2. There is one clan left around Du Roy and we never had any anymosity vs the French. The two other clans were Invictus and OMG both of which turned their coats. If you want to know what the pirates around CDR think, might as well ask within your ranks that's where most of them are. Or the Brits perhaps... Tried diplomacy as a pirate and failed miserably. Cannonballs is all people really listen to in this game so cut to the chase. Nobody trusts a pirate unless its with a bayonette.

GGS Frenchies, well played I guess. Pirates were strong despite their smaller numbers becauee of the amount of higher level players we had. OMG and Invictus leaving made a huge dent into our capacity to keep control of the land we conquered. Unless we are super organized and chose which of the north or south we keep, this is a role inversion for sure. CF, I and OMG were the key to keeping the north and only CF and plebs remain to hold the north. CF has good players but we are very few, so it looks grim, very grim for the CDR area. That French war was never intended on the part of CF and I've been saying since it started that we should stop it asap and get all local nations to work together to eventually face the Brits or US, whichever would come first. The boys down south had other plans so we helped them a bit, more as a debt for them helping us than by conviction. I'd like to say CF is still alive and intact, because we've seen alot of rumors about us disbanding. We are still 58 members strong and lost one guy to the OMG migration. Have fun capping all those empty ports and ganking the greens in CDR OMG, as it turns out you guys traded 4 quarters for a dollar, ganking pirate noobies instead of ganking french newbies.

You misunderstood, I meant if there is no punishment for this kind of behavior, was not talking about this case in particular as I obviously have no way to prove it was a ln alt spy. The devs have ot though. Anyways I'm just venting, but if everyone starts doing that the game is as good as dead. Several of the members took shots but I don't have any myself.

I doubt it, but then again you could be right, The other numbers are pretty spot on from what I've seen and heard from my little birds, so I mean when you add it all up, that's about what's missing to fill it. That does not necessarily reflect the total population, I have a feeling the US have more than half the pop, but less active players overall. If I could all the members in my guild it's impressive, but when I look at the online count on a busy night, not so much,

I'm not gonna retype what he said verbatim but there was a lot of "N" working going around and cursing. Now, was this just a troll, a super bad player or an actual Brit spy I cannot say for sure. But if I were a dev, I would look at the logs. I have a feeling they'd be able to tie his IP to one of the Brits on that fight... Or perhaps even one of the Pirates, because we had some guys that changed nations and are hell bent on causing us trouble. Worth investigating.. because if there is no punishment for that, I'll go ahead and have all my boys buy seconds accounts to do exactly that to everyone and we'll just steamroll the server without any opposition... you know?

It was him in a 60 crew Surprise and his 2 Cutters, so 3 slots. In reality he didn't hurt that much because we didn't have 25 but the sheer fact he was there to begin with on top of doing green on green makes me suspect he was either a uber troll, a total retard or a Brit player just looking to tip the odds. Banned, reprimended whatever won't change much. I hope the devs have IP logs and can check if indeed the player was associated with anyone on the other team. Banning a high level player associated with this behavior would be a good way to fight this. I'm just very sad to see this kind of exploit happening. Not as if a 25 man defense team needed this kind of under the belt tactic. Hoping it was just a troll or retard, but I don't have that much faith in humanity.

At peek we have approx 800 players. My guestimate is: 300 us 200 brits 200 pirates 30 dutch 30 french 20 spanish 15 swedes 5 danes Dutch/danes, maybe swedes unsure have a bit more overall than this but they have more euros so they are more split. Only small nation doing a lot of pvp are the french... Not to say others don't but its much less constant.

That works when you have a handful of people to manage. Try that when you have 250 members between all organized clans. Would be nice to make it simple, but we're way past the "familly size" nation.

I would like to report this player for behavior that most of us considered totally out of line last night in a port battle between Pirates and Brits @ Little Iguana (approx 10pm EST). This Pirate player joined the port battle fight in a Surprise w/ 2 fleet members and he was a level 1, undercrewing the Surprise at 25% crew. By joining the battle, he potentially prevented 3 players from joining, players that would probably have tipped the balance in our favor. His behavior on chat was against the rules, but I don't really care much about that. Once the battle started, he shot at us and rammed some of us before leaving, so it is obvious his sole intention was to disrupt the battle and freeze those spots to prevent us from having a fair and fun fight. I would also take the opportunity to recommend to the devs that there should be a minimum rank and possibly limit to full crew players for deep water port battles and I would also recommend that any fleet members be "temporary" members that can be replaced by actual players at any time within the normal "join" window of said battle. It was just one guy, but if the enemy was to use 5-6 alts to conduct such cheap tactics, it would severely impact the game's viability both for port and open sea battles.

GGZ. I really hope for the sake of this game that retard in a 60 crew Surprise w/ 2 fleet members that joined us was not one of your guys doing it on purpose... Then again I simply cannot imagine how a low level guy would be running around in a Surprise and 2 fleet members and doing this if it wasn't on purpose/planned. If the Brits are actually using that kind of bottom of the barrel tactics, the devs really need to address this kind of issue. Other than that, it was a pretty epic fight, we all very much enjoyed it.

