  1. Hello Defs and Capts, So with the new hostility system and regional bonus, PBs are becoming rare and important. This means for new players they don't get much chance to practice PB or even join a PB. Besides this for me and also alot of other players PBs are the most fun to participate in. 1. What I would like to suggest is in the Misson tab under Ship Duels, some kind of lobby called something like PB practice. Where you can enter with 10-25 players and practice vs AI or even vs players.. There will be no rewards or loss meaning you can try anything you want. There should be an opption to select shallow, normal or lineship port. 2. What Im also really missing is a custom duel lobby where we players can make te rules of which ship can join, how many, how long the battle will last etc. etc. I think this will be a great addition to game because if you dont have much time you can still enjoy the lovely experience of fighting in this game, you can practice more (with clan and nation) and new players get a chance to learn the ropes. These two can ofc. be combined in one single custom duel room where you can select PB or 5v5 duel etc. etc. Thanks for reading and let me know what you guys think

  3. Thanks for the update. Question: Do we get some sort of message/post/announcement 1 day before you will deploy the october patch? Or You will patch it whenever its ready - which means all our ships and items should be move right away and need to stay there untill the patch is deployed
  4. 1. Wind system - predictable and boring, need to be more randomly and unpredictable also sea states in battle must change and stormmaps should be added again 2. No big event/mission the lack of a custom duel/battle room the lack of escort/search and destroy - anything fun to do with your clan or friends besides port battle/OW pvp/ai missions 3. As alpha tester not getting the chance to test new ships/paints/upgrades, only because of bad luck. We are alpha tester we need to test 4. No Dutch ships in game, for obv reasons
  5. I like your idea about permanent crafting the mods with the ship. And I think a 1 dura system can work but if we lower the cost and lbhrs of producing a ship and maybe increase the lbhrs we get pr hour. This all together will make crafting a bigger part of the game.
  6. Agreed. Would be nice if this would come with a different wind system. (http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/16583-idea-for-new-wind-system/). Atm this is too much of a routine and too predictable. I would really love to see a system where there is a change these conditions change during the battle. This way when you are losing you can always hope for the wind/sea state to change. And when you are winning you always have a fear the wind/sea state change. Instead of knowing what will happen. Great idea!
  7. If you enter battle when its storming in OW -> Also storming in battle. Dont like fighting in storm? Dont enter battle in storm. Furthermore can someone tell me: Why did they removed storm maps? Why don't we hear anything from the devs about this matter? Even after this poll (245 people vote yes 9% no) I think this should mean something or else polls have no meaning.
  8. I understand, but I try to keep it simple and see it more as a first step towards something more realistic and better (in the end im no game maker and dont know enough about the age of sail). "from light ships up to ships of the line behaviour in different wind strengths, instead of "speed bonus" gamey thing. Light ships risk serious rigging damage and even mast breaks in very strong winds while a Ship of the line might actually behave better in that type of wind, just as an example." Different ship behaviour would be a very nice addition to my suggestion, thanks for the reply
  9. Naval action is sold as a realistic naval combat game. I really love the game but I just can't and will not accept the current wind system. One direction all battle long (never the fear that the wind will turn against you or the hope it will turn in favor). In OW always the same speed and direction all over the world just ticking counter clockwise, it just makes everything predictable and alot more boring. IMO (and I think and know alot more players) this should be a high priority to change and therefore I would like to suggest a new system (to start with) we could use. There should be 2 things that need to change: 1. Wind speed To start with we should have 3 types of wind speed. 1. 10% of the time -Slow wind 0.5-0.8x speed 2. 80% of the time -Normal wind (what we use to have) 1x speed 3. 10 % of the time - Fast wind (stormy) Not sure what to do here (suggestions in comment) Please don't take these percentage and numbers to seriously its just to explain my thoughts/idea These wind speeds should be different from place to place and there should be a chance (maybe very low) that the this speed can change at any moment. 2. Wind direction As second: The wind direction system as it is now is to predictable and from time to time kinda boring. I think we must create a system where wind direction is different in different regions (and unpredictable) Therefore we must create a new system where wind direction isn't global and will also change in a unpredictable way. Im not sure how this will work out in open world, but im sure this will add a whole new dimension to battles. The impact on a battle of a changing wind direction can be huge and just the idea that the wind can change at any moment will make the game a lot more exciting. 3. Wind speed and direction shouldn't be global As said before: Wind speed and direction should be different around the map. Maybe to start with we can create wind regions/zones where you have different conditions. Addition to this system the OW wind direction and speed should be the same as in battle. So if you enter a battle at 68.7 15.5 or something and the wind direction is SE Slow wind you enter battle in these conditions. As soon as the wind changes in OW it also changes in battle. The current wind in te carribean sea and gulf of mexico I really really really hope we get something like this, please devs put this on your to-do list: This should be a must have for a realistic exciting naval action game period Any suggestions, idea's, additions etc etc are welcome please put them down in the comments. Any people against a new wind system (in any form) please explain to me way, because I can think of 1 good reason, other than I like the current system (which I just cannot believe)
  10. Solution to favor both sides: You may log off in battlescreen but a mark will be left on the place you log off (mb with name and shiptype). When you log in again your mark will turn red and you will spawn in 2-5 minutes around your mark. This way you can go to sleep or eat After a battle. Players waiting outside know if you ve logged off. There wont always be a massive force if you log in again. And people can go hunt for red marks.

I like this alot. for normal ports maximum of 25 ships: 2 - 1st rates, 3 - 2nd rates, 5 - 3rd rates, 7 - 4 rates and 8 - 5,6,7 rates (I dont really care much about these numbers could be change ofc.) But this concept I like alot! Really hope more people love to see this. Seeing port battles with only 2 types of ships all of the same rate is just a sad picture.
  12. Thanks for sharing great chances imo. Please reconsidder windspeed, this will complete the great sailing simm you have been working on. Same as some others i would love to see shallow and deep waters in pb for obv reasons. Keep up the good work!
  13. Ahoy Mateys, Im playing this game for around 3 months now and while playing I came up with some things/ideas I would love to see ingame. I've been on the forums and read some suggestion post, but not all so let's hope these things haven't already been suggested. My list of suggestions 1. Extra chat tabs(LFG, Trade, Invaders) : - Looking for group tab (for missions port battles ganking etc) - Trade chat obv for buying and selling things - Enemy spotted chat (for the location of invaders in your home waters) This way you can keep the chat organized and clear 2. Shiplist port If you enter a port you should be able to see which ships are dokked in the port. Maybe a tab next to: fleet | ships | missions | Shiplist or something so you can see who is dokked in port. (maybe also tell their clan, nation etc) This list can contain all ships dokked or only the ships with a captain at that moment 3. Nation bonus In my opinion all nation should have atleast one special unique nation bonus. Example: Dutch - Trading profits Great Britain - Ship building (less lbhrs or more exp) Pirates - Extra crew/boarding bonus 4. Titles and achievements I quess people are already working on this or have already suggested this, but anyways. Examples: Explorer / trader - visited all free ports Conqueror - captured more than x amount of ports Trader - Builder - Etc Etc 5. Custom flags - Give clans the opportunity to get or make their own special flag - Boatnames (Already suggested) This way you can see through the spyglass which enemy (or ally) you are facing and which clan he's in, without the need of clicking on a ship and make the game tell you this stuff. And ofcourse its also nice to have your own boat name and clan flag. I hope people like these ideas, let me know what you think!
