Wing

8 wing dual 8 inch turrets (These occupy the whole ass end of the ship running back to the last quad 15 from the tower)

12 7 inch casemates

2 triple 5 inch guns (superstructure I think)

8 triple 4 inch guns on the tower

2 triple 3 inch guns on wing turrets

I present to you the mighty HMS Inflexible, the latest capital ship of His Majesty's navy! Featuring twelve (yes, twelve!) 14" guns in three quadruple turrets, in 1923, and absolutely nothing in the way of armour, internal subdivision, or secondary armament, these blisteringly-fast battlecruisers will surely show the Boche what's what in the name of the King. Britannia rules the waves!

As predicted, they had absolutely no armour, piss-poor module selection, and minimum bulkheads. All four were sunk within the opening stages of the match, and the newly-broken formation system prevented my Queen Elizabeths from forming a cohesive battleline before the German dreadnoughts smashed them to pieces.

Oh well. I guess I'll just go back to waiting for modern British towers.

Honestly, looking at the Furious class as commissioned, I think Jackie Fisher would have got round to something like this eventually. But... my god, that thing is the most heinous crime against aesthetics I've seen this patch. It looks like something I drew when I was six.

Finally I have something that can REALLY compete here. The US Navy brings us the Ford Explorer of ships, with the 20 inch quad seemingly placed on that barbette for no reason other than to increase top-heaviness...

clownship.png

Other features include:
- Oxygen torpedoes and increased torpedo load... on a ship with no torpedo tubes.
- 22 knot top speed in 1940

- Light shells (!)

A little late for the party but I found these ones:

Those 2 tripple 17" are kinda scary...

however, meme time.

DEVELOPER: Makes it so AI ships can't have empty barbettes

AI: You may have outsmarted me, but I undersmarted your outsmarting.

1981763566_UltimateAdmiralDreadnoughts01_02_202116_25_33.png.59386a3b2e0956ca144d5769395ea458.png1501523526_Zoomin.png.451969a04b19ab53bef3e5fb198204b5.png

At least the barbette is being used for something...

To allow that lonely 6 inch to fire above all those 4 inch at the rear...

This one is not that bad...

1450966433_UltimateAdmiralDreadnoughts01_02_202116_51_59.thumb.png.52088a83bfa5e51efd68c41f087921ed.png

Until I tell you the only armament besides those 5 triple 14 inch guns is...

...a pair of triple 2 inches.

Similar problem here. All the casemates in the world, and you put a pair of 4 inches, 2 triple 3" and call it a day.

Lets hope destroyers are something from an alternate reality... damn it!

Gotta give it to this one, 2x 23 inch quad torpedo launchers and reasonable speed of 38 knots...

BUT:

What is that lonely 2 inch doing in there?

Why are there 4x 1 barrel turret instead of 2x double to save weight?

Why did you put the torpedo lauchers in essencially superfiring positions and crammed those 3 turrets at the back?

What is that funnel doing there at the back and not next to the other one?

Also, where armor.

Should I mention found all of these in a single custom battle where I was testing my

super-superbattleship?

D7jD050.jpgThis ship has the remarkable distinction of having EVERY SINGLE POSSILE CALIBRE of secondary guns, in addition to torpedoes.

Well, that's cartoon material for a "bigger and badder" firing montage.

Extra points because the comments made me spit out my coffee.

Hmm, maybe I should go through and rate all these on what-the-f*cks out of 10...

Here's an ironic one: A French Pre-Dreadnought, armed with two twin 13" guns, and twenty-eight single 5" casement mounts, and no other weapons. It stands in sharp contrast to the actual French Pre-Dreadnoughts, which sometimes as many as 4 different calibers of secondary armament.

Actually, looking through my screenshots, I found another destroyer that may have confused itself with a ship of the line from the era of sail.

That reminds me of my early Destroyer vs Destroyer designs.

I'd put only one torpedo tube and fill empty places with guns

It would end up being more gunship than torpedo boat.

Maybe you should complile a list on a diferent dedicated topic, since this one is full of comments (some posting, others commenting, nothing short of a little mess) and is quite large, so its a little confusing to fully read throught.

This could be the "Upload Section" While the other one could be the "Archive and Rate" one.

Maybe I'm suggesting a little too much, but I think I'd be worth it.

I found another one while I did a battleship vs battleship scenario. I had a 130k ton beast with a quad 50.6 cm sitting in the center, and 6 triple 38.1 cm cannons.

I expected to fight a worthy foe, but I should have known better:

1080196725_UltimateAdmiralDreadnoughts02_02_202117_47_53.thumb.png.0ebdddd4f3f7b567c673dc3ee62579b7.png

Yes, your silly eyes arent deceiving you:

1744319337_UltimateAdmiralDreadnoughts02_02_202117_55_27.png.6ef424e313a847ba78b9d1877f8116e5.png

The 30k ton battlecruisers going along were far more threatning with their 3x triple 33 cm.

Jokes aside, Im pretty sure this will be the absolute worst nightmare of any light/medium ship, its a somewhat fast for a 90 thousand ton battleship, its armor is decent, and that is a strong 24" torpedo armament...

But I dont think lots of butterflies can destroy a tank... especially one with 55 cm of side armor...

Also, the AI used huge barbettes for these tiny guns...

And, if you are ever in this situation, make sure to add a 17.8 cm double to further increase the accuracy penalty.

Instead of putting all the funnels in the large HMS Invincible-style superstructure, the AI decided to put one tiny on there, and put the larger ones behind it.

Also, just look at the turrets. Come on.

20210208125130_1.jpg

The 2 big funnels at the back is for the machinery exaust gases.

The one on the front was installed to allow the crew to have the biggest ship barbeque. The crew usually do their barbeque on the grill with coal ou fuel, but alternative methods exist:

Throwing a steak inside a bulkhead on fire and closing the door does the job.

Putting a sausage inside a cannon barrel that just fired will grill it like you were cooking on a grill.

The turrets "counter weights" are not counterweights. They are fuel tanks, so if you need a oven to cook, you place your meat inside the turret, turn on the gas heaters inside them, and wait. The barrels also make great chimneys.

You can also smoke your meat using the funnels. Just leave the meat on top of them and they will be tasty when you come back.

Putting some lydite and food inside a pan is also a fantastic easy to do DIY method to cook stuff. All you need is a trip to the ammo storage.

If you are on a british ship at 5 o'clock, make sure the enemy gets a torpedo hit on your ship. Then take your tea herbs to the flooded bulkheads, place them in the water, and you just made thousands of gallons of tea. Enjoy.

And while you wait for the food, you can get a chair and relax watching the battle unfold, as the front ammo storage of the ship gets hit by a 15" shell and blows up on flash fires and fireballs (remenber to leave a stick with a pork chop there, the fireball is more cooking potential, and the flash fire flames can be used as a stove, that combined with a turret, allows you to cook stuff like you were using normal pans or frying pans.)

Have a nice meal.

And btw, make sure you fire whoever named that ship. Its name should actually be HMS Grill
