  1. Hey Guys. So today in global the topic of craftable repair kits was brought up. Admin asked for suggestions as to what the recipe's should be. My suggestions is as follows: First off we need to remove the repair kits that we normally use (I'm referring to the one we use all the time). Then we need to modify the repair kits that drop from battle, the following changes would have to be made: 1. Name change of the repair kits, instead of being named "ship repair kit type 3" etc. they should be renamed to "*Ship Name* Repair Kit" (Eg. "Mercury Brig Repair Kit"). 2. Weight needs to be added to the repair kits so that you can only carry a certain amount and because of the fact that a repair kit will take up cargo space. (I'm not sure what the weight should be yet. - It's something i need to spend more time thinking about.) Now off to the recipe's for building such repair kits. I suggest that we take a rather simple approach to this. Whenever we craft/buy a ship we actually craft 5 ships of the exact same type. A repair kit's repair value in percentage is 33,3. So i suggest that the amount of materials needed to build a repair kit equals the amount of materials needed to build the ship, divided by 5, times 0.333, rounded up. (This will also dictate the pricing of building the repair kits.) Following this logic the Repair kits for the Lynx and the Cerberus would look like this: Another suggestions is that the amount of materials needed to build a repair kit equals the amount of materials needed to build the ship, divided by 5. rounded up. At the same time each repair kit will create 3 repair kits instead of just 1. Following this logic the repair kits for the Lynx and the Cerberus would look like this: Cheers. Tommy Shelby.

  3. Hey Barcelo. Feel free ^^ - And thanks for pointing that out! - And thank you very much kind sir ^^ Hey Joshua. I/we do have a spreadsheet that can do some quite fancy stuff (Including what you are asking for.) but currently i'm/were keeping it as an internal tool for our members in TDA. We might release it to the public at some point, just like we did with our map.
  4. Your welcome! - Yes, i actually have all this information in another database. Putting this on the To-do list ^^
  5. Very nice Admin. Thank you! Also, just because someone will ask for it, you should add teak. Teak - Faster ship, no effect on hull. ^^
  6. When i write "planking" i'm referring to structure value (side structure etc.). Since those values have to do with displacement i figure the reason for the increase/decrease in "planking" is due to the ships displacement, which would be lower if build of fir than of live oak.
  7. Well we don't have the exact data which is why it's not listed. - Fir seems to be weak but light = Ship is easier to penetrate, has slightly less "planking" but is slightly faster than say a ship build of Oak. - Live Oak seems to be strong and heavy = Ship is harder to penetrate, has slightly more "planking" but is slightly slower than say, a ship build of Teak. - I have not yet sailed enough in Oak nor Teak ships to get a feeling for what it does.
  8. Update: - Noticed that i have written "Copper Fittings" instead of "Copper Ingots". - Will update the OP later today with more Ship's recipes + Correct the aforementioned mistake. Question: How do you guys like the current setup/format of the guide? I'd like to know so that i can change it if there is another setup/format that you all might find more visually pleasing and easier to use. Also, for those wanting a printable version, i would love for you to check out this sheet and give me some feedback!
  9. Thank you very much Baltic! I'll add these to the database some time later today ^^
  10. Update: In the process of making printable versions i'd like some feedback on this test version. - Simply click this link, this will take you to a sheet called "Ship Recipes". Now click "file-->Print" or "ctrl+p" to open up the printer settings.
  11. Feel free Bart, everything i post on these forums is for public usage! ^^ - Thanks man!
  12. Well, take a look at Grog Rations Quality Level 3 (Mastercraft). - For some weird reason this one uses coal in the recipe while neither Level 0, 1, 2 or 4 uses coal in the recipe. So right now Grog Rations Quality Level 3 (Mastercraft) goes like this: Coal - 3. Rum - 15. Danish Beer - 18. Barrels - 34. Crafting Notes - 3. While it should actually look like this (Atleast that's what i assume looking at my sheet.) Rum - 18. Danish Beer - 18. Barrels - 34. Crafting Notes - 3. Other than that i haven't noticed anything. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on all the ship recipe's though so that i can look through those Crafting here i come!
  13. Cheers Admin! Greatly Appreciated! I love working with spreadsheets and coming up with combinations of formulas/custom formulas. Well, i like to solve problems and understanding how things work in general and pretty much anything can catch my interest. - That said i also have some great mentors (Thank you very much Oliver and Obiquiet for all the help!) who i can always turn to if i have a problem.
  14. Data dump? - If it's a copy of the spreadsheet you are asking for then i can setup a spreadsheet for public viewing?
  15. Thank you very much guys! - Updated the OP. New stuff: Shipyard. - This is where the ship recipes are found. They will be added over time. - So far the list contains only Lynx and Traders Lynx.
