I didn't run in those circles, alas.

Not too late, I didn't jump on the bandwagon until January of this year when the prices were at $800 a pop, and now it's up to $9700. A lot of my friends sold everything this week but I'm holding onto 70% of mine. No telling where it may gooooooo

A bubble begging to burst.  My guns and ammunition steadily gain value, while retaining practical use in the event of a catastrophic failure of society :D

If you want a solid investment tip - get a Garand or two from the CMP.  They're running out, and unless more are released from South Korea, they'll be worth $2000 a throw in two years.

Well it's far from being too late for bitcoin imho.

There was an opportunity during a dip maybe like a month ago at 3.5k and up, after the fork cancellation, now it's up to 9.9k.

You can just watch for corrections to get in, there could potentially maybe be one after christmas, but since it's hard to predict without some expected event, buying high now might still be worth it.

How does it go, "the best time to buy bitcoin was before, the 2nd best time to buy is now" ?

Bubble? Maybe. I think it's worth the gamble as long as you only put in what you are ready to loose.

I can make a bit of extra cash on the side with books since i'm into books. I watch for opportunities to buy out of stock out of print books for 3 pounds, and after reading them resell for, in one case, 700 XD. Just do whatever you're good at and that you know and understand, be it guns & bullets, cryptocurrencies, or books. Pays for games and spaceships.

As to the original question:

I have some doubts about the firing angles of those turrets thought, do you have to expose more ship surface to point all of them in one direction? And they seem like vulnerable targets to me.

Nah, the turrets are heavily gimbaled and the pylons are structured so all four can fire on a target dead ahead. In regard to how vulnerable they are as targets, I suppose we'll have to see how the damage model develops since the ship isn't actually flyable in-game yet :P Mainly I intend it as an anti-strike-craft escort vehicle for a larger capital ship. It gives me pretty serious Lancer-class frigate vibes from Star Wars.

Cute little video that shows the intended gimbaling:

What i mean is that if i attack you from the side where you are a slimmer target the guns on the other side are not gimballed enough to point on the other side even if you incline the ship, unless you incline it so that you are a bigger target. Not that it's a unique problem, but it just seems to me that maneuvering in that ship so as to present the max amount of guns while presenting the smallest target will be challenging. It seems to me that even shooting dead ahead would present a dead angle at a certain distance where the back guns would be blocked by the forward guns unless you fly at an upper/lower angle which might present disadvantages. Seems to me some dead angles will be easier to exploit against that ship. But i guess i'm overthinking it.

Conversely, one could say that if a fighter approaches at an angle to minimize return fire, they're presented with a slimmer target. :P You do have a point though. I don't really intend to take this out by itself, more as a fleet op situation (especially seeing as how it will take around 8 people to be fully combat effective).

Between when you started this thread and now, you should have made enough to buy the hammerhead.

Or HODL and buy more hammerheads for your friends later on.

Btw the latest Q&A about it answers some of my doubts about the turrets angles and fragility: https://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/16317-Q-A-Aegis-Hammerhead
