Tycondero
Is/should this game focus more on fleet tactics or controlling an individual ship? I feel that certain aspects of the game, like micro maneuvering your controlled ship, is too much hands on control if this game tries to be a tactical fleet engagement game. I say this because I saw the developers reply to an earlier post that to avoid getting hit you should micro your manoeuvres. Imo this is something an "admiral" should not be concerned with except for the big fleet manoeuvres. Therefore, I would like to pose the question: what is the game trying to be more? A tactical fleet battle game or controlling single ships?
LeBoiteux
Real-time tactical games such as the Total War series or the Ultimate Admiral/General ones add to the difficulty the micromanagement of the troops (making them more reflex/speed/action-based), unlike turn-based tactical games such as Field of Glory (that involve more deep thinking). Some players prefer the former type, some the latter... Edited October 22, 2019 by LeBoiteux
Fess21
I guess depends on how many orders you want to give the game? Other than dodging tordeepdos this game can be played at 3x speed and only giveing about 10 actions a minute. Micro becomes more important the closer your ships are so if you don't like it use escorts to screen well and keep distance.
