  1. Adding to your suggestion, because I believe it's going in the right direction.

those missions we had back then where you could buy trade goods - bring it to the port and "redeem" the mission for cash were really nice.

imagine a mission that asks you to bring 80 sevilla muskets to baracoa and the reward 1,500,000 reals and 10,000 doubloons.

This mission would do a number of things.

    1. gets the player or a group to be in trade ships and go off on a trade "route" generated randomly by a mission at the port that produces the trade good (sevilla muskets)

    2. Players have to "buy" the trade good which stimulates tax revenue/economy for all ports (every port would have a mission)

    3. creates incentives other than PvP, but PvP could happen while you're on your trip.

The risk is the cargo you purchased - the point of these missions would be "higher risk, greater rewards." They should be vastly "better" than cargo/passenger missions and the reward is a large lump sum to make the trip all worth it.

A player should be able to do it solo, but adding other players into a group (like 1-4 players) they could split the reward and all be safer together.

    Thanks for write up

The importance of the port is determined by the amount invested in it. The current test NPCs attack all ports. Once the safety will be removed - they will only attack very rich ports of top 3 nations. Those nations will be able to field large fleets to try to defend the port.

I would like to add one thing.

If what @Ferrus Pugnum says to be true about the NPC fleets - they had higher BR than what the port normally allows?

Also - if the battle becomes over once the AI fleet gets to the "first" circle. That seems like it will end too quickly...

  3. The "you guys are so bad" is funny when the dutch won in the end. If they were so bad why did they win?

All those IF this and IF that, makes those IFs real if you want to win next time. It almost reminds me of when BF was losing Baracoa and then a "pirate" gave up their ship to reverse almost like it was planned 🤔.

So are we going to talk about the fact that everyone is getting a raid tomorrow for "testing" purposes ?

The same raids that are supposed to happen on weekends ? Only on the 3 biggest nations ?

FFS Polish-Lithuanians are getting raided... they own 4 ports...
Prussians raid is on a thursday at 4:30...

    🤦‍♂️

Are you out of your minds ? Have you thought for a second about what you were doing ?

    the NPC port battles?

they are not supposed to "take" the port at this time.

EDIT: if you mean Raids mechanic then any port that has a mission to be raided can be raided.

there are no Negatives to the port owner at this time.

if you don't want to attack the raiders, then don't, if you want to, then wait for them to leave the mission and jump them - capture the trade ship with the cargo and enjoy the reward.

  5. 1. Add economic bonuses when nation holds entire county - Clan owning County Port gets to decide which rare resource spawns (Denmark holds San Juan port and entire county, and decides to have Cartaghena caulking spawn. so both swedish carpenters and carta caulking would spawn).

    2. Choose One --
    A. Drop ports bonuses altogether
    B. Allow the ability for a nation to further invest ports to make all county ports have the ability to be 55 points
    C. addition to B - allow ALL ports ability to be 55 points.

    3. Lower BR on port battles (I believe admin has already stated this will happen)

    4. RvR must go through regional towns first before the County Capital.

Do these 4 things and the enjoyment for everyone will go up. Players will continue to RvR and also have incentive to hold the entire county. There will be more ports that allow for rare resources to spawn allowing for better variation of market pricing. Lowering BR on ports will further allow ALL nations with ANY population to fight in a myriad of different areas/ports without feeling useless.

Either dropping port bonuses or allowing ports to be invested into 55 point ports will also Allow any Nation to either all be "equal" or have the best options available.

A system like this i had also in my mind but didnt remembered the raw numbers...thank you for sharing this info :)

So to summarize for a complete understanding

    - Your LH generation per hour/day does NOT get affetced by either your rank nor your crafting rank...

    - The only thing which is changed by your rank, is your WALLET aka the number of LHs you can allocate...

    Is this true ???

    1. correct - labor hour generation is not affect by anything - it is a constant regeneration rate. (iirc, currently it is 100 labor hours an hour)

    2. correct, increasing your crafting rank increase the labor hour wallet maximum, nothing else. example Crafting rank 1 has 1,000 LH wallet, whereas crafting rank 4 has 2,134 LH wallet maximum.

The dutch support ceased after what we discovered certain day, HAVOC in comms with REDS in the same TS channel, some joint operation. We knew all along you can't be trusted.

    interesting 🤔

he lost the Swedish support for a different reason.

But I guess it's both of our faults for not helping him fight and get into the port anymore right?

    I'm sorry what?

Soo I choose a nation and risk of losing pretty much everything in game( I still remember the time when Swe only had Gustavia). And then I can't change nation unless I pay real money.

And you don't see an actual problem with your lacking gamedesign? But decide to call it a hello kittying feature?

    Cool

You can actually change nation without paying any money. Just delete your character and remake a new one.

A better idea would be to delete port bonuses so the loss of "all ports" isn't preceieved by the players as utter devastation.

  9. map/account resets due to wins or losses would make me lose interest in playing, that's a clear cut promise.

map resets to "combat" Russia's expansion into taking over the entire map is just a boring temporary fix as they'll just do it again.

If there is any such thing as a round, or 3-6 month map reset and the current port investment difficulty stays as is? yeah I be out guys.
