Is this ship real? History: The HMS Dauntless was one of the strongest ships in the British Royal Navy serving under King George II, most notably under the command of Commodore James Norrington. As one of the Empire's premiere warships and renowned pride of the Royal Navy, this ship was agile, fast, and carried 100 guns. There is a pirate drama series called "Black Sails" that is a pretty entertaining watch. My question though, as far as the ships in the show, are they purely fictional? If not, can we find the plans to those ships, or ships that draw similarities, their actual names, etc.) would be nice to see some of them in game. nostalgia.

HMS Sophie (real-life HMS Speedy) Jack Aubrey's first command, described in Master and Commander is the brig-rigged "sloop" HMS Sophie, operating out of Port Mahon in the western Mediterranean. Towards the end of the novel, the first book in the series, Sophie is captured on the Spanish coast by a French squadron led by Admiral Linois. Although the activities of the Sophie and her dimensions and armament were modeled closely on those of real-life HMS Speedy, commanded by Thomas, Lord Cochrane, the quarterdeck - unusual for a small sloop - was taken from HMS Vincejo, captured from the Spanish navy in 1799. Indeed, In the novel the Sophie is pointed out by one naval officer as being the former "Vencejo" - an alternative spelling - although in fact the Vincejo kept its original name while serving in the Royal Navy until captured by the French at Quiberon Bay in 1804. The Speedy, like the fictional Sophie, was captured in 1801 by Linois. http://www.ctbasses.com/misc/BruceTrinque/index.html#Sophie. Probably for many of us, some of the best books about ships are Rafael Sabatini's Captain Blood's adventures. It would be nice to have in this game his Cinco Llagas/Arabella galleon. I always imagined it somewhat as Frigate Friedrich Wilhelm zu Pferde, but with only 40 canons.

The ship in my mind is the ship i want the most for two reasons she started as a merchant ship "Wicked Wench" and was converted to "Black Pearl" and the other reason is that, i want it becuase of POTC but the ship is heavliy armed with 32 cannons and she can defend herself but i would like it to be a little expensive so younger players will not just join the game to play Jack sparrow and raid stuff just for fun. But its cool if she can be converted from a merchant to pirate and thats a feature that i want. This is maybe a childish topic but the ship is awesome and could be in my mind a great merchant ship for british nations.

Having the HMS Surprise, I find it excellent if we had an Acheron.
