  1. Designer bug Well, I decided to play for China. During the battle, the main battery did not fire. I went to the designer and...??? Edit: I tried redit This is the craziest bug I've seen so far in this game. No, I didn't interrupt the game. Design OK
  2. In 1907 (1890 start), China was dissolved. It seems this is the fourth campaign where this is happening. They have very heavy losses of transports and a very weak fleet.
  3. In fact, I can say that sometimes the AI makes upgrades very often, especially if the ships are in port. The question is that often these upgrades are extremely doubtful, for example, AI rearranges main batteries, and gets a bad layout out of a good one.
  4. Just an incredible amount of pain on SPain. The war has been going on for 20 turns. At best, there is one battle per turn. At best, it's a battle for my convoy. In all other battles, the enemy runs away. Their ships have a larger displacement and they are more expensive, I just don't understand why this is happening. The interaction of TF is in a terrible state. But not only that, compared to all my walkthroughs, ships from ports generate very few missions. A turn counts for a very long time. I think the game just can't handle a huge number of TF (like 50 for the US).
  5. Will it be possible for for the player to somehow change the government (excluding defeats in the war)? I suggest that absolute monarchy will not have the best modifiers, but the player always wins wars, so the player can get stuck in absolute monarchy.
  6. Endgame report In fact, the endgame is quite good. The sandbox works well, but there are a couple of problems. Ai is very poor (constant wars, convoy losses). Undead free-to-build submarines. A LOT of mines. For this I have a lot of DD minesweepers, 3-4 per capital ship. At this point, the game turns into Ultimate Admiral: Destroyers. Game speed is not very good, entering "Fleet" tab takes a lot of time (600 ships lul, but I am sorry, mines are not a joke), as well as entering tab "Ship designs" tab (about 20 refits/projects). It would be very nice to be able to rename the ship directly on the TF or in the port. For example, the ship somehow distinguished herself in battle and I want to name it. I need to go to the fleet screen and find her there among her 500 sister ships with names P-XX. I have to say that the speed of the game is not so bad right now. It is just not very good and I am very afraid that with the introduction of minor countries it will get much worse. But we have examples when everything is really bad (Victoria 3 says hello) and if the turn is long, but there will be no critical bugs, I will be satisfied.
  7. Technology report long run Well, this is 1947 (1890 start) and in the long run you can see the speed of technology research. I've never used research acceleration, and I've had the maximum technology slider all the time. As you know, since the 1930s I began to notice problems with the unexpected overweight of my ships. And I think that's the reason. Hull construction reduces weight very much. However, it is developing slowly (because there are also technologies that are responsible for reducing flaws). On the other hand, various technologies that increase weight are developing very quickly. There is a bug with the date display in technology, it is "1932" that has been shown for a long time, although the technology is changing. Armor research speed is very slow, for example, it is difficult to get Harvey's armor when it was in history. This is extremely noticeable for AI designs.
  8. It all sounds really cool, however...I think you already know A LOT about bugs, so I'll tell you about another important thing that I didn't see here. Clashes of TF. I have already written many times about how I cannot catch an opponent in the Suez Canal for ten turns. At the same time, we are moving towards each other. Every turn we find ourselves at the opposite end of the channel, but we can't engage in battle. This is just the most stupid example. Now I'm playing a new campaign for SPain. I have a second war going on with the US. In the first war they had a doomfleet and I was able to catch it on the seventh turn, we both ran out of fuel before battle (1890) and it was a long battle. So, in this second war, the US has 48 TF and 200+ ships. It is the sixth turn of the war, and there has not been a single battle so far. Yes, this time we have the Suez and Panama Canals, Gibraltar and a dozen other places where my TF are trying to catch the enemy. I also have ships in ports. My TF are trying to move behind the enemy, towards them, just standing there. Not a single battle in six turns. It really spoils the game for me. I just can't fight. It's wasting time. At the same time, collisions with submarines work flawlessly (yes, there are other problems here, but the battles shooting at sea may begin at least). This problem will not go away with the introduction of the channel system. I just want to be able to fight. Thanks to the mines, all my TF now include DDs (3-4 per capital ship), so this is not a reconnaissance problem. If TF collisions work fine, it will be much easier for me to perceive all the other bugs. Besides, if the enemy is a threat to me (since they now have Shared Designs), I want it to work. Strategy will be important now, I won't be able to attack the ships I built with weak forces. P.S. It would be great to have more hulls for the US (standards).