Is this that exploit accusation coming around again? Would someone finally substantiate this claim once and for all? I actually had a discussion about that last night with the other leads of CF to figure out if any of our guys had been doing this kind of stuff and no.. but I keep hearing those accusations against pirates and I'm curious.

Totally agree with you, don't mistake my words for bitterness, I totally understand you guys and where you come from.

I do a lot of things on the forums and can be a master troll at times but one thing I do not do is lie. If I ever say or said anything untrue, it would be because I have been misinformed rather than trying to misinform. Diplomat, troll, but definitely not a liar or propagandist. OMG are not spies sent to create chaos within France... But that's not to say they won't have the same effect as if they were, just saying.

OMG was by far the most toxic crew we had on the pirate side. You know the kind of guys who take part of a 10 clan vote, are the only ones to not agree and then do exactly what we agreed not to do all while trying to pull members of all the clans to follow their plan, causing chaos, confusion and in-fighting within and between the clans. Each and every time they were on the shared teamspeak the same kind of toxic drama occurred... They may be good players but they certainly were an absolute pain to work with. Good luck to them and good luck to the frenchies. Also I called that this would happen about 8 hours before it did, it was obvious they were about to leave the nation based on all the drama they caused in the past week. All I'm gonna say on the subject.

That information cannot be shared, but I will tell you this, we have no expansion plans. No, we will not steamroll the Swedes, Dutch or Danes. We have zero interest in that. Suffice to say, we are currently discussing future plans and they are pretty similar to what the French plans seem to be. We're going to harass the bigger nations in open sea battles and protect what we have the best we can. The French issue is kind of slowing down this process, that is all, go ahead and claim a win or success on that one, but it's not a big concern to us.

First off, you underestimate the unity of the clans. There are so many because of the sheer number of pirates.. There are at least 4 clans that have 50-60 members and at least as many who have 30ish members, and a ton more that have 10-20ish active members. The fact that everyone is down here is a testimony that there is a form of unity, if the majority of pirates didn't agree with our presence here they would be elsewhere. This is not happening, we are seeing new names pop constantly, we even had (and I won't say who" a large chunk of one of the Crayola nations telling us they were thinking of switching sides en-masse and that pirates was on the table. As for offering ports back around the capital, we never wanted or needed them, we've said this before, and I think a majority of pirates expected the French to come to their senses after 1-2 port caps and would have came back to the table to discuss, but that never happened. This has infuriated several clans and they are now bashing at the French pointlessly. The clans around Du Roy generally don't even think about the French, that's all behind us, we're jumping on a port here and there because our friends down south helped us when we did the initial push and it's only natural to return the favor. If any french leader wants to talk, I could probably arrange it. Everyone would need to put a lot of water in their wine for anything to happen though.

Stop thinking we are dumb. I understand all the subtilities. What you fail to understand is that you lost the war even though you don't realize or acknowledge it. We offered several things to you guys and never once backed out of them. You never offered anything, never, in fact all you've done is make demands. You are in no position to make demands. You can beg for mercy and we'll probably grant it and more than likely give back more than you would even expect. We need to hear Slamz' shacky voice on teamspeak asking for mercy with tears in his eyes. Is it too much to ask? That's honestly all we've wanted since all this started.

Geez this convo took one hell of a turn. I'll be honest, out of character here, I wanted that deal that went south to work. We aren't here for small nation bashing and I'd dare say a majority of pirates think it went too far. I have a feeling that the angry people on both sides are probably way too angry for any deal to even be considered at this point though... But we have yet to have a single frenchie reach out and plead for mercy. We didn't come here to crush them.. But one thing led to another and Slamz pissed off everyone.

Ohhhh it finally comes out, someone substantiates that accusation of pirates/swedes exploiting the game. Newsflash bros, most pirates have never seen a Swede.. They come over here like once a week, tell us in advance and we go have a little friendly brawl with equal numbers... get sunk once and return home with GGZ and a pat in the back. There is no exploitation whatsoever here, we sink the enemy ships as fast as we would any other nation. Last such occurrence was Saturday where 10 Swedes went to Plymouth and sent me a PM to bring some guys there... I called out in pirate chat and went there... 15 min later, not a single other pirate was there.. I offered a 1vs1 to the Swedes but apparently they had other plans and didn't take the offer. I haven't heard of anyone exploiting any game mechanics within our rank or theirs and the devs have already said themselves they are on the lookout for that type of exploitation, that 20ish members have already been stripped of their ranks for this and that about 10ish are on a watchlist. They also said in the same post none of this was on PVP2US. If any CF member or pirate is ever found to use this kind of exploit, I will personally report them. You Brits really like the propaganda... It's really sad that you have to fall to those levels.

Well you now have close to zero ports and losing more every day. Obviously the deal is not what you wanted, but the alternative (which is playing out currently) isn't any better for you guys.
