Wicked Mouse Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) I've just watched it, and I generally do not like movies of my own country all that much, because often I see so much the forced acting, but this movie is pretty well done, I might say. It's a movie of 2,5 hours long and it gives a rough outline of the kind of man he was (I think) and the political situation at that time. The most noticible thing that kinda bothered me was the thing that the raid on the medway was presented as a singular tactical attack, out of the blue. While the raid on Chatham was a retaliation attack after the Holme's Bonfire the year before. Apart from that of course there was more to mr De Ruyter than you could possibly put in a 2,5 hours feature film All-in-all a pretty good watch. I enjoyed it! For those in the States or UK that wanna purchase it: Amazon in the USA and Amazon in the UK offer it for sale. The DVD is called "Admiral: Command and Conquer" for some odd reason.
