  1. Well not sure it is that easy to tell the effect on PvP. Ppl might have sailed other ships if not for the Dlc ships. But I am sure you could monitor an increase in plsyers comming back and play after the Dlc patch. Those playerd most like added an extra contribution to PvP.
  2. You are right your point is because of Dlc there are less PvP. The second opinion from you abouth pb’s how did the Dlc bring Down the numbers? Btw your right you didn’t say PvP was dead. But now where we are splitting words, where did I say they savef it?
  3. So you say the Dlc ship killed Pb’s and PvP? Must say I have a hard time to belive that Dlc killed the PB. I would have thought it was all the changes that came with the merge and clan implementing. But I will take your word for it. More ore less PvP. Well guess admin can proberbly find the numbers. Thefact is that the Dlc increased the avarage number of players in the game and must likely numbers playing. There is no sign that the numbers would have gone up, without the Dlc patch. My guess is that the more player the more PvP. But neither of us know what is right ore wrong without actually numbers.
  4. Well my guess is in the end, there would have been no players left without Dlc ships, except maybe 100-200. I rather have some fights, then non. But it is a fair point that only the right PvP matters. Rather play alone with a few guys and it is the right PvP.
  5. You are right on that point. If ppl wasent on Dlc ship, some will still have been on another ship and therefor there will have been other battles. But still not sure how much care ore upgrade ppl will spend on a shallow ship, unless it is for pb’s. But there is no doubt in my mind that they have kept player in the game and made more content.
  6. And what happens to all the ships you craft to get a better ship. You break them up ore just maybe you sell them for a profit, thats give way more than what you can get for selling the Herc and le Reguin to the game. But I agree with you a Dlc ship should not be sold for reals.
  7. In short the Dlc ships have kept players in this game. Thats my opinion. I could ofc be wrong and the DLC ships have made players leave. But when we got the Dlc patch we got a huge spike in in numbers of players online again. I do belive it is because of the Dlc and not for another reason. Lets say we drop Dlc ships. How will we get money so devs can keep server running and pay them to keep putting content in the game? - Monthly fee? - Keep selling cosmetic stuff? - By selling new games. Do I belive a Dlc ship would not be sold if it is nerfed so it is no good? Yes I do. Neither do I think it should be superior. For me the Dlc ship can be here ore not. But would like to hear how ppl actually will finance the game in the long run. It is easy to say no to dlc ship, but there is a consequence to that to. How to fund the game then.
  8. I think the complaint was more abouth the Br it had at that time. Now where br calculation is changed think ppl is fine with it. Any yes it got nerfed to next to never been used.
  9. I know it is not patch notes. Just not sure ppl are taking a break because they wait for a wipe. I actually think it is the last patch that have send ppl on a break. Atleast non of those I normaly play with, neither my own change in gametime has anything to do with a wipe.
  10. Well I can name a couple of players I would be glad if the AI tagged out of the battle.😇 Honnestly I are a bit sceptical about it. We might even see PB fleets get dragged in. I was not in the game when it was in game.(someone told me it has been tried before). Do think the potential damage is more than the worth of it. Might like the part where they join the low side, But again it is all abouth how it will work.
  11. Not sure right now it is the thought about wipe, thats make ppl take a short break. But thats for another tread. Lets see those new things. A bit worried when I go hunting I end up fighting a AI fleet, and not players. But we can’t know before we se how agressiv they make the Ai’s

  13. I have paid attention. But you are right. Is should be more carefull in my demand. I want it as a crafteble ship and not as once in a lifetime offer.

  15. I am all fine by removing trader tool and F11. But think we then should bould in a secretary that keep account of the goods and prices in ports we been in. And only update when we are in the port. Regarding navigation.   16. And this is where NA is now. As said many times by admin, this is a sandbox game. It is up to the players to create content. But who says we need to have PB at all. The game create the possibility to do thing, but it is up to the single player to play it, as he see fit. Without ofc knowing it, my guess is the developers follow the stats of the game. They may even have some goals, on what they want to happen in the game. So if they have a goal, lets say 5 pb a week, well then it is a problem. But if they have no goal at all on PB's and says that it in the end is up to the players, well then we are all fine as it is now.

