  1. Why are ironclad hulls (Monitor and Virginia) not available in the campaign? They are akready done and woul'd made a nice addition. They can be coastal ship class.
  2. OK, didn't know splashes from secondaries interfere so much with the main gun aiming. If that is working as intended, than im fine with that. What about with coal as resource?
  3. What about main cruiser batteries not firing if secondaries are not switched off?
  4. Ofcourse, you can import oil/coal from friendly and less friendly countries. And that is somewhat hard to do during the war. Or you can secure resources and get them for free. Hope this is going to be implemented.
  5. It could also force player to stick with coal if it can not provide enough oil. Oil fired boilers shoul'd also dramatically cut crew required for boiler rooms. Oil eliminate trimmers entirely and reduces stokers significantly. One of the decisive elements for switching shps to oil was lower manpower required which resulted in reduced expenses and higher profit.
  6. They were not capable building any major ship during that time period.
  7. Coal was also a resource. Lack of it held Austro-Hungarian mostly inactive for most of the war. And devs didn't say anything about coal as resource.
  8. Please, talk more about politics, ideology, feelings and other important game-related matters, that's a good way to improve the game.
  9. Yes, he's done quite a good job promoting this game and a hell of an effort. On the other hand I don't like his gameplay style and doing battles at 5x speed where his fleet seems to be totally out of control and order.
  10. I know. I witnessed players spoiled with WoWs express their horror by their ships not being able to hit fast moving destroyers with first salvo. They just wanted sniper carriers and they got ones. I like historical gameplay more and in this way game is ruined for me. I'll suggest again what I gave before- give us realistic options menu. The ability to set the game we want so each of us can have fun. Turn of realistic gunnery to obliterate destroyers easily. Turn off dud torpedoes to have overpowered destroyers. Or have realistic gunnery where 10% hit rate is excellent result.
  11. "Bismarck" in the game can achieve 70%-80% hit rate with her main guns on DDs, CLs and BBs at 25km range. That is with trained crew and 1934 tech. Her secondaries are well above 50% hit rate vs. DDs at 10km range. If that is not overpowered than I don't know what is.
  12. Bismarck expended quite amount of main gun ammo trying to fend off cruisers and destroyers shadowing her. Result was 0 hits. Taking into account Bismarck had radar and excellent fire control, gunnery in the game is laughable. Battleships score hits after first or second salvo at fast moving destroyers obscured by smokescreens. In early era gunnery vs. small targets is also extremely efficient. This needs some tweaking.
  13. Capital ship gunnery is way too efficient against destroyers and torpedo boats in all eras, especially in 1890's.
  14. The quickest fix is that TFs do not expend ammo when fighting submarines.
  15. How in earth do you expect them to work on the game without electricity?? I'm afraid there will be no update for a long time.
  16. I only play small custom battles at this point.
  17. OK, didn't realised you are in '40s. In 1890's expected dud rate was 80-90%. By 40's dud rate fell at about 10%.
  18. Actually that is pretty much realistic.
  19. Yes, whining about low gun accuracy brought us into another extreme. Guns are now way to high, secondaries can blow up multiple torpedo boats in matter of minutes. Think that original (in)accuracy was more historical than these stabilised guns with laser rangefinders. Although, to be honest almost all of my battles were fought on calm seas, no wind and clear sky. Would like to see fog/rain/blizzard and rough seas for a change.
