    .....Prussia gets simply eliminated from RvR. This is the scenario what happens if we switch to EU timers, our nation would get annihilated, most of the Prussians would switch nation or quit the game......

    A Prussian who leaves the nation because he loses ports does not deserve to sail under this proud flag.

    If you enjoy this.

    Until Prussia was introduced, I fought for a long time as a German on the side of Spain. I still remember the days when Spain had only 4 cities on the north coast of Cuba. Even then, the great Spanish clans refused peace, because they had no supply problems due to their alts.
    I liked the Spaniards for their pride and their indomitable attitude, but after watching ULTRA and other Spanish players leave their nation, I have my doubts.
    I hope the Spaniards fight for their place in the Caribbean.

  3. As a Catholic and a friend of Spain, I would like Spain to reflect more on its proud traditions than complaining about low numbers of players or the attack of many enemies to explain the current situation. I think many nations have to deal with the same problems. There is certainly no specific Spanish problem.
    Especially since the headline for this thread is about the future and not the past.

    Easy fix.

    Don't show names of the enemy + disable chat to all within patrolzone.

    But that would not be a good solution, what should then our PvP heroes post in their "I'll celebrate myself, because I have sunk 5 newcomers alone" thread.  Officially, the thread has the name "duel/small battles".

    I also do not think that the above example is a case for the Tribunal, although it just as happened, as described by the thread creator. In three years of beta, friendships have been formed, which also endure across nations. It is not clear to me why friends can not fight against each other, but this certainly requires a certain degree of human maturity or a certain attitude to the game or the other players outside my clan.

  5. If the US or any other nation does not have the strength and the resources to protect its ports, it is just losing those ports. That's how easy the world is. These attempts at justification for lost battles or entire wars are completely unnecessary and do not honor the defeated side.

  6. IMO one of the best collection of songs and great performed....Assasins Creed Black Flag Shanties 🤓

    That opinion has no basis in reality.  No.   That has no relationship to the trader tool. Nobody is going to explore anything sailing and spending time for a chance of finding a trade route.  That is just rediculous thinking.  Trade needs to be guaranteed and sorry bud they didn’t just sail ships to ports and hope there were good there to make a profit.  You don’t send 60+ crew and a ship to ports unknown and hope you make some money.  Quite the opposite you know what you’re trading, how much revenue and profit or you don’t sail.

    800/5000

    Excuse me, you should perhaps deal with the trade of this time. It is by no means the case that trading companies knew well before the start of a journey whether and how much their traders could buy at what point in the journey. What you knew is that there is a certain product in a certain area. No slave trader went to Africa and already knew at the beginning that 100 slaves were waiting for him at the pier to pick him up. He also did not know what price he had to pay for it.

    Portuguese and Dutch traders equipped expeditions to India and Indonesia, only knowing that there are rare spices there. The commercial decisions were often made spontaneously on site. There was always some uncertainty in the game

    @Elric

    Could not the reduced number of players also be due to the fact that some players have gained sufficient experience with the new mechanisms in the game and now just wait for a release. I do not think it's fair to associate the falling numbers exclusively with the new patch. Likewise, I could say that the numbers are now decreasing because people are fed up with bored PvPers slaughtering all the newbies outside the harbors.

    Reliable statements about the numbers of players will only be available months after the release.

  9. You could argue here for weeks, slowly get used to the idea that not only our sea heroes (PvP / RvR) are crucial to the good of a nation or a clan. In the future, much will depend on the willingness of the malignant merchants or PvEers to bring in doubloons and materials so that the big ships can be built.

    Sure, you could continue to open threads every day and complain about how difficult everything has become. And maybe the DEVS will change their concept once again. But maybe it will bring you more, if you recruited one or the other trader or PvEler for your clan.

  10. @Sir R. Calder of Southwick

    Thank you for this post, but you should remove the historical reference from their reasoning. Because when building ships of all navies in the world, only one thing was really important, money and raw materials. Even a famous sea hero like Admiral Nelson or the British Sea Dogs (Frobisher, Drake, Raleigh) could not build ships or equip expeditions themselves. Behind every action were financiers and an admiralty, who could build and maintain ships only in economic terms.
    It may be true that I prefer to entrust my ships to a man of reputation, but for the construction of these ships only economic factors are decisive.

    +++++++++++++++

    Danke für diesen Beitrag, allerdings sollten sie aus ihrer Argumentation den historischen Bezug entfernen. Weil beim Bau von Schiffen aller Marinen der Welt, war nur eines wirklich wichtig, Geld und Rohstoffe. Auch ein berühmter Seeheld wie Admiral Nelson oder die britischen See Dogs (Frobisher, Drake, Raleigh) konnten selber keine Schiffe bauen oder Expeditionen ausrüsten. Hinter jeder Aktion standen Geldgeber bzw. eine Admiralität, die nur nach wirtschaftlichen Gesichtspunkten Schiffe bauten und unterhalten konnten.
    Es mag richtig sein, dass ich meine Schiffe lieber einem Mann mit Reputation anvertraue, aber für den Bau dieser Schiffe sind einzig und allein wirtschaftliche Faktoren entscheidend.
