  1. I hereby accuse the player Sven Klenog of alt-farming.

He killed two prussian players at Aves today before maintenance, delayed by nearly exactly one hour. Furthermore I have never heard of this player before (which of course is not evidence but a certain signal). Sven klenog seems to be a mediocre ranked swedish player in NWO clan.

    The Joke is

You. But I guess you already know that aswell. Your demonic predictions didn't come true last time. They wont now. Read what's on and transfer it to the game: imagine a hunter catching a trader between Carlisle and KPR. 75% of the britisch players leaving KPR will pass this spot. Even if the hunter manages to really quickly kill the trader, in this time usually 10 players will have sailed past this spot. I guess some will join and then it's running time for the hunter..

All these deadly predictions of many enemies all joining the show. Let's see first before we salute the games' apocalypse once again.

Got an answer to everything right? Yes my comments' intention is to annoy.

What's your problem with traders being capped/sunk? That they're defenseless? I mean, yeah they are. So it's their problem to get an escort/only load half to be fast enough/not sail afk. As many here demand hunters should hunt (and do some work for it) imo a traders job should be to secure the trade route. If I sail a trader, how can I complain if i get ganked? That's ridiculous.

Aside the fact that I consider hunting traders as well as ganking noobs 1vs1 nearly as boring as trading, I just can't accept that I have to adapt consequently to mechanics that limit my playstyle being told it's for the sake of the game, while other people's style of playing is pushed and I see no balance at all.

This map is giant, why do all players limit themselves to the safezones? Well I'll be where there's most players. Why do people do PvE in front of their own capital? Who but noobs who don't know other places does that? That's so....Force me to search for prey. If you only stay on one place I'll gladly play the shark that soon can't feed anymore as he's saturated of all the fish just fallin into his maw.

The problem with the so-called PVPers is that they want as many poor defenseless targets in slow moving and poorly armed sitting ducks to get the sentiment of being strong and a true pirate... they don't care that others may want to play otherwise, dont care of true combat as they never try to find matching opponents.... all they want is targets to shoot at and if possible slow and unarmed

I don't give a hello kittyin shit for defenseless traders. It's about all those players that tell me (well told, can't talk to them anymore) they just do a quick trade run or a quick PvE mission and when ten guys have gathered to gank me join the fight and tell me i should get the hello kitty out of their waters.

All the "most people want to do pvp but only occasionally and when they are in the mood for it" bs. How often did we sit in front of capitals waiting hours, asking nicely. No more. I asked for pvp and got ganked. I will pvp the hell out of you.

So annoying all those miserable comments. All most people want to do is win, never only fight. Sure winning is fun. Getting told it's even fun and easy pvp marks if they gank you 10vs1 or multiple 3rds and 2nds against 5ths. Even nicer. Now it's pay back time.

  5. Frenchies I'm comin'!

@admin I will seriously try this out and if it's only half as mad as I imagine, PvP players will farm the capitals for two weeks like never seen before and then numbers will drop. But I will enjoy all those ***** that usually only dare to attack when in tremendously bigger force. Omg you will so hello kittyin die for all those mass ganks. Bitches it's on!

Only being honest here. And the chance I might talk and expect too much is high, but I'll take that risk.

  6. What is the labour hour reduction if a clan decides to do that in a port? Is it 40%? I mean isn't that a very lucrative alternative? In this port you may also set the taxes as low as possible and therefore guarantee that people do their basic trades there. Those selling ressources: why the hello kitty ya keep doing that in the safe zone? 10% (basically 20, as seller AND buyer have to pay taxes) of all money just flows straight into nirwana. So: build your ships in a port that has labour hour reduction and sell them in a port (could be the same) demanding low taxes. The game offers here a fine degree of liberty and possibilities, people obviously are just too - insert proper adjective - to use it.

They had their Santisima from the beginning. So we called for some reinforcement.

