😮 'A cheap thank you/reward' ?
Look at this :
Tens of work hours. And a beautiful outcome.
Given as a free redeemable DLC ship to EA testers.
12 euros x number of EA testers = cheap ??
Come on !
I know lots of players prefer big ships and I for one do like small ones. Thus it is a great gift for me.
But preferring 'a small amount of reals, small amount of doubloons, and possibly up to level five crafting' ?
Come on !!!!
In a way I do. Same can be said of world of tanks that give out free tanks like three times a year for special occasions. Not to mention those tanks are not purchaseable unlike the Pandora will be.

How many times did you jump in and out of port to get that one?
Enough where I am actually out dating.

Now I do understand that we as early access players are suppose to be getting the Pandora ship for free. Which is great. Although I do understand where people are coming from when after three years of playing that the Pandora just feels like a cheap thank you/reward. May I suggest creating an Early Access DLC. This DLC will not hold much except a small amount of reals, small amount of doubloons, and possibly up to level five crafting. Something along those lines. Only people able to get this DLC are Early Access players for free. It would be enough for player to get a slight jump start but not significant one just enough to set up a few ports and form a clan. @admin

ports later. there is a port management feature coming that will justify wipe
I like how efficiently these updates are being made. Please keep up this pace through post-release.
Do you plan on wiping ports again at release? If so, since you stated that release is right around the corner, can we hold off on a port wipe till the release? Or if the release is expected to occur after the spring then I would not mind. Just basing this off information @admin provided.

You mean with 50 Players on each server?
Yeah that was bad. The "New World" was dying slowly years ago just from the alliance system killing off any PvP and meaningful content. I really do not want to go back to those days. If the population of the game ever returns to what it was early 2016 the Developers might open up some more servers then. But for now one server will do just fine.

@admin I apologise if it as already been said before (it's hard to find stuff amongst all the whining about XP wipes) but can you confirm, if the rare woods (teak.white/live etc) are being wiped with this first patch or is it just the basic resources?
It will be wiped

@admin Now I am aware that you plan on tweaking the thickness of the ships to adjust to the cannons increased damage. Would reducing the speeds of the 3rd rates and above be another solution to prevent these Ships of the Line from becoming the mainstream in open waters and be primarily tasked with port battle activities?

I actually just got the same note but my icon looked like what I suspect it should look like.

lets assume for a moment there are no alts. Then wouldnt that make dmg farming between friends even easier?
Alts are the constant roadblock to many potential improvements. The removal of alts would open the door to many possibilities for this game.

Then stop being such a negative nancy because you do not know either. Or do you just like complaining and pulling assumptions out of your buttocks just sending negative waves every which direction because you are not getting your way?

@admin can we get a reveal of the additional flags added to Patch 30?

Just a list of things I would like to see appear in Naval Action before going beyond Early Access officially or shortly after the games full release onto Steam. @admin
Music: I do not care if it is a full album, just a few tracks, or even just one song. Heck, my Victoria II game was bugged where it would only loop this song and I still till the world war:
You do not need to make anything extravagant. Music is vital element to any media. Star Wars would hold a different meaning without the brilliant work of John Williams and Halo opening would not be as remembered without its iconic choir. Plus, as the great Ricky from the Trailer Park once said "I love all creatures like gophers and deerts, and those things that fly and everything else, but **** seagulls. I got no time for those ***********." I am just sick of hearing the damn gulls bawking away.
Content Variation: What we have currently for content works well for the type of MMO that you are producing but could be great. There needs to be a break in the mundane processes that much of the content available makes you go through and introduce some variation. Rather than have us the players continuously work towards the same objectives over and over again just either make the end result different on occasion or introduce something new even if it is only temporary. This is so you can maintain interest of your consumer for a longer time period rather than them get bored and leave and jump onto another game until the interest arises once more for Naval Action or never return again.
Decently Priced Cosmetics: I am one that is fine with DLC content. Even the ships people have been or have cried about I have been okay with. The one thing though DLC's should be used for is simple cosmetic items, preferably ones that are in the game but you can purchase through a DLC if you do not want to sit and earn it through drops or chests. But the pricing has to be right. The pricing was the one thing that absolutely upset me about the flag DLC. Just felt like I was robbed and I know others did too mainly for the lack of content it provided based upon what the flags contributed to the overall game and for which nation they played for. Pricing for cosmetics needs to improve.
UI Chat and Map Tool: You have already created a UI design. Yet the two items you never touched with it are some that just clash and look atrocious with the overall UI and feels as if incomplete and out of place with the overall look of the game. Just implement the UI you have already designed to the map tools and chat window and everything will be great.
Continuation of Adding Ships: Do not stop adding ships. You have a core and hopefully at release grow upon that. Adding in new ships will help expand upon the experience for both the core and newcomers as well show you still have commitment to the game rather than release and leave, breaks down some staleness that occurs when you see the same few ships constantly, and if you continue the voting for ships the community will also feel as if they are contributing to the addition of ships. Definitely add Dutch ships. Those poor buggers have been crying for a few Dutch ships for a while and deservedly so.
Do Not Cut and Run: The one thing I would like to see from @admin and his team is similar to what I mentioned above, that you developers do not forget about this game you have created and still help it grow and develop as a game and not just release the game on steam just to move onto the next big project. The community gives you guys a lot of grief. This is with any community of players who have grown to love a game and has just turned into a marriage at this point.
I am not someone who is really looking for much honestly. Never have really since I never would consider myself a winner. Just an average bloke so I am not trying to make hard demands or ones that I find to be unreasonable. If they are I would like to hear from you @admin. I must say though I have enjoyed this game. Sure there were some low moments but I cant let that get me down or use those moments to hinder other peoples experience. I knew what I was getting into when I saw the Early Access before I purchased this game. That day I expected a wipe at release. Never a doubt in my mind that would occur. Cannot cry in the mud and be mad things are not fair or not going your way. Nothing productive about that at all. Just have to get back up and continue on marching forward if you want to see progress. All I am focused on is making sure is that when this does get released is that those players do not have to go through the hardships I had to go through during testing out this game I have enjoyed so far.

If they are maintaining what the econ is in testbed, we will definitely see quite a few ports drop.

@admin, did we every get confirmation as to whether the three hardcore nations (Prussia, Poland, Russia) are here to stay? Some people keep saying they are going away and the rest say they are here to stay. Can I get something from the horses mouth?
I believe there was a forum thread where the admin was adament about them staying.

Lets hope a map reset is part of it
Well odds are there will be a few ports that will drop because of lack of reals to fund their timers and/or simply lack of funds overall.

1 minute ago, JDAM said:You should probably rethink that statement. To be honest with a track record like this where a company makes a guarantee and then within a few short months does not follow through with that guarantee you cannot say with any certainty whatsoever that anything is "safe."
I wont. I am going off of information stated here. If they change it they change it. I wont complain. I knew what I was getting into with early access. The winds change over time and you must adjust accordingly.
