So yeah i have drawn around 50 ships so far. This ship is like a dreadnought but with pre-dreadnought characteristics. Using different caliber guns, older and moderner technologies. I have a lot of these mega battleships. I will upload all of them in correct order. You will see the changes in style, in details. The waterline is bad, I did not use any rulers. There are not many details and the main batteries are simple. AA is bad, secondaries are also simple design. This drawing is around 6-7 years old. This was the first time where I tried to do some french characteristics. As you can see most of the secondaries are not in casamate mount. The secondary guns are in turrets like those french pre-dreadnought ones. The waterline is bad like the previous one and the guns, turrets, the ship herself is not detailed. And also there aren't any lifeboats (surrender is not accepted!!! lol) This is like prototype, I improvised. Now this is the battleship where I started to put more details, more steampunk elements. The turrets are still obsolete, but the guns are better, MK2. AA is not great not terrible. The waterline is better, I started using ruler. The secondaries are still very simple, they are not detailed, but there are some lifeboats at least. Northern F-3 Volley Class Armour: 1-425 mm Turret armour: -light: 30-80 mm -medium: 100-125 mm -heavy: 425 mm Armament: -light: 16*1 15 mm mg; 3*4 25 mm mg; 2*1 Sniper Rifle (93+pen)* -medium: 6*1 105 mm; 20*1 165 mm -heavy: 6*2 410mm Speed: 18,7 kn (She is a slow boi) Crew: 2000-2200 (realisticaly ~3000) Displacement: ~65000t *=Sniper Rifle: excellent anti-airship, tank, aircraft weapon with outstanding accuracy, ballistics and penetration. Shells travel without drop until 5 km because of the extreme shell velocity. Very expensive weapon, hard to produce. (You can see them on the second mast) (This is a fantasy weapon). She has massive AA power, strong secondaries and much more detailed look. The AA is very good against airship attacks but not that great against airplane attacks. This drawing was made 5 years ago. That time I learned angling. As you can see some secondaries are nicely angled and also the 480 mm MK1 Gun is angled a bit. The waterline and under water parts are smooth. The masts are much nicer. The super structure is small but at least there are two conning towers. (I did post the 5th mega battleship previously) When I found her I had to restore her because the graphyte was too pale and the colours were bad too. So a renovation was needed. I finished her today (you can see the date under the ship). She is in okey condition now. She has massive 480 mm main batteries, 14 guns when she shows her broadside. Her AA is excellent against airships and against airplanes too. The AA guns are dual-purposed so they are part of the massive secondary armament. Double barrel secondary casamates with rapid fire rate can eliminate destroyers and light cruisers too. The reload speed is also shorter so the RoF is excellent. This ship is good against almost every type of ships including battleships, but against larger battleships her main guns are not that effective. She has massive secondary fire power and dual purpose AA guns. The AA is good against aircrafts and airships too. The biggest draw back is her citadel. She has the biggest citadel among the mega battleships I have created. She has lots of turrets and because of this she has lots of ammunition. Giving brodaside with her is not a life insurance. (Spoiler: in my book her magazine was exploded and sunk within 3 min) Well I was realy proud when I created her because I detailed a lot of things (she is not perfect tho) Her speed is great but her turning circle is bad because of the small rudder. She has huge underwater citadel wich is extremely hard to hit. She is excellent in close range combat and she is also great at range. Enemy plunging fire is not a problem for her because she has good deck armour (250 mm spaced armour). She has an old dreadnought design but this is on purpose. One major drawback is her AA. It is bad. She has 10 propeller and very powerful engine. She can accelerate fast and she is capable of reaching high speed. Well yes but actualy no. 50% CV (buuu, delete CV pls) and 50% Battleship. This is a strange design, but I love strange looking ships. When I designed her, I wanted a ship that can provide long range support and capabel of destroying enemy targets, of course not every type of ships because she does not stand a chance against enemy battleships. Her AA is powerful. She has the most expensive and powerful AA among the mega battleships I have ever created. Why? Well she has lots of Sniper Rifles on her sides and it is the most effective (and most expensive) AA gun against aircrafts, airships and airbattleships. She has fast firing, dual-purpose secondaries. Her armour is only effective against cruiser attacks. Her speed is good, and she can carry decent amount of planes. After this ship I discontinued drawing mega ships, but maybe in the future I will continue.