"Some" reinforcements. Sorry to tell you, but this screenshot just says much. Can't be as kind as Vazco here: this is pure seal-clubbing and nothing else. And it shows the morale of KoC. Jump in such a fight with three L'Oceans only means 'i want to win!'. How can you guys be wondering to not get fights. So annoying.

  9. Those people you're referring to seem not to be PvP players then. Because an experienced captain knows his chances. Got an engagement with the french last week, me in a bellona, them in a wasa bellona and frigate. If they had been non pvp players, i would have had a good chance (ya know this makes fine screenshots). But @Fouchet and friends (Coco and another) know how to sail and therefore they beat me without greater difficulties.

If pvp players outnumber you 2on1 in light ships they will usually try (as they can get away anyways). Casuals without great experience just wont do that as they don't know you, your ship, their ships, their overall chances.

  10. Landsman imo you are correct regarding the marines.

The fir/fir in ow case has an opposite: the LO/WO double thickness floating battery determined defender groups sailing into the patrol areas.

I don't like either playstyle. Both setups are sailed for the purpose of controlling the fight as far as possible. One by disengaging when time comes, the other one by being nearly indestructable in a battle where your enemies can't run. Nontheless it's the players freedom to choose their style. Yup feels bad to be chanceless against a ganking squad. And also it feels pointless to fight those oceans in let's say teak/wo bellonas. And still it's a sandbox (even in the patrol area you wont know who joins for 30 minutes).

    Less judging, more playing.

  11. Thonys I can only agree to Nethros here. It's the easy mode. Surely one could claim you do something for the community. Probably many would support this, but mainly to be present everywhere on the map with the least possible effort.

Why should I be jealous? everytime I'm online I build 1+x ships and usually lose 0-3 ships.

On this matter I don't have a proposal, as I think the current way is a proper one.

  12. Dude you really try everything to get more slots right?

Twenty slots and I only own eight types of different ships. Two of those I want to get rid of. You basically have 30 slots as you can put ten on sale.

Methinks this fairly is enough. It Sounds like you should lose some of your vessels imo.

  13. Why is fleet practice not more offen done then? The lobby-based mechanics have the problems that people don't give their very best as they don't lose something. Therefore fame and glory can't be given as reward imo. No need to give rewards for these fights anyhow though.

But I just recognize that I obviously don't get your point.

My opinion on small/large/duel rooms: they could be there and it would be fine to test things, but they're not much fun as there are just no rewards.

  14. 7 hours ago, Wraith said:

The rewards are fame and recognition, right?  I'd balance out the need to level, buy and upgrade ships, mods, and the bits and bobs necessary to create the ultimate in small/large/duel battle ships by that small level of interaction with the open world, crafting, trading, and grinding.

Wraith. Since when do people play for fame and recognition? I think the same way but it's so damn idealistic and far from reality that you should know.

Need to lvl is damn low. I leveled an Essex in three days in pvp to 1k XP to go till the fifth slot. Overall ten battles. Teak Wo; navy hull, basic hull, basic carpentry tools, medium guns.

I agree on the mods though, generally speaking.

Again, why are we bending over backwards to implement some kind of special RoE in these Event zones to create "fair and balanced" fights?  This is an open world, sandbox where if you're getting a fair and balanced fight then you're probably doing something wrong... ;)

Let's just bring back no-loss, no-reward small, large, and duel battles via the Missions tab and be done with it.  Put up a leader board for lobby-based fights boom, leave the open world for the sandbox play with a minimum of restrictions.

These events are poorly implemented, no doubts. Still small and large battles don't work. Why? No rewards. So i really like the limiting the patrol to certain rates. For those not doing much pvp this could be fun. Basically just really grab a shop frigs and do it. If it gets destroyed by two firsts like now, whats the use for the new pvper? None but frustration.

To the one saying this limits me in my freedom to sail the ship i like: Groups of tough 1sts limit me in my freedom aswell. One can invert this.

Got no problem with the patrol zones, if I don't want to, I just don't sail there. If we had rate-limited events one would also see solo hunters again: patroling around the zones looking for single targets. Just a thought.