  16. Did not think of that but i can definitely get it done. ETA, 2-5 days.
  17. Hey Guys! This guide list's all the crafting recipe's ingame. (No longer excluding ships, if a mod could change the Threads title to "Crafting Recipe's" i'd appreciate it very much!). Sorry for the delay, i was eager to grind in NA and so i never got around to correct the mistakes i had made nor update the sheet with new recipe's. That said i have finally corrected all the mistakes mentioned here in this thread. There might still be some errors in some of the recipe's and a few of the recipe's are missing XP gained and Labour Hours needed. If you guys spot anything out of order or you have any of the missing information please post it here in this thread. BIG NEWS, well, not really but i needed your attention. I have changed the format and the setup of the "Shipyard". This new setup is much easier to update and is also printable! The way the new setup works is that the sheet is now linked to the "Shipyard" title in the OP. You simply click the title ("Shipyard") and this will take you to a published version of the sheet. This published version is simply a "website" version of my sheet. When you are in the "website" version you simply right click and choose "print" to print the sheet. (It worked for me but please do tell if this isn't working properly). Now i'd like to say thank you, you guys have all been very helpful already but i'd like to ask for another favor. - Please check out the new setup and format of the "Shipyard", those of you who asked for printable version please try to print it and see what you think. - When you have done that i'd appreciate it so very much if you could give me some feedback on it. It doesn't have to be the big things, things such as the Colours i use or the way things are spelled/written matters just as much. I want this to be easy to use for everyone, not just those of us who likes looking at spreadsheets. Cheers. Tommy Shelby. NB, also updated the "To-do-list", "Latest update" and "Question". To-Do-List. 1. Get feedback on the new format/setup of the shipyard. 2. Depending on feedback i'll have to update the rest of the guide to the same format/setup. Latest update: Shipyard Updated: - All recipe's up to Trincomalee have been added. - All recipe's should now have the correct information. - Changed the format slightly. - XP Gained added. - XP/ Labour hour ratio added. Question: How do you guys like the new setup/format of the "Shipyard"? If the feedback is positive i will change the rest of this guide into the same setup/format. 19. In all seriousness, you make a good point about the formality used in general. I did not think about that. Maybe my suggestion should be that we use more formal names in general. It fits the game better imo. ^^ - But we still can't have "Denmark-Norge". It has to be either "Danmark-Norge" or "Denmark-Norway".
  20. We do indeed, i'm one of them ^^ Wind said in his thread about maps that the ingame name is "Denmark-Norge" and not "Danmark-Norge". Well i read this book during my last study in which i read something about this. And i found an internet version of the book just now so that i could quote the book ^^ - Europa, Identitet og Identitets Politik. - In English: "It is not due to bad manners nor forgetfullness that i leave Norway out of the enumeration, but Norway was, for more than 400 years, a loyal and subordinate part of the Danish Monarchy, the Oldenburg Monarchy, The Danish Crown or whatever one might have called this composite statehood through the ages. Only overly politically correct historian calls the state "Denmark-Norway", "Double-Monarchy" or "The Twin Realm/Kingdom". (See the first work on the common danish-norwegian history by Esben Albrechsten, Øystein Rian, Ståle Dyrvik and Ole Feldbæk 1997-98). These last names are, however, modern inventions. The state consisted of a Danish and a Norwegian kingdom, but did also include the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein. Because of this she was often called for "Kron zu Dennemarck, significantly enough with a plat- or low german name. The Danish crown was one of two dominant states in the North between 1500 and 1800, while the second was the east-west facing statehood formed around Stockholm and Åbo, Sweden. Today this statehood is politically correct called for "Sweden-Finland", but there was no double state, and one can calmy, along with the finnish historian Matti Klinge and Max Engman, call the kingdom for "Sweden" or the swedish crown because that's what they did at the time. There were certainly many Finnish-speaking subjects, but not speaking in a state legal way about Finland as a designated state or kingdom. Finland was a provins in Sweden, similar to Värmland, Dalarne or Norrland. There were also many finnish people that understood swedish, and vice versa."" Edit: I did my best to translate this into english. ^^
  21. Hello. In Naval Action we have a nation called "Denmark-Norge". This makes no sense to me. Denmark is spelled in english while Norge is spelled in Norwegian/Danish. So i suggest that this at the very least be changed to one of the following: - Denmark-Norway (Spelled in English). - Danmark-Norge (Spelled in Norwegian/Danish). Now to be fair, the name we use is the modern term. And so i furthermore suggest that we instead of using the modern term, use one of the old terms: - "The Twin Realms" (English)/"Tvillingrigerne" (Danish). - "The Danish Crown" (English)/"Den Danske Krone" (Danish). Cheers.
  22. Well, depending on how crafting/trading is going to work after the patch i guess you could just make a Neutral Alt.
  23. Not a bad idea. Reload + dispersion could also be affected by the crew's veterancy, to some extend, while not buffing over 100%.
