So no capture possible then or change crew requirements and sail both ships heavy undercrewed with possibility to switch from one to another. PG Monkey
Why not have it so you cant leave port with a warship in your fleet? Then the only time you could have a warship in your fleet is when you capture a players ship. You could keep it there until you reach your outpost

If your solo hunting than pick the guy that doesn't have AI in his fleet or go for the challenge. Do we want to promote PvP, or do we want to uphold these PvP deterrents? 5 hours ago, Sir Texas Sir said: He pretty much gave himself a crutch that you can use against him. You're right, but is it good PvP design? Warships in a player's fleet is a fantastic "experience" and role-playing idea, it's appeal is strong and obvious. It's detrimental effect on OW PvP is equally strong and obvious.
Rebel Witch
I think they solved the problem with the fleet perks, its a perfect way of giving players options. those who want to have fleets of combat ships, they lose other perks. those who want a solo ship get other great perks. i know many players want to force others to play how they want, so that everyone is sailing around with one combat boat. but i think the devs realize that giving players more options makes more players happy.
