  1. I don't see how the gameplay would be better if a slight movement of your troops behind another would then cause thousands of friendly kills, perhaps without even the players noticing. You'd easily end up in situations where the AI or the player kills more of his own troops than the enemy does. It's not a micro management game where you can easily avoid brigades either getting in to each other or in front or behind each other. There would be a million situations where players would get frustrated that friendly fire is happening. If I really try thinking about it, it would make the game near unplayable.. you can't have artillery anywhere in your rear without microing hold fire. Say they shoot in one direction when they leave and then the enemy shows up and the artillery turn and shoot right in to your own men. How would you prevent that? You'd have to monitor the exact position of everything on the battlefield at once. Usually I don't respond to people who's caps lock button seems to be stuck btw.. there's no need to "yell".
  2. Yes http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/90469687767473331/7FD7A1E0301B24E86F4DD5165E4215CC97C719AD/
  3. Updated the map to be playing historical CSA Chancellorsville instead. It's the first time I'll be trying that map so you might get to see my with my pants down, hah.
  4. Will do the confederates campaign version tomorrow at 16. I'll warm up with the side missions before it at 15.30
  5. It's a bit of both, to prevent your units and the AI's from becoming completely useless in the event of running out of supplies.
  6. I'll play the Union side tonight at 21.00 paris time. I'll provide a link 10 mins. before or you can subscribe to my channel here to get a notification once the stream is live: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqVM9uRxrMdB72ViZTrpOYw
  7. No, no, I'm a good general.
  8. The main feature, if you can call it that, is that cover is less effective. You can no longer just sit in woods and watch the AI break like a wave upon a shore. Thank you for joining the stream, I'm glad you enjoyed it
  9. The 260k must because they are using a trainer. Otherwise this is not achievable. You barely get this many men in rewards and reputation.
  10. This is how it's supposed to work.
  11. I am going to do 1 more attempt at livestreaming from the beta... this time I'm pretty sure I got it right. New coder and easier setup. I'll start in 1 hour, it's 7 PM Paris time. Link here that will be active at the time given. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-42XBV8xoo8
  12. If you run out your units will fire at 1/3 the rate of normal indefinitely.
  13. It's possible to combine 3 brigades if they are small enough.
  14. All of the hot keys for those you desire can be found by hovering over the command. Shift is a much better option for turning your units
  15. Yeah it was near impossible, can confirm that. While accurate it would have proven a not so fun experience for new players just starting the game and be steamrolled in their second major battle. Some things should make it harder next patch, like cover being less valuable, so you can't just hold off the attackers indefinitely. You'll get some of the "surprise factor" at stones river though.
  16. They've said on Steam that's it is coming.
  17. I've heard nothing of the sort :). But otherwise, in regards to going beyond history, the final battles will be for Richmond for the Union and for Washington for the Confederates so those are different from history. Otherwise I don't know if they'll invent new battles wholesale.
  18. Couldn't resist, sorry:
  19. I much agree. Don't forget to write a review
  20. It should take money out, if it doesn't, it's a bug. I'll look for it too.
  21. It takes money out to refill it to the amount you had it set to before minus the amount that was left in the wagon. So it costs money each time. Supplies are technically wasted if you fill up your brigades in the end and don't use it, emptying the wagon.
  22. Since the post the union deployment zone has been reduced.
  23. As CSA you only need to inflict more than 5 % of the casualties suffered so it isn't even necessary to counterattack. Causing 5% more casualties is pretty much default in that battle and as such, you just have to man the barricades with all of the reinforcements as well and watch the union die. I think that's really unfortunate, especially as the game tells you to attack the various places but it isn't even necessary. If you Henry Hill you still to inflict 5% more casualties so the 2nd victory condition is completely redundant.
