  1. Will this patch include fortifications? I have been in the belief that "New Port battles" mentioned in the "Devlog: Forthcoming content patches plan" included fortifications in the port battles. Has this changed or been modified?

The problem is that without the timer, If I were to attack a ship outside one of their ports, there is the possibility that I would have to fight every ship docked at the port since players would have time to teleport from any location on the map to that port, undock, and join the battle. Having ships joining your battle that were not already sailing in the open world, allows for too much advantage to the docked side. It also prevents ships from hiding in battle end screens and then joining your battle without your knowledge. I agree with the current timer. The solution is to have your friends undock at the port you are arriving at or sail with an escort.
  3. How about updates to the mission system? Expansion of the admiralty mechanic? No mention of this on future content. New Missions types - Escort - Patrol - Exploration. Work for the Military - Admiralty?

    Its Frigate and lower hunter... and because its guns are lower to the water it can shoot small ships easier
  6. I believe a great idea should be to attach the stats to the ship and not to the players themselves, (which we should be able to name too) That way you can look back and see the history of each ship and who it has been captures from and so forth.
  7. Where would the magic be if you knew where you were?
  8. A custom slider would be awesome. I would love to hold my mouse over the gunnery button and scroll up and down with the middle mouse wheel to add and remove crew from stations.
  9. This would work well, but the cost of a large fortress should be astronomical and all others below scaled equally. In fact there should be unprotected ports also or ports with 1 tower on the outskirts of civilization. In addition fortifications should draw some sort of resources, tax, or docking fee to maintain (except of capitals to allow new players to be protected and not be taxed).
  10. In fact if you have seen multiple period Cannons fire you can probably say that the smoke is too thin and disperses too fast.
  11. If you use depower , battle, and turning yards it is quite easy to stay in formation as ships stop and accelerate very quickly in this game.
  12. As mentioned above this would allow higher ranked captains to sail smaller ships and allow them to easily captured lower ranking captains in the same boat due to the crews increased size.
  13. I think the purpose for this mechanic is to make it difficult to detect and hail ships that are far away as it should be. In fact I believable the hailing mechanic such as, country, and ship type identifier, should not appear until boats are much closer than they do now, this will force players that are looking to fight to close their distance in an attempt to identify targets instead of the long distances (Radar mode) we have now.
