  1. Yea we were scraping the bottom of the barrel for attendance tonight. Weekdays are usually our best time of the week, for some reason we just can't reliably get 25 on during the weekends.

  3. I'd be willing to discuss limiting attacks and regions, stuff in that capacity. I do disagree about mechanics. Unfortunately conversations on the forums break down into salt fests and feel like the devs just skip over those. One unified objective still feels like the best way to go if we're trying send a message to the devs. Anyway I'm usually around in the US evenings
  4. Then it sounds like we have common ground to work with and I wouldn't be oppposed to some talks that move beyond the "switch alliances" as the only topic of discussion. Im pretty sure north came on our TS to discuss switching sides around the holidays and we never gave you guys back an answer. Or at least I never did. I think I remember saying I'd have to bring it up to the clans and we were sparse due to the holidays. I could be wrong but the times match up. Regardless relations have broken down since then no matter who is to blame.
  5. Here is the solution. PVP on the OW should exclusively be based around the hunt and the chase. It should be focused on ruining the commerce of other nations and in return, those nations should strive to protect its economy. The only reward is what you can privateer and ego. We have large/small/duel options already available. Turn those into the PVP events around the clock. Spam "Large Battle Event Starts in 15mins" or whatever and people join who want to. Give out PVP points for items that are cosmetic. Paints, flags, ship names...whatever. Bring back PVE events and have these drop the BPs and stuff. Similar to before, leave a breadcrumb trail of hints for players to figure out. Make them sail 2 hours and find a shipwreck and fight to keep it.

Haven't watched your video yet, so unsure of what you say and figured you might need all the facts if Klooth was giving you some alternative ones :-) NorthViking came on our TS roughly a week before the xmas truce and was proposing an alliance switch. Kick out one group and bring in the US to have coverage during the evenings. Proposal and reasoning were fair enough and told him we'd need to have time to mull it over, talk it over clan to clan and crap. North was obviously trying to butter us up a bit, but I personally kinda liked him. A short time later the Orthodox Christmas truce happened and then some shenanigans happened, threats were made and the other block tried to limit the US to playing 2 out of 7 nights a week. Rightly our situation seems to have soured on the Danes and I don't think you'll find a single person in the nation that would vote to ally with Denmark. There is also the matter of the majority of the players in that alliance feel like the US doesn't belong on this server, even though some of our leadership have been here well before it got the "EU" added to the name and it was just PVP. Not exactly a situation we'd like to find ourselves in.

  8. Important problems to be solved - Fix current RVR/port battle generation. Whether it be timers or simply remove the PVE missing grinding to unlock ports. It's boring, it's grindy and causing people to quit. Fix BR and OW tagging. The large circles is not working. 5 1st rates shouldn't tag in a full PB fleet and a 25m fleet shouldn't be able to tag a pirate basic cutter alt to hide Reduce AI fleets or remove player fleets. Having both is killing OW PVP Remove regional bonuses - increase resources across the map. Allow crafting in any region but require the mats to be bonus specific. Example - Southern live oak needed for strong hull ships, can be farmed in multiple ports across the southern US. Get rid of the necessity for strong hull ports. this will put less pressure on certain zones Merge the servers. The population is too small to run multiple servers. Features (additions or cutting) - Bring back the PVE events. Maybe have the PVP events inside compete for the "shipwreck" loot. The events brought double the current population online, we need something back. Allow personalization - Clan penants or flags. nation flags on OW ships. Ship name painting. This game needs variety. Some sort of bonus for screening. incentives for people to join the smaller nations.

I am a little insulted that you suggest we are even associated.....I mean it's not like you actually help out with Nation affairs. TDA and VCO have been tolerating each other for a while now, and it's prolly too soon to expect an invite to the TDA company picnic, we're putting bullshit aside for national unity. All of us....but you. Reps from all the major clans, including yours signed off on this today. Your boy Chijohn and I cooked it up this morning, hence his name on it. Time to get on board hombre! The fun train is leaving and you ain't on it.

  11. US switching sides and US only servers are of course not acceptable solutions. Don't be obtuse. There have yet to be any groundbreaking insights into bringing back the port timer system though, which is what I was referring to. NorthViking did have an idea but wasn't able to expand on it.
  12. Germane, as in relevant to my prior post. Remedios was never a pirate region, If I recall correctly. And I'm not counting the pirate battles regardless. Panpatar was taken by you guys from the Spanish during your alliance fall out along with a few other regions. Panpatar was also taken by the Dutch last weekend, but that was not fully defended and was in the EU time zone. There have been a few ok solutions to the night flip/port timers dilemma, though none of them have gotten much traction due to Nation whining back and forth on here washing over each suggestion thread. I believe timers we removed as a result of forum whining, mostly by EU players. Now, this system isn't acceptable. You notice a trend here? Personally, I didn't mind the port timers and considering now that we have alliance mechanics and nations can actually reinforce each other in the PBs and screenings of running flags, the dynamic will be vastly different and more enjoyable. It probably won't be as terrible as before, but I don't think the expected outcomes will solve any of the issues your alliance is currently having with screening and being outnumbered. It will solve the night flips, but despite the whining on here, those are a minor issue. For example, the US will stay up late and attack a Dane port. Capture port with a combined US/Dutch/Brit ZERG. Set the timer to US prime time and the Danes will have to miss their beauty sleep to retake the port. At least in this current system if that happens you have the option to retake the port when it's convenient for you. Problems not solved. But keep wishing for them.
  13. I believe Caracas is the only port to have been attacked and won successfully in EU prime time. Both times by both sides. The inability of both sides to win fully defended battles is very apparent, don't try and spin this as a one sided issue. None of this is germane to my prior post, though.
  14. 1. When will you merge the servers? Obviously, the current population of the game does not warrant multiple servers. 2. How do you plan to keep the 700+ members of this game occupied until the game is launched? RVR is continually disappointing for most players. PVP is disappointing and the lack of players makes OW pvp scarce. The PVP events are beyond stale. 3. Can you please clarify that PVP1 EU does not imply that the server should only be EU players and that the EU in the name simply implies that is where the server is located. US players happen to be some of your oldest and most loyal captains...many of whom were early adopters....Hostility towards US players on the server has reached new heights and the base has become more toxic and xenophobic. 4. How do you propose to address the above issues?
  15. Hostility generation was permitted during the truce, we didn't have a problem with that OR the coordinated 2 other battles being planned at the same time. My issue was with Wilmington being attacked itself. NorthViking came to us and said we need to have a truce for the orthodox Christmas, we would like you guys to back off your Savannah attack. If you do not we will attack Wilmington during the downtime with the Brit alliance. This implied that Wilmington would be off limits during the downtime as we agreed to our side of the deal. The very next day hostility was generated against Wilmington, along with the other 2 regions, therefore, breaking the agreement. While all 3 battles were set North again came to us with a couple of swedes saying we want you guys to give up night flips 5 our 7 nights a week to make things fair. If you agree we will call off the attacks. We told them to kiss our asses and they promptly lost all 3 battles. The great RUS/RDNN fleet hasn't been seen in force since. Don't let the night flips bullshit fool you, this is the real reason. That is why we are pissed and why Santa Domingo/Savannah was double night flipped. And also why we will never enter into another agreement with the Danes.
