  1. I don' t like this. Spain and UK can not have the same tech levels. Instead AI shoul'd have priorities for every country: research, training, transports. When AI can max one slider than it can move to increasing other, being carefull not to enter deficit in the process.
  2. All AI nations ,except Britain, fall behind player in tech levels in a few years time. At least german and US AI shoul'd be able to keep techs levels advanced or very advanced.
  3. OK, DLC maybe? 😇 @Nick Thomadis and what about subs? Did you buffed them to make them usefull again?
  4. Any hope to unlock monitor and ironclad hull as starting hulls for 1890 campaign?
  5. Turreted small guns in 1890s are really annoying. Only shielded versions shoul'd exist in this era!
  6. @Nick Thomadis Have you tweaked the submarines in order to make them usefull again? I propose subs being able to move through enemy TFs zones of control (and vice versa). It is funny (actually frustrating) to se subs being able to block passage of big TFs but not being able to attack them due to ZOC mechanics. Similarly is with TFs being able to block subs.
  7. For the mental health sake please fix AI running away as soon as battle is started, without even bothering to make visual contact first. This is especially frustrating in Cl vs. Cl missions. And fix now useless submarines. They can not sink anything since the 1.3 and new mission generation mechanics.
  8. And new campaign TF system where TFs tends to block each other ratjer than initiate combat is pretty bad. Either initiate combat or let TFs pass each other under assumption they "slipped away". Having multiple TFs doing nothing but blocking each other without any combat is just annoying! And I have just stopped investing in subs. They are just useless now! 30 subs sent to waters off British isles triggered not a single attack on british TFs swarming the area. And that is in the one year time. At that same these 30 subs hit transports twice. While subs were previously overpowered they are now neutered. Why are we just going from one extreme to other?! Not sure but I think part of the problem are new TF engagement mechanics which result in fleets stand offs and mutual blocks. TFs are trying to sail around each other instead of going one through other triggering battle in the process. And since sub TFs have low recon ranges they do not get any chance engaging surface fleets. Surface fleets have better recon ranges and since recon ranges are acting as inpenetrable forcefields who prevent any aproach... subs are just harmless as they can not get near to attack. This just has to be changed!!! Anyone else thinks TF engagement mechanics needs urgent changes?

  10. No word from Nick for a while... And ,please, let us have an option to use more than latest 3 engine types. Sometimes (like when playing Spain), you need cheapest solutions, but instead of cheap and effective multiple expansion engines all you are allowed to install are expensive turbines and immensely expensive turbo-electrics. Why are we not allowed to use older techs??
  11. I just can not get any port strike mission ever! On the other hand, AI is slappi g me left and right with single Cl or DD port strikes to which there are no defense! Also, subs are next to useless now.
  12. Same is with other ports. You just can not defend them.
  13. If you press reverse button again, ships will start sailing forward again. But I can agree the reverse button have instant effect and that isnnot very realistic.
  14. Seems that AI can bombard my ports at will while I can't get port strike mission even if I park massive BB fleet in front of undefended enemy port.
  15. How to get port strike mission? Park TF with sea control order in front of the target port?
  16. Also, make it possible to retain old guns during refits. Mk 3 guns sometimes do not fit in places Mk 2s do.
  17. @Nick Thomadis Since monitor and ironclad models are in the game anyway, can you ,please, enable them for 1890 campaign as destroyer or light cruiser class??

  19. Destroyers popping out smoke when far away for no reason actually give you a hint about their position.
  20. Convoy "escorts" popping up smoke right away and trying to save their pittyfull hulls when single raider appears. Instantly abandoning convoy in the process. Hillarious! Epic! Also something is strange with campaign AI. US and Germany both got high GDP and are full of cash but their tech levels are very behind. Interestingly, UK does not have the same problem.
  21. At first, refits were laughably short with 1 month time for total rebuilding the ship (engines, weaponry, armor). Now we are at other side of extreme with 16 month required for minor changes
  22. Well, the problem is you can not move into their zone of control (only on the outer rim of control circle), that's why battles are not generated. Zones of control shoul'd be navigable but triggering battle, not cemented as impassable and thus battles can not be generated.
