  1. The boarding mechanic IMO is too slow and the outcome of each round is not enough driven by the player attack/defense picks; 1- Reduce the round timer to 10 seconds instead of 15: Actually, player spend most of their time waiting for the timer. 2- Add a Fight and Defense pick option for more immersive and player decision fight model; Example: Player can choose the attack option and then pick an attack model (Sword fight, Axe fight, Knife fight, Pistols) and Defense can do the same. Sword attack should have a slight advantage versus Axe but should have more casualties versus a defense Pistols. 3- Crew should have experience level that would impact each round. They should be rated as they were when the ship was first fitted at port with the different type of sailors. They should also gain experience to rank up with each fight until they reach veterans level. 4- Crew experience should impact the cannons reload time, sailing ability, cannons accuracy, boarding abilities. Veterans should have less chances to be killed by grape than regular Sailors, Marines should be extremely hard to kill by grapes volley while Sailors should dies like cockroaches. All this with different preparation cost for each type of fight model. Dev's might already have plans to improve boarding fight mechanics. In its current state, boarding is really a dice roll game, its long and boring when player waits for the timer and has not much choice over the boarding tactics. This game is on the right track, Dev's are doing an awesome job so far!

Small Map Area as a commodity that can be purchased in port, everyone start with the knowledge of his own country port location and then, explorer can map an area and sell the map in port or to the admiralty. If you don't like to explore, you purchase the map. Hidden island, channels leading to hidden port, its not how it was made originally with these great explorers ? French, English and Spanish did not share their map so they can keep the resources for themselves or have an advantage by using shorter routes to deliver cargo at a cheaper price... New players shouldn't know the whole world at start-up and experience players should be able to discover new island, port, channel/route or upgrade (A port upgraded with costal fort that wasn't there on a previous visit). Endless possibilities. Obviously, some will still complain that this is a sea vessel fighting game (PVP) but combat is not the only aspect of the game. In game combat is pretty well develop atm. and tons of option are available to hardcore PVPer's.
  3. After the patch, Port stores are running dry of ressources and high inflation, these ressources that cannot be replenished by the players building. AI traders should be carrying more cargo for players to cap to fill the gap between supply and demand. LGV shouldn't be carrying only 51 units in its hold, make it at least 25% of the cargo hold capacity and increase its diversity, add some ship parts like furnishing, iron ingot etc... The current economy state is directly linked to the fact that players must craft their warship instead of capping them, this is adding a lot of pressure on the economy. A player is currently offering Iron Fitting for 100000 gold... Players are currently stock piling ship parts for crafters, there's no room for doing trading since there's no product left in port to trade at a profit.

A 5 minutes Eastern/Western heading might save players valuable time instead of sailing against the wind or waiting at port for the wind to turn again in the right direction. What is the actual setting for a 360 degrees wind cycle in OW, 1 hour ?
  5. Lighthouse should be present in OW, great navigational tool especially in foggy weather.
  6. I'l personnaly liked it. Great pictures too. Wear and Tear will add to the realism level. Also customized and personalized equipment on ship, silver or gold color guns...
  7. Currently the mid grade note are worth more than the High. We should be able to convert them in Capital City, like we do in real life with currency exchange. 2 Low Grade for 1 Medium Grade 4 Low Grade for 1 High Grade 2 Medium Grade for 1 High Grade 1 High Grade for 2 Medium or 4 Low Grade That should help to stabilized the price, the market buy cost for Med Grade is actually around 35-45 K each while High Grade only worth 25-35K.

It think it will be great to setup OW as "Time Zone", when you sailed out from port with a North Wind Direction and head for open sea, until you reach the 2nd time zone with a East wind direction, then heading further out at sea would take you to a third time zone that have a South Wind direction. Each time zone with its own wind mechanism system, this will speed up travel time in OW, not to have to fight with wind all the time...
  9. Yes running aground and mast/Sail damage would be great, what about taking water too... Just a little. I played most of the day for the past two days, stoms seems to occured always in the evening for me, after 18:00 EDT.   11. Hard to vote on only one... I'l vote for extended content on OW to fill these long, long, long travel times. Unfortunately, No mention of Exploration, Unique Modules Find, Bounty, Sea Life, Storm Mechanics, Wind Mechanics & Treasure Hunt in the voting category. I do understand that priority is on PvP since it's the core of the game but please, don't forget your PvE players. Politics and Pirate mechanics would do nothing for them. The last update was for both, PvP (Crew Management) and PvE (Buildings). What's your expected ETA for the battle map ? Looking forward for this !

I experienced abnormal high number of disconnect on PVE server today, also, when fighting in instance with Ping at 28/30 and FPS at +60 while steering the ship back to neutral, it continue to turn, then suddenly, the ship slide back to the normal position it should be when I steered back to neutral, really bizarre behavior. It does the same thing for the waves, the ship raise with the sea then get stuck at the top of the wave and then suddenly drop back down in the water, not really good for aiming at a target. The issue remains until I exit the instance. Since FPS, Ping, Computer speed is great here, the problem might be from the server which was only loaded at 180 players. Didn't F11 since I was in combat, didn't want to loose my Surprise while typing. This might be a known issue.
  13. OMG, PVE = Boring Gameplay ?? I disagree completely with your last sentence... Don't worry about what you qualify of "Boring Gameplay", what might be boring for you might not be boring for others. Assuming than most of them won't be around in 3 months must be proven, until then, its a completely free affirmation. Don't touch the PVE Server, if you don't like it, then stays on your PVP server. If I decide to move o PVP at some point, this will be my decision but for now, I'm completely satisfy and do enjoy my Non Boring Gameplay on the PVE server, sorry to break the bad news to you...   14. Too bad lightning hasn't be coded too. I'm assuming that there different level of storm, you should be more likely to encounter caterogy 3 storm by the cap horn. I'm currently stuck in one for about 1 hrs, I just don't know if I'm sailing away as fast as I can would get me out of it...
  15. I love storms ! I like to see more foggy weather without storm. Question for moderator or developers; Is storm coded as global or local ? (If Bad Weather is present at Charleston, would the same weather be present at Brunswick)