There is plenty of ways to do it so you can be competive in RvR. - Trade, as you mentioned. - Go hunt for the enemies ships and bring them back/kill them off. -Grind AI missions - Grind the patrolezone - And always PvP ofc. I like that RvR now is hard. Both with cost to have ports, but also cost of having expensive sol's. Now you actually can run out of ships. So you can't just attack all over the map. But on the other side the time I can/will spend on the game and what I want to do when I play. For now the balance has just tipped to some solo play on my Herc and from time to time on a 5 rate.
  18. So better to have a fight than be competive. Is that your answer. My expirience tell me most ppl will not join a fight if they dont think they stand a chance.
  19. And why can't it be both. Mechanic that made ppl forget about PB - Grinding AI(I could actually live with that) - No value in most port. Cost money every day you have a port, except a few. for some nations/clans it actually have been a grind to keep those ports paid, so it stops any interest in getting more. Missing sol fleet. - With out any Sol ships it simply will take to long to flip a port. - Can't make a competive fleet, because ppl simply only can sail in 5 rates(fill the Br because of numbers of players), because they havent enough doublons to make Sol. But again it is up to the players in the end. The Shallow could be a fun place. Still some smal Br ports that could be fought over outside the shallows to. But here comes the issue with players mentality in. Small br pb fleets is easy victims to screenings fleets ore big group just looking for PvP. So unless you can your self have a screening group, well the chance to get in a pb is small.
  20. It is your teaching Master. Who am I to go agsinst it. I understand why ppl want lower Br for Pb and hostillity. Not much fund in grinding Ai’s to flip a port. A lower br to raise hostillity will make it harder to stop an attack. You once where in Sweden, that got multi flipped a couple of times. Do think at that time you from time to time managede either to prevent a multiflip ore make sure the Pb’s wasent on the same time. With a lower BR, that will be even harder. A lower br will effectively stop the defenders chance to counter a flip, depending on how much it is lowered ofc. Lower Br in Pb. Do actually understand why ppl think so. With the base we have now only a few navtion actually can fill a br of 8000. But there is also some issues with a low Br. When you have put together a pb fleet that is competive, you are trying to get in. We often seen players just looking for PvP attacking it and they dont have to be limited in a br. But what we see imo is the result of ppl wanted ships to be expensive. Ppl simple can’t replace there ships. No ships, well I guess no fights. Now ppl dont have unlimited ships and do actually have to think hard if a fight is worth to take and if they lose a ship, will they get in trouble later. Personbaly I think they went the wrong way. But I also understand why ppl wanted RvR to be more hardcore. My guess is that devs have desided that hardcore is the best way for there game in the long run. Yes it will proberbly cost on the short distance until they have had a change of the player base.
  21. You can use 3 rate, it just takes a bit longer to flip. We will see the result of expensive ships, no doubt in my mind. But we got what we asked for. Ppl simply wont have a ship to sail. For me personally the patch just killed the last motivation. Didn’t even go to help in the defend of Fajardo. But it is not about me. Na is a hardcore game. Think that what most of us like about it. Thats skills and dedication has meaning. This patch is a good test if thats the way we should go. But we need to give it more than a week before we just says it dosent work.
  22. Think your answer to me earlier on a post on using 1 rate, when lowering the br to flip a port was. High risk high reward.
  23. We wanted expensive ships and we got it. RvR is now hardcore, so by trimming down Br for portbattles will just turn it back, but on smaller ships. Yeah RvR will suffer, but then again thats what happens when we turned the game more hardcore, witch was what ppl asked for. Now more the ever King of the sea is those with skil and dedication. isent that what we all asked for?
  24. Oure first Pb for some time. Just in the last houre we found players to go defend the port, so we tryed to give it a shot. But in all honnesty it was as mess. Simply because we had to organize crafting ships in last minut and players because of travel time couldn' t be there from the start. Oure normal 3 guys we use as pb commander couldn't be there, so we ended up with the 4 pick, same as we missed some of oure best PvP and RvR players. But we tryed and had fun. A special thx to the pirates for acting like gentlemen(Yeah I know. Pirates and gentlemen sound somehow wrong). They had tagged the spainish pb fleet. The pirates came to us and told us they could kill them, when they heard we wanted the fight, they let them go. Another thx to the player who let admiral Wilemose go, so he could come to the pb.(Hope he has gotten the promished ship, otherweise he can pm me). And last but not least, Spain. Well the wind did a trick on you. Oure fortune, but it for sure cost you the win.
