  1. Hi guys, It it possible for someone's mission destination to be visible to the entire group when teamed up? That would allow the group to spread in a search for it. I'm coming from the perspective of the person with the best ship, leading the group just happening to be not a great navigator lol. And in real life when looking for ships to attack that is what squadrons did.......spread out, keeping in sight abreast until a sighting ( of whatever they were looking for) was made.
  2. +100 Even trading is different on the two servers as economies are not limited by territories on the PVE server. I believe the servers give entirely different experiences. And PVE is not necessarily just a stepping stone to PVP ( not saying it can't be - just it doesn't necessarily follow. Some of us don't like PVP. Some just like to sail and explore without being ganked. Many patch changes have resulted in unnecessary arguements because the two audiences are experiencing the patch in different ways. I think it is worthwhile to separate PVE and PVP issues just on that issue alone.

  4. Sailed from St Anne to Corrientes to Misteriosa then to St Anne. Entire Journey lost. I'm not sure how you compensate for the hours that took lol.
  5. Two and a half hours so far. Guys, these days there is little excuse for a server to be off line for an extended time apart from sheer incompetence or using a very cheap provider without a backup server. Time for a new provider?

  7. Your suggestion presumes everyone plays the game purely for PVP. This is simply not true. it is not realistic to expect everyone to play the game as you like to play it. As has been suggested if your idea was implemented there would likely be somewhat of an exodus from people who actually enjoyed the part of the game you wish to kill off. The most likely result is less PVP buddies, not more.
  8. Can I humbly suggest that stiffness be removed as a characteristic of crafted traders. It makes some sense on a fighting ship, giving some stability to the gunners, but on a trader where speed is life it makes no sense at all. Personally I think all ship characteristics should be selectable as these characteristics would be built in deliberately by the builders. But at the moment surely deselecting stiffness as a characteristic that no sane ship builder would put into a trader would be appropriate.

    Confirmed by me for a while. Definite lag in acknowledging crafting. It's slightly better now. For a while I was wondering if it was working at all. If I was looking at the IT angle I would be wondering if the crafting info is held on a database. It could be a DB update lag.
  10. An automated server issue I think: When it takes 2 or 3 days sailing to get where you want to go in a straight line it is not reasonable for the server to suggest you are about to be disconnected for inactivity in less than one. Just sayin.......
  11. I used to teach IT at a large TAFE ( Community college in the US) and we had Dell right through. Never ever will I have one. Everything proprietary ( even power supplies needing to be replaced by Dell) and way underpowered. I build my own but if you can't get a good generic box from someone that can built to a spec and who knows their stuff. This is never a chain store or a large manufacturer.
  12. I have no doubt you are right when you tell me where I wound up but if you sail west by northwest from misteriosa towards Tulum......well......you have to hit something. I didn't and I checked the heading many times. Even Northwest you should see something! It's a trip I have made many times and I checked the heading......more than once. Something happened. I didn't hit land and I must have. Did the Bermuda Triangle move?
  13. A very good idea. Especially in say a trader Brig or Snow where rank may make the hire of escorts impossible.
  14. Yes I did sent a report. I haven't changed any graphics setting. I transported to Capital and later that evening sailed all the way back to my outpost. It took a looooong time but no repeat of the issue.
  15. Land disappeared today on PVE. 4 days sailing NW/W from Misteriosa....nothing.....just empty ocean. And yes I checked the heading.
  16. Sailing at night you would expect to see lights from ports. Not like modern cities but you would still expect lights. Little twinkling dull lighting like they had back then. Maybe the occasional lighthouse.
  17. Question is what happens to my ship that was at sea with a bucket load of cargo? The server looks terminal...it's not coming back up....sigh....
  18. USA servers are not working. They say there are but there is no ping.....
