Supply Ship Lost unballanced

Hey, I played as germany and maybe I missed something, but I had more ships than Britain all in "Sea Control" after I sanked a few (arround 30). BUT I lost in 3 rounds arround 40 Convoy ships, the Tommy lost nothing. It wrecked my ecenomy and I lost the campaign even when I nearly won every battle or got it to a draw. I ahd the better Ships, the higher technology but lost 9, 10 and 21 convoy ships. I have no Idea, literally, no Idea how to win the campaign. I did one Time due to a peacedeal, but havn't unlocked the later campaign due to a bug I guess... I am enerved... I really would like to enjoy the campaign, I really would, but I can't under those circumstances.

Admiral, probably you are under blockade and have much fewer ships than the enemy?

Same is happening to me, UK has half the size of fleet as me in terms of tonnage and ships but I am losing lots of transports. Must be subs. This is a bare bones campaign though so maybe we will be able to assign escorts to all convoys in future.

The last UK campaign I won by just building 1 ship, a battleship that won 2 battles and the Germans sacked their admiral and sued for peace.

I'm in the same situation as OP right now. I also got then down to 1BB earlier and I had 8BB (just retired 3 to make way for new ships/balance budget,) all on sea control.

I just lost 12 transports last month and enemy lost 1. Something is wrong.

Nope, I was not under Blockade. I had 10 BB's, enough to keep my Power Projection up. I had 41 Ships, the Brittish just 39.

Where were your ships deployed? How much range, speed? If I were to guess you put them all in Emden or Wilhelmshaven and built for minimum range, leaving the Royal Navy free to plunder the Kiel/Danish straits region with any long range ships.

Going off my own experience in the campaign so far, it made a world of difference in transport losses as soon as I stationed some TBs up in Heligoland and Kiel, along with a couple cruisers at Kiel.

So far Ive managed to beat the 1890s German campaign at least with low-medium range BBs, and a few basically coastal defence minimum range CAs around followed by some long range CLs.

No idea why this is happening. Clearly I have control of the oceans with my BB/CA lead. Winning all large engagements. My CLs are all max range so range shouldn't be an issue... Anyone? Was pouring funds into TP in finances too.

-edit-

Actually I think I may have figured it out, all my ships were far away from ports nearby the UK with low range. Preliminary testing shows this to be fixed. Will report back if not.

-edit2-

Pretty sure that it gets worse over time as your ships playing Germany take damage and then move to the ports on the far right of map when reparing so overtime they get overloaded and away from action.

Yes I am pretty sure that is it. The ships moving between docks needs to be made more transparent. As it stands, ships always run off to Danzig and Pillau without informing us, when they left from Emden or Wilhelmshaven. And this doesn't seem to just be for repairs. Some just return to random other ports. I saw @Nick Thomadis was saying elsewhere that they wanted the ability for ships to go to other ports so as to prevent undesirable situations where a ship was going to return to it's "homeport" but something occurred that maxed out the tonnage limit there while the ship in question was away - i.e. a new vessel was launched at that port. The solution to this is logical "if statements."

Ship A will naturally want to return to the port it left from, unless for whatever reason it's return would make the port exceed it's tonnage parameters, say if a SHIP B appeared there. If that is the case, then Ship A selects the next closest port to return to given it's geographic position. If that also is too full of vessels, it goes to the next closest after that, and so on and so forth.
