Tools Economy Breaking Mechanic?

Recommended Posts

So i've heard Tools cost 3 000 reals to craft+ 5 iron(310 reals)& 5 coal(20 reals) total 3 330 reals/tool.

one could craft around 500 tools/day. total cost 1.5m+155k(iron)+6k(coal)= 1 665 000 Reals

Sell price 11 764 up in bermuda in Saint george tiwn. 500= 5 882 000-10%=5 923 800-1 665 000= 3 628 800/day.

i can craft like many others about 100 labour contracts in a day. and now imagine selling all those tools for 36m a day passively. i guess i'll hit billionere at the end of the month.

even in other ports like caracas where they cost to sell 6284 its still worth to sell them.

LH And having alts in russian nation is the only bottleneck i see atm.

is this how it is intended? im far beyond my bed time but i hope this gets fixed. trading is not even worth if there is a gold mine like this out...

I know there is a 500 limit cap on the ports.

I know the last time I traded a lot was years ago when the port limit was 25k, once a port was flooded over the limit it took a while for you to be able to sale again. For example Pedro Cay had so much Compass Wood it would take over a year before all of it was consumed so the port would start buying again.

Question is, what is the consumption rate for the ports?

Because if there is a consumption rate, then it only takes once for you to sale way over the limit and then that port will be locked for a while.

Yeah, im agree that it needs a fix. Tools are only for making labour, investements and seasoned woods, so i think that the sell price must be a cap, like 5000 reals, for example.

btw, making 1 seasoned log need 50-70 labour hours, so excesive in my opinion. You need 70k labour hours to craft 1000 seasoned white oak logs. I think that this needs a fix too.

I thought the maximum LH at the highest level of the craft is 3000. But you are using 5000.

What is the correct value of LH at the highest level of the craft?

I think he refers to the fact that in a port with the LH discount and tools and provisions available you can craft as many LH contracts as you have tools and provisions for as it only costs you 300 LH to produce a 500 LH contract.

yes, you can also exceed 3000 by having the economy perks.

you dont need to craft them, you can buy them for 2k reals in some ports. like 100 at a time 3 times/day. but your correct

today there was a nerf to decrease of tool value in bermuda and many other ports, set to 5628/tool to sell. but it still way to profitable. iron and coal are not exactly hard to come by.
500x5628-10%=2814000-1665000=867 600. almost 900k/account. this is still worth investing in. its way to profitable for 5-10 min sails and some tool crafting.

It is still a trade good and can't be nerfed entirely.

I can buy tools in Tamiagua for 1876 a tool and in 15-20 minutes I can sale them for 5628 a tool in VC, almost a profit of 4000 versus a profit of 2600 per tool if I craft it.

At the same time I can buy Indigo in Campeche for 1540 apiece and sale in VC for 5472 apiece and that's a 20-25 minute sail. Should that be lowered also when you are looking at a larger profit margin than crafting tools to sale?

I understand where you are coming from but if you lower the sale price on tools again, then you also have to lower the buy price to make it somewhat worthwhile as a trade good. Keep that in mind when it comes to the overall trading economy.

Could you explain your steps to get 36m a day?

I suppose 36m = 36 000 000.

You shouldn't list alts or take alts into account when making an argument for game balancing. If you do it that way then it can have an adverse affect on the people who don't have alts.

He is using the numbers he would get if he used all his alts to produce nothing but stuff required to craft tools for the intent to sale.

At the moment, very few people can craft tools. but those who can can do this.

lets do a calculation without alts involved for 500 tools.

price 2500 iron(155k/1200LH) 2500 coal(10k/1200LH) 4000 provisions(60k reals/1921LH)    (36 tools x 2k from tamigua 72k) =1.725m Reaks 4321 LH(9 LH contracts) +72k for the tools.
500x5472=2.736m-10%=2 462 400-1725000-72k(tools)=665k profit.

A single person will get 665k reals for all the trouble with almost 0 risk of loosing anything.

now take that crafted price and apply it to a clan or alts. imagine 20 alts doing insta sell in a port 665x20= almost 13m/day.
question is do ports refresh when you  dump like 2k ress after maintance or not? they did that  alteast like 2 months ago.
before todays maintance the price was almost 12k in bermuda/tool.