  9. As far as I know, Nick lives in Greece. Concern about the team obviously remains.
  10. Submarine hate post I just can't believe this is a release version of the game. There is nothing, absolutely nothing fun and interesting about submarines. Well, Japan, which is inferior to me by more than 100 times in terms of GDP, has started another war. Honey, it's time for another "Doombattle". But we're poor, so... You may ask why this is a doomstack. After all, there are not so many of them. Here, the destroyers just don't know what to do. They die under fire (some even stopped), even when all their battlecruisers have been destroyed. They're not trying to attack or retreat, they're just doing some bullshit. You may notice a detachment that was able to retreat, but they were initially outside the main group of destroyers. Anyway, after this battle, Japan had only submarines left and the nightmare began. I have deployed four anti-submarine groups of 2 CA and 12 destroyers. Top ASW, top sonar. At best, I manage to sink 3 submarines from a group of 4. In most cases, 1-2 submarines. At the same time, my ships are constantly taking damage. BUT in fact, I think this is a brilliant result, considering that they are obviously sinking submarines by shooting at the sea and ramming. All my ships have 0% ammunition after 9 turns of fighting in ancient submarines. Of course, TF can't move anywhere. At the same time, the number of enemy submarines does not decrease, they are constantly building new ones. But even if this is not enough, I still encounter a bug with a hang when pressing the auto-resolve button. Also, submarines often attack one of my ships which is inside my TF (and on the next turn it is still in its composition). But this is not the funniest thing, when attacking, one ship is shown, and as a result, another one is shown.
  11. Subs are pure cancer. The main problem is that they don't take real damage. With such damage, Germany would have won the Battle of the Atlantic without any problems. Seriously, the gaming equivalent of a Fletcher-class destroyer can't do anything serious to a submarine from the 1920s.
  12. I can't take Tsingtau (Kiautschou Bay province) from Germany
  13. A very old bug. Tunis/Bizerte is a classic. A large map has added more ports.
  14. RNG DAMAGE BUG It's like with engines. I just hate this bug, one of the worst bugs in this game. It's VERY old. I thought maybe the developers had forgotten about it. So a reminder. Although I'm not too hopeful. The battle is almost over. No damage received. 86% structure (14% damage). And, of course, I "took" damage in this battle. Much more than zero. And yes, this destroyer had 90% of the structure before the battle. What do we see here? 49% damage out of air. And there is no damage on the destroyer. By the way, this TF has a "very high" priority of repairs and should have already returned to the port. The state of the TF is just bad right now. I haven't been able to catch the British fleet for 10 turns (again yes, my entertainment in every campaign) which is moving back and forth along the Suez Canal (yes again). Instead of 100 ships, my blind TF catch groups of 1-2 ships (not every turn). But I can tolerate it for now. Just fix this RNG damage after the fight, it's terrible. This is an incredibly old bug. Edit: I forgot to mention, it's 1901, and the AI has no minefields. I also don't use them.
  15. The map in the game is presented at 1890 in each era, so no Pearl Harbor for the US. There is a good option - to beat the Russians, they have good provinces near Japan. I think for the introduction of Pearl Harbor, it will be necessary to rework the growth of port capacity, and there is also a need to somehow deal with independent Hawaii in 1890, but maybe for such an important thing as Hawaii, it is possible to make an event without working out the system of interaction with small countries.
  16. That is, half-billion not that much honestly. I 've had - a billion+ after major battles. But if I remember correctly, I had a bug when the money went to -99.999.999.999, that was once in 1.07.
  17. Ship repairs cost a LOT +fuel/ammo, it is better to have a cushion of monetary reserve before the war.
  18. And this is the reason why I am so angry about the overweight of my DDs. To refit them, you actually have to rebuild the ship, whereas it takes a couple of months to replace the armor on the battleship. And all this despite the fact that the overweight occurs in a second. Yes, I know that refit time is a known issue, but still. Well, this is not counting the fact that in the refit window I have to sort out 200+ ships with the names P-xx.
