  1. You should put that in a review :). But yeah, I agree, I've mostly lost interest in total war. The campaign map might have kept me going but for Rome II, I don't really like the mechanics.
  2. There is still fire and reload in melee.
  3. Option 3 shouldn't exist. Report with f11 if you have battled that end with contester timers.
  4. This is not correct. Scaling is affected by the number of men in the brigades, not the number of brigades.
  5. You can click on the objectives in the right corner and the screen will center around them.
  6. What about it? Legendary is legendary, no?
  7. It has the normal equivalent of men but is placed in easy since it will turn out fairly easy as your army gets bigger and bigger and you can crush the small AI brigades with your large 2.500 brigades.
  8. This is accurate. There should be a cap on enemy size in the minor battles.
  9. Hmm, so the battleflow is not completely logical then. It should proceed to the next day if you capture just 1 point I think. Lots of things were changed in beta along the way so we're all confused I guess
  10. Col_kelly is so confusing :P. To trigger the horseshoe, don't capture any points on day 2 and stick to your line. You can capture one forward position if you feel like it. On day 3, you need to retreat from your forward locations to trigger it. Once they are lost (perhaps just one of them, not sure actually), the Horseshoe point will be shown on the map.
  11. You have to hold both now. It was changed a few versions before release.
  12. There is no timer for day 3, it goes on all day or until CSA captured all victory points.
  13. It is currently in closed beta, a process all patches go through before being released.
  14. Col_kelly and I will host an event tonight at 20.15 Paris time, livestreaming the CSA side of Chickamauga beta on my youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqVM9uRxrMdB72ViZTrpOYw It's a long battle, 3 days in total, and even though the battle can be won on day two, it's pretty hard and we'll try to extend the battle to see all 3 days.

    Mod support

I believe they are taking one step at a time. Unbeknownst to us, the devs probably have a priority of things they would like to implement but cannot due to lack of resources, at least for the time being. This might also be why they haven't given any definitive answers to any requests for additional features because they don't want to disappoint anyone. This makes sense to me anyway.
  16. There are no infantry brigades to the very far left at the edge of the map past the road.
  17. It's actually fairly easy no matter the enemy numbers if you go around the far left. There are only skirmishers there. Position one unit in the forest to the left to provide a screen and move most of your troops up behind the AI. Once you get behind the AI, it will panic and you can push them off the victory point. I'm assuming it's Grampton's Gap btw.
  18. The Union doesn't spam 3 star brigades at Antietam or any battle really. It's only the iron brigade "regiments" that are 3 stars. They do arrive first though.
  19. It is helpful to report these with f11 when you notice it.
  20. 3 for the CSA but you can have a dummy corps if you move troops around between days. At least if you want to attack on day two at Devil's Den.
