Pirate Tagging Abuse? Friendly Fire

Recommended Posts

To whomever it may concern,

today a small Dutch fleet attacked some pirates raiding near our capital Willemstad.

1. While escaping, the pirates tagged each other and started a battle in which the Dutch fleet could only join one side - effectively rendering one pirate immune.

2. During the battle, the pirate on the "Dutch side" attempted actively to block the pursuit of the remaining fleet and actively shot Dutch ships with chain shot to slow them down. He continued to do so even after being warned in battle chat.

Accused Player: Zlywujek

Accused Clan: [bW]

More battle log screenshots available on demand, F11 Report filed during battle.

Konali89 was presend and witness to the fight and encouraged me to open this case in tribunal. All other players on the Dutch side can attest to what happened and the F11 report filed by me should provide further proof.

Since we consider both the tagging of fellow pirate players to avoid battle and the shooting of "friendly" sails in battle to be unsportsmanlike conduct at the very least, we demand action against the accused player and hereby bring forth this case to the tribunal.

Thank you very much,

all i can add to this is: At a certain point i saw a teammate ( Tarz) loosing sail percentage. The cannonfire came from the back, from this pirate on the dutch side. Offcourse it could be a mistake, but not soon after Hugo was being shot at with chain. And before claims are being made that this was an accident, let me try to establish the situation.

Hugo in the lead with closely behind him tarz. The enemy atleast 1000 yards further ( couldnt see names above ships). And then hugo gets hit with chain.  Chain has a limited range and therefore highly unlikely the ammo type of choice for that moment, so most likely an intentional move to try damage friendlies.

Either way, it is unsportsmanlike and im not saying we should demand hard measures, but let's face it, everyone hates teamkillers or damagers in any game:)

Please, if you dont have any additional information or if you are the accused or one of the people accusing, please refrain from posting here as per the reforms which can be read here: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/12611-tribunal-reform/

Also we are aware that this is green on green damage but he is partially circumventing it by only going for sails.

I would like to point again at this issue for which STILL no penalty has been issued. Not only that, but [bW] clan (see post above) proudly stands by its practice of abusing any game mechanic in the book to ruin the gameplay experience of any normal captain playing the game the non-exploiting way.

[bW] clan has been abusing the Willemstad Green Zone and logging out mechanics for weeks now, ganking single ships leaving Willemstad harbour that cannot defend against this abuse. Proof of that has been submitted to Steelsandwich and can be brought forward here. It is the same people, all the time.

I can only repeat myself - will anyone actually take action?

You should watch other tribunals as well as the discussions which rose up from this issue.

The pirate tagging was a grey area. No rule handled the fact that they can help each other the way they do.

until 10th May 2016!

The devs announced a new addition to the rules:

http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2346-forum-and-sea-trials-rules/

(scroll down to post #8, by some reason I cannot copy post-links)

In conclution you were 100% save in shooting the one on your own team since this behavior is no longer unattended by the rules.

My tip for all:

Make sure to have proof at hand when you open fire at a green abusive pirate.

Better save than sorry ;)