  19. Notes from endame For four years now (1938-1942) I have been at peace and let the game play itself. Of course, there is a world war XXX edition. The game counts "Update missions" for a very long time. I think it started with the appearance of a large number of submarines. However, there are no critical freezes. I used to think that AI was suffering because of mines because of me. However, now the AI is destroying itself without my help. Yes, this is the entire Italian battlefleet At this point, after closing the first window with a report on mines, a second one appeared. I thought that the reason was the too large size of the Italian fleet, but it seems that the reason is different. It seems that each such window shows damage from mines placed by different nations. I can get four such windows per turn. Yes, I've never seen this before, because my minesweepers removed all the mines. Speaking of which, the main reason for AI problems is that it can place mines, but does not know how to deal with them. AI doesn't realize that it needs a lot of destroyers. Also, as I showed the designs of the AI destroyers, it does not prioritize minesweeping equipment. In addition, AI constantly sends large ships without escort (single ships - reverse doomfleet). Perhaps only Japan has a good situation with destroyers, but...I bonk them so hard that they don't attack anyone, but just move their 60 destroyers (and about 100s subs) around Japan. Other countries send their fleets to fight, but not Japan. Finally, when the Germans sailed to Japan, there was a battle, the Japanese doomfleet broke up and they got their brains back. Now they are building different types of ships and it looks like they will soon be at war with me. In general, mines and submarines need a lot of refinement. In the last war, it was very difficult for my 5000 ASW destroyers to fight against submarines. Everything requires ateention - generation of missions with submarines, auto-resolve, VP for subs. Now the enemy's submarines are just cancer, you press auto-resolve dozens of turns without much result. When you finally manage to sink a submarine, you get practically nothing for it, while your ship is very often damaged (yes, this destroyers with 5000 ASW). Mines have the same problems (apart from the fact that AI does not know how to deal with them). Just no VP. I think it's not right to give full points for ships sunk by mines, but some points need to be awarded. What was done with the blockade is both good and requires improvement. On the one hand, yes, now the effect of the blockade is significant. On the other hand, this way you can completely destroy a nation without getting its colonies. I halved Britain's GDP during the blockade, and it continued to decline for a long time (more than a year) after that. I think that with such an effect on the economy, they had to give everything so that I would stop blockade. Need something more than just 250 points for the very fact of the blockade, need to take into account the effect of the blockade (duration, damage for GDP). It seems that three revolutions have already taken place in Britain this year. It is very strange, since this is the only AI country with a positive fleet prestige. Minor visual bugs. Since I paid attention to the technology, I noticed it. The same numbers for both the developed technologies and for the latest technology. When it is developed, the numbers will be correct, it's just a visual bug. Also, 1932 for remains for 7/8/9 super torpedo protection.
  20. Edit answer: Yes, it happens because of the _boiler_. If you don't believe me, try it yourself. There is no reason for me to invent bugs, there are enough of them here already. In addition, I chose an absolutely clean hull. What else could give boost to the gas turbines? Nothing.
  21. I think everything is obvious, no? I showed everything. You can get an efficiency boost for gas turbines using non-existent boiler. I mean, just look at the numbers. Just take a look. Try it yourself, choose different boilers on conventional turbines, then go to gas turbines. +same on diesels Just a hull with a funnel and turbines, natural boiler Natural boiler + gas turbines Balanced boiler + turbines Balanced boiler + gas turbines As you can see, the choice of the boiler on the turbines affects the gas turbines, although there should not be a boiler.
  22. I'm in the peace, and I've finally been able to watch online how the magical weighting of my ships happens. Like I said, it's wrong and it's just nonsense. Well, some guys came up with a cool idea. And immediately, in one second, all my ships received it. By the way, this is a very complicated tech, for use it you need to rebuild the ship. But magically all my old ships get it. It was just worth the smart guys to think and the hulls of my ships changed. Fantastic. I'm not saying that you need to remove bad modifiers from technologies. Obviously, it is necessary. BUT. Don't touch my old ships. When it is necessary, I will make a refit and apply all new technologies there. The funny thing is that positive weight modifiers are applied during refit, and negative ones are obtained immediately. Why? Edit: My God, it's going on. Just stop it. Enough. +3.Х hull weight is a LOT. Other technologies are simply not able to compensate for these brilliant scientists. Remind me, when was the last time a torpedo hit my ship? Like in 1910?
  23. Meanwhile, almost the whole world loves me, although I have repeatedly destroyed their fleet and set their economy back decades. Just because we have neighboring colonies and there are no ships there.
  24. This bug opens up new perspectives, but it's still a bug. There are already a hell of a lot of bugs in this game.
  25. Even without radar, Bismarck in the game can destroy dozens of destroyers with main guns. At the same time , some DD/CL can do 40+ knots and they are very difficult to hit. It's funny to see how whole fleet is shooting behind/ahead of the target.
