  1. Everyone here is banging on the Pirates because they are overwhelming USA and Brits but i didn't see the same morale when the same 2 nations, which were quite large at the time, allied against Spain to reduce it to 1 port.
  2. I'm not surprised to see all the trolling around here. But i hqve to say that after a while playing this game, the Pirates have been one of the very few along the French to honour their word. Unlike the Brits who just tried to bully everyone around to their liking.
  3. This looks like an awesome starting point for the mechanics but it will still need a lot of tuning so either the players have fun and it's balanced about faction pops. +1 for the devs for coming with nice ideas like this. Can't wait to test it out.
  4. Since it's how the game rules work i don't see any more problem with that than would be putting port timers at whatever hour you want. You are free to defend or not your ports.
  5. While i think faster teleport would help friendly interactions... there should be something to keep people teleporting into port battles because it will take all the strategy from it. Maybe make it so you cannot tp to a port that has a flag thrown against? But yea definitely the cargo tp has to be stopped and the tp between outposts could be faster.
  6. The tiburon meme is not bad but i have to say the cutter one made me laugh.
  7. It's amazing how somebody can admit that they are using the timers on their advantage so they cannot get attacked, then be all bossy claiming victory against all odds. If you guys cared about the game you wouldn't be doing that but guess what? Nations as small as Sweden and Spain at least have the guts to put timers at their prime and try to defend them. Yeah even when outnumbered.
  8. What's troubling me is that the British nation ports are spread throught all the possible timers, being the 10-12 Timer the one that has the most ports and that exact timeframe being when there are least players overall on the whole british nation/server. This is a serious flaw of the game that is actively driving people from the game. What brits don't get is that people is not really complaining about port timers because they cannot win it's because they cannot even play the game the way it's right now. I've taken ports at those timers and there is literally nobody coming to defend them.
  9. European server, European friendly timers i guess??? Mostly because a lot of people is dropping the game because of this.
  13. This would be fixed with high rates being really expensive, like losing money even after winning a port battle with one of those (this way you would need several people to sustain a single first rate) and by giving other rate ships different utilities.
  14. As it stands right now with the game population and the mechanics of the ports it is really stressing for the players. Now onto the topic, well done Spain.
  15. Enhorabuena por todo a la faccion de los Españoles. Solo me queda quitarme el sombrero por lo bien que van las cosas. Un saludo a todos desde el bando pirata =)
  16. I'm just continuing the British tendency up till now.
  17. TLDR: We cannot defend that so we are gonna make it look as a present for the Americans, luckily they'll bite the bait and whenever we can we'll screw them as we've done with every single other nation we've got to terms.
  18. Felicidades a todos por lo conseguido y desearos mas exitos... en el momento de la escritura de este post habeis capturado Pinar del Rio y Robras. Buen trabajo a todos.
  19. The difference my brave friend is that the Americans have the strength to fight whereas the Spanish had not at their eyes, and well... if they weren't scared of a fair fight there wouldnt be so many ports at the timers they had them.
  20. First of all... When the Danes brought 2 nations on their knees the Spanish had around 120 Brit ships on their coasts because the Brits wanted to show their power... Second: Lord Vicious, it's what they do, they promise they are gonna do something then try to gain time to keep the ports, it's what they did to spain, the only difference is that they can't/don't dare to declare war on the Americans because... Obvious reasons.
  21. Going to a port battle in a cutter > finding the port blockaded > getting thrown into battle > surrender as soon as you can > Pop inside the port > get out in your ship and into the battle. There is no way to avoid that happening, as such it's a flawed mechanic because anyone can avoid a port blockade.
  22. You shouldn't be able to respawn in a port with a battle on course, right now it's as easy as to go there in a cutter and surrender when you get caught in battle. As it stands now there is absolutely no reason to blockade anything.
  23. Tonight, the Americans took a British port in the gulf of Mexico... The last time something like this happened there was a war in between Britain and Spain. ¿Are you telling me the Mighty Brits are bending their backs to the Greatest American Nation? So far it looks like the British empire is in a declive, be it losing ports or changing attitudes.
