etc.

Yes thats true. I don't know how carronades are simulated in game. But being a very low range weapon and only very good against the crew it has enough drawbacks to not equip ships only with them. So why not give the freedom to the player?

Why should carronades not be possible to mount? They are smaller, need less crew and most importantly have less weight.

I tried it yesterday and it worked.

So, war das erstemal heute als Oranje unterwegs und habe einen britischen Einzelfahrer besiegen können. Leider konnte ich ihn nicht als Prise aufbringen, da das Entern ja gerade nicht geht Wie auch immer, das Bier geht heute auf mich.

Ich hoffe auch bald mit dabei zu sein. Hatte ebenfalls an die Vereinigten Provinzen gedacht.
