    Thanks for the explanation. I did end up pasding a British patrol zone when I went back later to make a crossing from the port that I had left.

    I just started playing again two days ago. I have not leveled up and was sailing in my basic cutter. I was attacked by ten enemy players. I was able to run away for over two minutes and not be hit but the game never let me escape from the battle. I ran so far I got out of the battle circle and after another five minutes I sunk and was able to respawn. Why was I not able to escape the battle within the circle? And I thought as a new player I could not be “yanked” at such a low level.

    Twitch TV is a website that gamers can go broadcast(stream) themselves playing a game. it is a good way for people to check out games and ask questions about the game to a live person.

    this was happening long before sorry came around. and the devs said to the nations..why are you letting the pirates out play you....

    Not sure why people are throwing shade on the devs. they have done everything we have asked. so why does anyone think they will not fulfill their obligations with a patch a month. They put to a vote what the players wanted.

    I believe the community voted on what we wanted patched first. It is not really fair to blame the devs.

    well..they will see all the nations are the same with the politics...the black flag has it as well. Good Luck and have fun is really what anyone should be saying...

    Some players dont have hours to give to sail around..the ability to jump from port to port is a godsend to those casual players. if you dont like it then you can feel free to sail everywhere..

    Last night I saw way more US fighting in pirate waters than I saw pirates...says a ton about the pirates...

    they are testing the new Whaling ship..the Ishmael..and the new Single player mission..Thar She blow's..you have to hunt down and catch the white whale....

    I have mentioned many of the same issues and casual players that have 2 to 3 hours a night. Sail 30-40 minutes engage in 1 Combat instance (pve or pvp ect). have to sail 45 minutes back to port your ship..and log off...not to appealing to a casual gamer.

    This last week, When I log on to EUPVP1 around 8pm EST US. There is 350 players..used to be 450-600. Very quiet somenights.

    at the moment port battles are mostly clans and this will help the non clan players join in and its a great idea. lets get everyone involved

    this is not true at all and they are not public domain...The first writer/director or who ever had the copyright has it for the first 50 years..or until death then it reverts to the family and then can be extended. Very few films are in the public domain. and most are from failure to renew the copyrights..

    if you liked the Sea Hawk..Sabatini also wrote the book Captain Blood. which is another great movie.

    Request: Please change outposts docks accordingly and start re-positioning your forces Where am I to move ships to? I have 15-20 ships spread out. Do I move them to free ports? My main Home one is alrady 5/5..

    very interesting and will be interesting to see how a really strategic war will be played out. Say hostilities break out between the US and Spain. Say the US want to destroy the coal production out and blockade the spanish from this resource.so it stifles the ship building .can this still be achieved? 7 days seems like it cant or if the war is over the port reverts back to the original nation? Am i mis understanding this?
