  1. So started 1900 campaign, can't refit pre dreads after discovering dreadnaughts, is this by design?
  2. I see an upload was made 7 hours ago, maybe its the updated beta that fixed the refit bug?
  3. Based on Nicks ask we should not edit the files at least for the Beta, it doesn't help them if it causes bugs to crop up
  4. So something I noticed is get Austria to send its ships to Scilily that spot between North Afirca and Scicily, it locks down the Italian and French forces from getting to the eastern med all together.
  5. Florida, Wyoming, and New York class battleships got new super structures and oil fired boilers, as well as the hulls widened by the attachment of new torpedo blisters
  6. Could we one day get guns that allow us to select caliber, so say we wanted to build light we could do 40 caliber or 35 caliber for reduced ranged or up to say 60 caliber for longer range but an increase in weight

The irony is it was never supposed to have the Mark7 gun, the orginal plan was to use the 16/50 Mark2's built for the South Dakota and Lexington Class ships, but CnR and Bourd messed up and the turrents wern't built strong enough or large enough to fit triple 16/50 Mk2's so they had to design the Mk7 quickly, turned into a rather smart and great gun.

  9. Going on 10 years now, no battles, even have ships parked right next to a german CL that's been there for 8 years with 3 groups of TB/CL's surrounding it set to protect, nothing
  10. nope not anymore, its now working like copy did under 1.04 its stuck at the technology you knew when built as for the taking forever it was for me also until i did the clean install now its very fast to start

  12. Not sure I just did a clean reinstall of all of it and it updated to 1.05
  13. Here is what I've noticed, parts you knew when the ship was built you can do, i can say take that 1890 BB and change its armor to compound, but I can't however research something after it was built and upgrade to it, that seems to be the issue
  14. Just to further verify here is a new BB design, where I can choose guncotton. Like I said it was working normally before your patch this afternoon that steam pushed out, if that helps yall track it down. also incase it helps here is my computer specs Ryzen 5 3600X 16GB DDR4 3600 Geforce RTX 3060 Ti 512GB SSD (where game is installed) Windows 11 Pro fully updated

Ok no game editing after a clean install deleted all files in appdata and under steam as well, did a full reinstall. 1890 Brittian no changes or edits, default put me 6 months from guncutton so I made that a priority, after learning gun cotton it can not be refit to any ship, just to ensure it wasn't an edit i did

I noticed the issue on a game inprogress, truthfully i played about 12 hours after the beta came out and noticed it broke I wanted to test it by simply changing the save_01 file for Key "aim_rangefinger" and changing the value from 0.95 to 1000.95 no other change. I'm trying a clean install and I have removed all data under appdata\localow\Game Labs aswell I will tell you I got the game about a week before Beta 1.03 came out and so far have 687.2 hours logged according to steam, I really do enjoy your game
  17. So I edited the Key in save01.json file to test to speed up research speed also it didn't replace my campaign.json file either. I did try multiple new games to much the same result, it was working before it updated 12:51PM CST, I havn't tried a clean reinstall yet, if no one else is seeing a similar problem I'll try that
  18. Range Finders, Radar, Radio, Sonar, More modern guns, torpedos, torpedo protection, hull protection, larger torpedo mounts, powder or filler. So far the only thing that is working for me is towers. I tested by setting Key to 1000 behind relevant techs, they unlock and i can build new ships with them but I can't refit existing ships with them
  19. To add the 16/50 refit in the 80's upgraded the radar but they used the same fire control equipment from WW2, and in WW2 it was also radar controlled. If you look closely at the 80's refit they didn't see any reason to replace the mechanical fire control system as it was already so accurate it was pointless to replace it.
  20. I've tested it with all 5 nations, refit is broken
  21. Was working previously until patch, now you can't refit to improve range finders or add radar to older designs, matter of fact I can't refit any newer tech suddenly outside of towers, i can update towers
  22. Don't forget the refit done to Florida, Wyoming and New York class Battleships where they literally ripped the top off the ship removed super structure, funnels, armored deck, other decks and removed the coal fired boilers then put in new oil fired boilers, rebuilt the decks, and added an entirely new super structure ontop.
  23. Anyone else getting odd camera movement, my camera is what I'd call glitchy suddenly with the patch, it doesn't stay locked on a ship but floats then jolts back to said ship its really quite jarring
  24. No you can change the armor belt or improve it, the Japanese did it to upgrade their old battlecrusiers to fast battleships, they got uparmored big time
