  1. Ability to pre-select ships which are drawn to auto generated battles from ports based on their range and speed. I always tend to end up in battles with the mix of ships I don't want (old, slow cruisers or unescorted BB). TFs to actually generate more missions than they do now. I can have TF sitting in the midst of enemy traffic and nothing happens which is frustrating. More info on Invade, Protect and sea control roles for TFs. Weather (storm, snow, rain, wind) and night battles. Captains and admirals woul'd give AI some personality. Cautious leaders will tend to withdraw or disengage early ,while agressive admirals will close in and fight to the end. Convoy lanes which can be raided and protected. Convoy lanes connect every mayor country with their overseas colonies, allies and minor allies. Differentiation between night and day crew experience. Night battles were trained separately. Convoy missions not ending when escorts are sunk. Ship limit to the TFs and not crew limit. E.g. let TB and DD be worth 1 point, Cl 2 pounts, CA 4 points and BB 8 points. And let TF limit be 30 points

  3. It is extremely difficult to initiate combat with task forces. You can send them in proximity of enemy TF, well within detection range and... They just sit there for months... doing nothing! What is the purpose of TFs then?
  4. Maybe your crew forgot to close all of the hatches and bulkhead doors
  5. AI learned how to win. It's not so easy anymore. There are more draws and sometimes I just have to pop up the smokescreen and try to withdraw. Great improvements so far!
  6. And what is the population of Italy? I guess if population of Turkmenistan is 7mil with oil production per capita at 53k, when you add italian population which share this resource the oil production per capita will drop significantly since oroduction is the same but population increased drastically.
  7. While I don't think game is ready for release, some of you are overreacting big time. Yes, it needs polishing, yes it's not perfect but it is playable and enjoyable in the latest version.
  8. I don't have cutting edge PC, it's rather old but I get decent FPS in battles. ~20-30fps in big battles
  9. Captains and admirals were planned and announced but nothing was heard of them since then.
  10. Since removal of manual rudder even changing course of formations is hard to do. UI just seems so bad at responding to input. Also, evading torpedoes is now much harder to do. Bring the manual rudder back, please!!! And major powers are still dissolving too easy!
  11. Why is AI having so much trouble in replacing natural draft boilers with induced ones although technology is available? It upgrades engine and all the other components but not boilers.
  12. Ambush! Single 8500t CA is ambushed by 7 AI TBs totalling 5400t. AI runs away without even making contact. It was a bad weather and 7 TBs woul'd have no trouble in torpedoing lonely CA. I hardly doubt this CA coul'd take 2 TBs before being overwhelmed. @Nick Thomadis ,please do something about this in next fixes. Ambush missions have potential to be a great fun, but not if AI just runs away. Either dissable tonnage check for missions ,make ship numbers count too or just prevent AI from withdrawing before making contact. Straggler and convoy attack/defense are affected in the same way. Nevertheless, great job with this update. Game is just awesome!
  13. There are too many things you csn do in refit. Are there any plans to limit this?
  14. Ambush missions are not working. AI ambushes me with torpedo boats, but then does tonnage check and run away. Couldn't you just force AI to fight agressively if ut got an ambush mission and can attack a CL or CA with 4 torpedo boats???
  15. Trade of montballed ships is not working at all. Minor allies are asking me to build new ships for them, while I've got 6 of that same type monthballed.
  16. Even lightly damaged ships from the TFs after the battle return to nearest port. This is OK for heavily damaged cripples but not for lightly damaged ships
  17. Well, refiting is limited with previous component placing. You can not just move parts left and right during the refit. It is a modernisation, not building brand new ships where you can rearrange turrets and towers in completely different way.
  18. @Nick Thomadis Sorry for asking this ,I know it probably isn't high priority... 2 questions: 1. When are weather conditions depicted in battle going to correspond to the weather conditions in weather info icon? Up to this day, weather conditions depicted in battle are random and do not have any relations to the info in weather icon. E.g. weather icon says it is morning, raining, cloudy, rough waves and strong winds and in battle we have graphic representstion of calm sea, clear sky and no wind. 2. Are rain and snow or storms planned to be represented? 3. Is night going to be representent. Night battles woul'd be extremely fun. Ok, these are 3 questions, sorry. Thanks in advance!!
  19. They got target acquired. Don't know how, but they did. They lost this when shifting fire or maneuvering, but they managed to get it again after a salvo or two. These were also not most modern or up to date ships.
  20. Charging with what? AI charged with BBs and CAs into my battleline (2BBs and 4CAs with seasoned or veteran crews) and got beaten up by all the guns when it closed within 2000m. The year was 1901, got 23%-50% hit rate for my main guns at this distance which I consider OK. Also, my ships were not moving at maximum speed. AI TBs were loitering in distance with low fuel ( this is annoying, either give AI 50-80% fuel at start of the battle as a cheat or program it to us TFs according to range of ship with shortest range).
  21. I can hit things quite well. I do not sail in the straight line. I make course changes every now and then. I don't hit 3X time and sail around. I give orders all the time. Yes, it's the hell for those who hate micromanaging things, but I like it. I even like seing my torpedoes fail. I like seing my 1896 generation ship having trouble hitting target cause that is what it was like in real world. This game gives you plenty of choices. Don't expect to win every battle. Don't expect sniper arena. Even in 1940's it wasn't like that. Learn to withdraw sometimes and not make impossible things. Do not expect total annihilation of enemy fleet every single time!
  22. After 15 years ingame and 5 wars fought I don't see any problem with torpedoes. None of my ships were sunk by torpedoes, only gunfire, so I can hardly see any problem with that. And yes, I tend to save the weight sometimes by reducing bulkheads, but I also start to maneuver whenever something with torpedoes gets within the launch range. Try not playing with time compression and just watching big guns blasting. You can not controll things well at 5X speed.
