  1. You should have told us a few months ago, I'm sure that all those people who already joined would have waited. And besides who needs all those guys on the web site, every single day, day in and day out, clogging up our forums with over 35k views, hundreds of threads and thousands of posts. And the TeamSpeak server always jammed. I mean really, that's just crazy... Right? Alll kidding aside, the Decatur Armada has grown into a very strong group of players who are online daily and you can almost always find a couple of us on at any time. You know the worst thing about starting a group this early? Yea, me neither.
  2. Naval Action - Play here, get wood!
  3. Now that was funny! (Duel camper)
  4. Interesting idea, although we currently don't have an associate member catagory. We have a great group of members and a lot of fun and cutting up, but we are a team and focused on teamwork. Those who want to do their "own thing" as a privateer may want to look to some of the other fleets like "The Arms of Chaos" or "Messengers of Death". Their contact info is here: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/1734-list-of-posted-naval-action-groupsnavies-updated-jan-27-2015/ Having said that, if you change your mind and want to join a fleet focused on Teamwork and camaraderie fill out an app on our site. One final thought, we may "outsource" some special "plausible deniability" missions / tasks that might require a privateer rather than our direct approach. Best of luck!
  5. Consider yourself SIGNED! Welcome aboard, please see OTMatt to pick your 1 issued cat, and one of those guys rolling around on the floor for your rum ration... if there is any left
  6. Thank you Sir for your kind words! There may be times when our goals and intentions align... Like when we are fighting against the Limy navy
  7. Join the most active fleet in Naval Action while membership to TDA is still open to all. Looking for mature gamers who value and can participate in teamwork, tactics and strategy and can also have fun while doing it. - Members at the top of the leaderboards - TeamSpeak Servers - Very Active Forum and website. - Sailing, fighting, and situational training and guidance provided amicably. Note: Players with massive egos and/or a negative attitude need not apply. I'm sure there are groups that will cater to you, we just don't happen to be one of them.
  8. I dunno Flip, we seem to have won plenty of hearts by just be a mature (eh..) NA Fleet who like strategy and teamwork. However, the backorder of cats has finally cleared so once again 1 free cat and some slightly questionable rum to all new members
  9. I've used my name since my first multiplayer gaming experiance, first on Compuserve, then Prodogy, AOL, and the the Internet. Mid '90's
  10. Looking for an active fleet with members across the globe and time zones? We almost always have someone on TeamSpeak and in game. Socialize with a mature group. We have a full site with active forums and active members. Stop by and check us out!
  11. Could put player name on a pennant so you have to get close enough to eyeball it. In any case, I think you raised a viable topic and got lots of good feedback. Thank you Sir
  12. Everyone take a deep breath and step away from the swords. Discussion not bickering. That is what the forums have been and what I think we would all like to see them remain, no? Opinions and POV's have been aired, to a disturbing degree in some cases but here is my point. Raise your issue, discuss but understand that everyone has their own POV and few will change it when they feel they have been attacked in some manner. The bottom line is that while we get to discuss it here, the Dev's will decide and we will live with it or leave, and I don't think many would choose to give up the game over it, so don't work yourselves up over this. Now travel times and size of world... there is a topic to get passionate over IMO
  13. I think a game set in the 18th /19th century without religion of any sort would be a major oversight. I agree that it should not be a game changing factor, but I can see finding lost artifacts, natives and their gods and religions, traditions such as the blessing of the fleet (fishing industry), perhaps the effect that a religious figure such as a minister or priest aboard might have on the crew. And, more importantly, it was a major influencer of nations, as well as individuals. I think it has a place in the game albeit not a major one.
  14. Well, you could suck and not be the instant target. However, it too brings its own set of problems like... Oh, I dunno... You suck? I should know, I'm living the dream of the not instantly targeted. Would be great if the was a 3rd room. PvP lite, PvP, and PvP no tags... For the hearty sailors
  15. Oh sure, rationing again... The Kings agents are everywhere!
