  1. Hi, just a new player here who enjoys the game but wishes to provide some feedback. At some point the following may have been suggested already or may be in game and I haven't found out yet. Controls: Guess I'll start with formations and the "lead ship". Besides detaching a ship from a division, is there a better way to take control over a ship? There also seems to be an issue with ships slowing down from their max speed if another ship in the formation gets nailed, is there a way to prevent that? I also have a hard time with moving ships around in the divisions so maybe adding a
  2. I just purchased NA and logged in for the first time. I was offered a choice between "War" and "Peace" scenarios. Chose former just for fun. After receiving my orders (captain injured by splinter, now I'm in command), I'm deposited into a screen with a huge sailing ship staring at me. Some of the keys appear to work: S/W, for example, for (un)furling sails. But a great many do not. And the boat doesn't go anywhere. It just sits in the water. In the bottom right corner is a black box labeled "F11 Bug" and a white dot in the middle. I don't get any option for tutorials, either - just the menu in
  3. Is/should this game focus more on fleet tactics or controlling an individual ship? I feel that certain aspects of the game, like micro maneuvering your controlled ship, is too much hands on control if this game tries to be a tactical fleet engagement game. I say this because I saw the developers reply to an earlier post that to avoid getting hit you should micro your manoeuvres. Imo this is something an "admiral" should not be concerned with except for the big fleet manoeuvres. Therefore, I would like to pose the question: what is the game trying to be more? A tactical fleet battle
  4. I find myself wishing that the sensitivity for aiming and looking around could be configured independently. I was thinking there should be a slider for gunnery aim mode, for in-battle surveying when not aiming, and for the camera speed in the world space
  5. I'd like to see all of the controls that normally use the numberpad be bindable to something else. The reason being that I intend to build myself a nice little controller for Naval action (with some three way spring-loaded switches for the yards, a pot for the wheel, and a number of buttons for things like deck locking/ammo type/repairs/crew mode), the ability to simply have joystick buttons for those number pad functions would greatly simply things for me. Selfish, but I can't be the ONLY ONE-well, maybe I am. Some more minor things. An option to flip the windpath arrow around 180, m
  6. You need to clean the registry for Naval Action. To do this you need to run regedit. Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run In the window that opens, enter regedit, and press the Enter button Find section HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DefaultCompany\Naval Action Delete all files which names begin with the phrase "__Input Key" Then restart the client. All settings should be the default.
