Couldn't make Spotsylvannia, I believe the ground and battle area we fought and camped for Chancellorsville was actually part of the Spotsylvannia battlefield which is not protected apparently but we ended up camping parallel to the Confederate Cemetery. Did you participate in the tactical if so how was it we were still setting up and was cool hearing the engagement in the distance. I kinda felt bad for you yanks you guys were pretty far from the sutlers and battlefield, but was a glorious site seeing the huge blue marching line of yanks pouring on the field lol

David you think the mentality of the cavalry in this game is because the developers are European maybe? Assuming cav in the ACW is like Napoleon tactics

Well that's disappointing to hear you need to give them a direct link to the historical records so they can understand the true roles of cavalry. I'm all for accuracy and historical as possible but that won't happen oh well still love and support the game.

Were you at the 150th Chancellorsville? That was my first major event and being in the ranks of regiment size and hearings the cracks of volleys and the sounds of battle, let's just say "I saw the elephant" lol seeing all them yanks in front of us I just got emerged and I was there and to be honest I was scared of my fate and was in awe. Of course it was a glorious day for the Confederacy untill we heard the sad news of our beloved Jackson.

I know the feeling Remise I hate standing in formation then command to fire have a double load go off in my ear. I just couldn't imagine the chaos and struggle in the ranks for real. Braves men indeed.

I think I've read that the reason where the guns were loaded more than once was because the sounds of battle it was really loud so thinking they've already fired they just keep loading.

Been there twice never gets old and you can never see everything make sure to stop by Sharpsburg and Harpers Ferry all close enjoy

Keep it historical only day 3, just add n what if scenarios like the one Reb mentioned id love to see Stuart tear up Buford lol

Antietam and Chancellorsville for Jackson's surprised flank attack on them blue bellies.

The Iron Brigade at the end of the war were very depleted so many lives were lost since they were hard fighting men and had to be refitted a lot. At Gettysburg they put up a hell of a fight on day 1 but were basically mowed down and really didn't see much fighting te next two days.

Never mind you did random you probably got the cautious or something play dynamic, determined, or cunning the AI is very smart and wise and challenging with them.

What difficulty was you on?

I'm currently reading Sam Watkins memoirs they're really detailed and graphic haven't finished yet lol

I second and am all for the full three days I the battle to play through and we can break at night except the nightly attack on culps hill.
