  1. Ahoy! Id like the marines be changed again. Why is that? The way they are now make them useless when higher than basic or commun, because they take away crews. So a basic is using 10% of your crew, then basic 20% (already a huge deal), then 30%..... up to 50% for Exceptional o.O... seriously. Who want a 30 or 40 or even a 50% of their crew as marines when you have a ship of the line??? Just having a fine marines on my Pavel give me 240, its a huge amount off the crew Marines should be reworked. In that time warships had marines and they were also able to have their full crew in the same time, so this not make any sens the way they are right now. More over, they take already 1 upgrade slots, so why making them that way? They should give less marines and not in % but in numbers... because if you put an hammok, well your crew is higher, so the numbers of marines, so it doesnt fix the issue. Make marines just give a certain number of marines and dont take crew
  2. I really like that man, this is great But im not sure about Dev deciding war and peace, could work. But maybe we just need a mecanic implemented involving the players themself. For your pirates ideas, this is also good. Exept i dont agree for limiting pirates crafting (already discussed a lot in another tread about the next patch), they should craft everything. A lot of pirate i know are good crafter and its unfair for them. Historical argument is nul, because this is not a historicla game, its a sandbox. At least they should be able to have up to the 4th rate with boarding bonus, different stats and more crews just as you explained, but I would prefer crafting not limited at all for them. I really like your idea of boarding at higher speed and boarding bonus. But anyway, overall its excellent.
  3. Babble: I like your idea. I think that could bring interesting fights.. Id like to see battles that escalade to huge battle, would be epic. And its fun to be able to help friends when you are not directly beside them. And that seem to also fix the problem of ganking to have a fight. Its true that most of the time to get a fight its boring ganking. I dont see the fun to attack a few players with a lot more numbers of ships. I like fights with lot of ship with aprox same strenght and the course of battle change because more ships join by sailing toward them because they were in the reinforcment cicle. and ultimely they really should rework all the port battle mecanic.. no more flag and time window... they should think about soemthign better to replace that.
  4. I like the idea, but also hard to do in a historical game. Nation should stay but maybe adding more consequences and more decision on whats going on from the players could add somethign great. Making the missions and sail do a difference on cityes, politics etc... mayeb the moral system proposed by a player could be a direction to explore. i dont know.. but im sure the dev will bring something good for us pretty soon. because next patch content should be about politics, war and peace and pirates rules. im so looking forward to see what it would become
  5. btw, i found that video interesting I like that Rakam were able to capture the bigest spanish ship and became notorious because of that. Its a lil bit like in Black Sails, where they took historical story about them to create the show
  6. I like this, I was thinking the same. 1) Give Pirate 3-4 more Towns like MT as uncapable bases. - Yes I agree. I would see 1 pirate city/zone in each region... maybe something like 6 town, not capturable. This also would fix the pirate as real pirate. What I mean is this: Because they will need ressources, they will need to raid ports, capture trader AI and players, run pirate missions. So do whaty pirate normaly do, just by making this happen 2) They still can base out of Free Towns - Of course 3) No Capturing of other Ports.. just do a post battle with the win being a Sack of the port and all the loot they get sent directly to their closest Warehouse -- Yes!! But I suggest that a port raided be unavailable for 12h, 24h or 48h (depending of the success rate of the raid) for the other nation, no outpost reachable, no trade, no one enter.. its chaos! 4) Allow cargo on a captured ship to be sent home with the ship.. (this should be for everyone) -- YES! 5) Allow Pirates to craft Pirate Frigates but they can only be sold at Pirate Havens and only traded to other Pirate members(still captureable in battle. -- YES, but more. I dont want pirate be taking away from crafting SOL. I think no group should be penalized like that, I dont care historical, this is a game and also no nation are historical right now, a lot of nation would cry if the dev were making all of them historical. I enjoy every part of the game myself, Crafting, PVP, Port battle, PVE. So its unfair and will hurt the community if pirates are changed in a faction that cannot craft everything. I believe that having the point 1 implemented is a good way to limit a bit the capacity of the pirates to get too many SOL anyway. If they can raid and plunder enough to get big ship and raid a lot, so be it.. its fun that way for everyone, we get good fights with big ship, cool. They could have pirates version of some of the ships tho.. different stats, option, paint, color, skull on them, black sails if they want, spikes etc. 6) Remove in Open World ALL player nations and ranks.. Just show Ship type and Nation it claims to be... You get zero other info until in combat.. no knowing going in if the guy is Uncrewed or a Bad ass -- I suggest a bit different and better in my opinion. Zero information until you can use a spyglass to see a flag (flags and spyglasses implemented into the OW). Then, if you approach someone close enough (the same distance you can see a port name), then you can see the name and information like nation. 7) Going with option 6, allow Pirates to use false nation flag that they buy and craft. only other pirate would see they are pirate, and pirate with these flag could go in nation port maybe. If they attack someone, they loose that flag and need another one.. but players will probably notice their names and when they see them again, could attack them and that would make them loose their flag 8) OR, another way to do pirate, if no flag and pirates only ports, allow some kind of hiden pirate heven that they could build on island (add more island that are not on map too). 9) Pirates mission where you enter an instance and attack huge convoy of traders with heavy escort. that would be a blast. (with also other kind of pirate mission you could bring) Anyway, limiting pirate from some aspect of the game is not good. This is the last thing they should do. But by using the first proposition, you keep them everywhere around, limit a bit ressources unless they start doing what pirates normally do (plunder, raids, etc), and they keep their fun when they can build a SOL. I am also a crafter and I liek crafting big ship and I like beeing a pirate. Not able to capture port would be good enough.
  7. I suggest something slightly different, but better. They should do like EVE Onlin! Its like 1 big server, but its made of several server across the world, communicating all together. Its the best. People wont see anything, wont have to choose anything, its gonna be just like 1 big server for everyone. No one will lagging (because automatiquely youll be on the closest server, and anyway you wont know this and wont see anything... everyone playing in the same world, all the players of the game together, because of the servers communicating together. If EVE can have 50k players all logued at the same time, Naval Action can do something like that easy.

  9. I'm loving the actual ambiance in PVP 2 as well. People are nice and we still get a lot of fun action. But I would like to have 500 more players on it, that would be just a good numbers of players for that server
  10. Why the dev dont start a new campain on steam to bring more new players. Make a discount on steam and make them annonc eyour game again, youll probably have a new wave of players coming soon. And if you can do it somewhere else too in the same time, why not? DEV, why not?? Do something pls. I like PVP 2 server, the people there etc. Don't let your server dies like that please. When I joined the server, the evening has about 800 players onlin, now sicne a few weeks its 250, 295. during the day its worse with 100 online only. 900 players onlin on EU pvp, 295 max on USA pvp I have a way better ping on the US server.
  11. People are just sheeps or what? lol... looks like its the case. If the people would just stop following the others or switch just because things dont go as they want, the population of PVP 1 would be still good. As for me, I wont leave the server until im forced to do so. I would even suggest the dev to limit the number of time peopel can jump server just for fun. Devs, you need to put some limitation, exemple: lost of 1 rank + limit of jump with same character 1 time. Same for Nation. peopel should have some limitation , like that they think about it twice before doing such drastic move. Without limitation, things like that happen and you have a server emptying for another, it just take a good group of players doing so. In my opinion, we should not even be able to change server (unless a server close or merge, then you keep everything and switch). You want to play another server, make another char on that server and start over. And you should allow us to have like 3 character then. The game is still Alpha, so im not so worried. But leaving while maybe theres gonna be a swipe or a merge... well this is just stupid.
