  1. Blackbeard raided Charlestown, raised port royal and havana. Your wrong lol this is the carribean mate. Blackbeard raided Charlestown for medicine lol. And that’s just one pirate. Black Sams wreck is found outside of Boston harbor. Here is a list of all the wrecks on the Florida coast for instance from traders, warships and pirate wrecks. Pirates actively hunted outside of capitals of Europe to, look for Barbary pirates for instance.
  2. It’s simply one thing, they can’t grasp the concept of wind needed to retain the energy to keep the battle in their favor long enough for them to kill the enemy they are fighting...lol. They don’t understand sailing or simple naval tactics, my advise to learn it is to leave the reinforcement zone, go to a place on the map with similar player experience(any other nation capital) and learn it like the rest of the vet community in the game did.
  3. Reinforcements spawn between you and the attacker where the initial battle started from. So if you don’t call it right away, it will not be in a place where you need it to be.
  4. In what way, does this game allow seals to be clubbed in reinforcement zone? Every nation has players designated to their capital area to reinforce the new players. Look, if I never was handed pvp on my first week of playing, I’d not even be here now lol. It is up to the nation to put in the effort to help the newbie in a battle open FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE BATTLE
  5. Yes, but in order to do anything in EVE first you must leave HI sec to get anything done. There is no reason to leave reinforcement for the pve player. What reason do you have to leave reinforcement? You can build anything you want, do whatever you want, get whatever resource you want(even if it’s high priced) and be perfectly happy. That’s not a sandbox pvp game. There is s server out there to do exactly that.
  6. The game should not cater to the lack of knowhow from the defenders point of view, in a battle that is heavily against the aggressor both in terms of AI and battle open for 90 minutes. It is the defending nations fault the player in the reinforcement zone is not getting the reinforcements he wants from his nation. Fact is, if I tag someone outside french capital, for instance, I WILL get hit by a fleet of people ready to defend their newbies. If I hit someone on the US coast or British capital, well that’s just a joke. It’s all about team play in a sand box mmo. Remember the battles are open 24/7 and it’s so easy to ask the defender “which side of the battle is it, N,S,E,W?” And he tell you where location is and you can spawn right on top of the aggressor in most cases. It’s so easy to defend your seals from getting clubbed if you play as a team lol
  7. It is a sand box game. And it is based on a team play function. Just like I would want to have a friend to lure the AI away in a battle that is open for 90 minutes, the victim should also want someone to help him right out side YOUR capital aswell. There is no reason the defender should go entire length of battle without proper help from his TEAM he is playing on in his OWN capital reinforcement area. It is not the fault of the aggressor at this point, it is the fault of the people in the reinforcement zone on the same team as the defender to apply the right amount of reinforcement given to the player in need.
  8. We need more reason to push people out of the reinforcement zone in general. There is no reason 4000 hour sailors at max rank should be able to do anything they want to do in game in reinforcement zone.
  9. All you have to do is kill 2-3 people to be on leaderboard when solo hunting. That is big ships or traders. It’s really not even difficult.
  10. To talk a little on the games history I lived through it all. The topic of hunting near capitals is a good subject for me because I have done it all. I started as a US player long ago and I was given a surprise when I got to a rank where I could have 250 crew. I figured since the guy that gave me surprise for free was rich enough, I could use this to my advantage and hunt him down. I used his surprise that he gave me to kill his LGV and capture it and teleport to Mortimer town because now I was a pirate. those days were harsh as a new player, but it’s what I enjoyed. Moving on... im a pirate now and I enjoyed the thrill of hunting after my first victim. Next day I am in Mortimer town as a pirate, knowing I can attack my own without penalty other than possibly getting ganked and having to run away, I still risked it. When attacking even your own nation you got xp and gold. I was set on doing this until curse rank, which I did. I earned a reputation in these times, my nation hated me, but hunting outside capital waters is all I did. Log in, get pvp, log out. Was fun. Then first pirate vs pirate was removed, so now I decide to join british. Im a british player now and I’m at war with french nation, I decided to raid there, using the small islands to hide and get cover, but there is forts now, things are a lot tougher for me. I have to attack him before fort range. Was a challenge for sure, but was successful for me nonetheless. wipe came, outlaw battles are back, I join pirate. This time it’s free for all battles. Doesn’t make a difference for me, I did it anyway, still felt the exact same way. But people took notice, and started to do it with me, since it’s no longer a 1v1 deal, things got much easier for me, and also much harder, outlaw battles open for 30 minutes and there is no designated join circle, there has been plenty of times where a first rate spawned right in front of me 20 minutes into battle and I have to disengage. reinforcement zones and the removal of outlaw battles, it’s much harder now. 2 first rates spawn when I am hunting french now. I have to keep my distance from the port, or get attacked myself. Which is never an advantage for a hunter. I want to make my own battles based on what’s in front of me. Success rate started to fall. I’d hang out in reinforcement gaps, but things are still tough, since people started to take note on the size of their zone. now to modern times, I am a prussian privateer now, due to low population, I don’t have to compete with allys(this is why I enjoyed outlaw mechanics so much) I can play in the zone again, but it’s still hard. Battles open forever, anything can happen to me, nothing I’m afraid of though, I used to do outlaw battles that were 30 minutes open remember. Feels like the same exact experience I got when I was an outlaw pirate. And for that, since it is still hard, reinforcements can get hectic depending on the ship you use, it’s still very hard for a privateer, and it should be. This is the perfect mix between what we used to have in the past, to what it is now.
  11. With the battle being set open the reinforcements spawn is not the scariest thing that happens when sailing my prince. Even an enemy player that joins your battle on your side has influence on what happens. If a swedish 4th rate comes in my battle where I’m hunting down an indiaman with my prince, then I have to compete with the situation given to me or I have to just disengage. Which is fair I guess. Choosing a ship built with a unique sailing profile and enough power in crew or firepower to get the job done quickly and get out quickly is great. It does feel like proper privateering for sure, and I can’t complain.
  12. I enjoy hunting with my prince now. It’s a nice little challenge and totally fair play in reinforcement zone. I have to think of wind placement, I have to know that when I attack someone there will reinforcements id have to deal with and I have to get the job done quickly before any other player in their lineships jump into the battle. It feels like proper raiding again, and totally fair. The 6th rates feel very nice hunting the reinforcement zones.
  13. In my own opinion, if you have determined defender, boarding preparation should effect how determined your crew is. If you have 0 prep, then determined defender should not work. If your not prepared to push laters and repel ropes, then you simply can’t be determined enough to defend. 30% is fine if this is added. 50% prep for 15% determined defender, 100% for 30% defender. I think if your crew is not told to prepare for boarding, then you should not be prepared to push a latter off with a simple perk.
  14. No one ever actually killed anyone from NSANE in the pirate nation. We never got caught.
  15. So @adminsays his language is not appropriate to the tribunal, so he speaks native and gets deleted?
  16. It’s not against the rules. Lenin has done it for years with 3-4 alts in port battles. If it’s all on one side it’s perfectly legal to multi box.
  17. I think it’s 100% legit, just the devs need to fix the system in patrols. We’ve been asking for it for awhile now. Leave it to lucky to show where mistakes need to be fixed on patrol zone.
