  1. I downloaded an old version of the campaign, and here is the result. On calm water, the pitching of the ship is much stronger. I haven't checked if this affects the accuracy. The enemy is constantly running away, and these ships are very slow, so it's not possible to shoot a lot, CLs do all the work.
  2. A strange thing about which I didn't take screenshots, because I thought I could do them later, but the French resistance blew up my game. In short, I had these Chinese coastal defense ships (CA) with >50% pitch. And in good weather, they looked like they really had 50% pitch. But in bad weather (even just smooth waves), the visual pitching significantly decreased (I would say at least 5 times).
  3. I was lucky to get Korea as an ally, and until the moment when the reborn France broke the game, they constantly took part in my battles. These are some of the best allies in games I've ever seen. They had 5 ships, but they tried very hard. After the battle, the damaged ships of Korea were noted in the losses of enemy ships, but I did not notice any problems with VP.
  4. The opponent can't decide what to do. They're attacking the convoy, but not really. It's a waste of time. Not even my time, I'm doing work/reading books. This is a waste of time for testing.
  5. Free-to-build submarines With the update, I need to drop the old test campaign, but I'll show this old bug on it again. And you can also notice the size of the shipyard. Submarines are free-to-build (FTB). Everything I said about submarines in this post is still valuable. Even worse, now if you need to land, submarines will constantly attack your forces and inflict magical damage. You can say that this is the correct behavior of submarines. Yes, but why can't my 20 destroyers keep 1 submarine away from my battleships or at least guaranteed to kill her? In short, if it is possible to at least fix FTB bug, it would be very cool.
  6. I think I'm missing something... Right now, when a ship in a formation takes damage, the entire formation slows down. This is logical, if it is important to me, I separate the damaged ship.
  7. Giant shipyard. This is the problem of Italy, regardless of the starting year and shared designs.
  8. According to my observations, at 1.10 the flagship is drunk, but all the other ships behave much better.
  9. Total War rudder. I don't remember much anymore, I haven't played Total War for a long time, but the last game I played was Empire with DarthMod (thank you, Nick). There was a rudder, at least for a single ship. I don't remember if it worked for the flagship in the formation. This thing is extremely necessary for micromanagement, especially considering torpedoes.
  10. Court martial. This is waiting for the one who allowed the drunken behavior of ships in battle. There are a huge number of videos on the web where the US Navy performs evasive maneuvers. You can see how it works there. On ships of past eras it was more difficult, but serious crew training saved there.
  11. Thanks. This is the best thing that can convey my feelings without bad words. Fear. I want this game to be successful. As one youtuber who has now left us said, this game represents a potentially the perfect game for me. However, as with many other games, I get the feeling that the developers are not playing their own game. It's been very difficult to enjoy the game lately. I'm not just talking about incredibly annoying old bugs,I'm talking about the fact that there are huge problems with balance. I'm talking about what it is like to land on an island when you need to get close to the port, and the enemy uses mines and free simmortal submarines. I'm talking about the fact that the ship control changes in the current version have nothing at all to do with how it works IRL. These are just two problems, and there are dozens of them, old and new. I fondly recall the first versions of the campaign. I want to play the release version 1.1, but I understand that I won't be able to play for a long time. All these old bugs with TF, the terrible balance of submarines/mines, a lot of new bugs - I just can't stand it. Although there is a "bright" spot - after 10-15 years in the campaign, half of the countries disintegrate, and for the most part the campaign can be considered finished.
  12. This is extremely necessary along with improved landing mechanics. I want to be able to deploy a certain number of people for a certain operation. Now I'm using hundreds of ships and probably hundreds of thousands of soldiers to capture some island.
  13. I managed to land on small islands, but landing on something serious, such as Corsica, always turns into a failure (your 100 ships don't matter).
  14. Shared design works I reinstalled the game, cleaned the ship project repository. I did a lot of projects from 1895 to 1900. Just like last time, there are two options - with the best technologies (1) and with the worst (2). 1900, Italy-Austria-Hungary. Of all the ships, the ships of 1898 were selected, all the best options (1). For some reason, DDs were not selected. The thing is that these are the same projects as yesterday, but this time almost all have been used. I don't know what the reason is. Austria-Hungary also uses my designs (and they even have a destroyer). This is a very big step forward and I am very happy with this feature, but there are two problems, which I learned while playing up to 1910. AI makes refits that spoil everything. At long range, AI has problems with technology research, especially with armor and fire control systems. Of course, the player has the same problems with slow research of some modules. Edit: forgot to mention I just haven't discovered such parts yet, but the ship was built anyway. I do not understand why the ship of 1896 was not built, where there were no these funnels.
  15. It's funny, in my games Russia is constantly losing territories and disintegrating. And they don't even have a historical population. China - yes. Naval invasions continue after peace + Captured channels cannot be used +
  16. Shared design works BUT... I'm really looking forward to this feature (tired of killing hordes of ships that can't fight back). Given the information above, I decided to start the 1900 campaign, for this I made a number of ships from 1895 to 1905. I made two versions for each ship - a premium and a cheap one with degraded technologies. I made all classes of ships for Italy and Austria-Hungary. (AI Shared Designs: Always) I started for Italy and I had one ship from shared designs. The funny thing is, it was a 1900 CA, a premium version. BB, CL, TB - all automatically generated. I went to war with Austria-Hungary, and they didn't have any of my ships. Start for Austria-Hungary - one ship (CL) from shared designs. The war with Italy- they don't have any of my ships. EDIT: In the campaign, the year of these ships is indicated as 1900, but in shared designs these were projects of 1898. Now it is clear why in 1890 it does not work (although it is not correct, the technology of the ships is the same). What's not clear is why the AI doesn't use my projects and why I only have one project. Tomorrow I will test it again, before that I will completely clean the shared design folder.
  17. It doesn't make sense. Why can't they use these designs at the generation stage? Just why? These are the simplest designs (iron plate and so). But even so. I made a lot of designs for 1890-1900, with different technologies. The AI has never used them.
  18. Nothing. Only the southern provinces remained of Austria-Hungary. My empire is Italy + Germany + Austria + Hungary I have positioned my entire fleet, including 20 battleships, to support the naval invasion Six invasions have already failed.
  19. A very serious question. Does anyone have an AI using projects from shared designs? I made the simplest ships of 1890, with the "always" setting, these designs are never used by either my generated fleet or the AI.
  20. The game hung on every turn, but these problems ended after the collapse of SPain. Minor orders the construction of refit Why can I build refits for them, but not for myself?
  21. Now the game has hung up on the 4th year. The world simply could not withstand the might of the Italian army. When countries are in an alliance (and AI does this all the time), the distribution of the army suffers very much. And yes, the army never attacked the southern territories of Austria-Hungary.
  22. Since I am not allied with anyone, my army is not dispersed and passes through enemies like a knife through butter. But please, can you attack further south?
