Sir. Cunningham
One of the most beautiful ships of her time IMHO, the 74 gun HMS Orion (centre) of the Canada class of 3rd rates would be a real treat to have ingame:

Sir. Cunningham
HMS Thunderer: I really prefer this Canada class design over the Bellona class, the gun deck doesn't curve nearly as much which I really like.
angela
Sirs: a family account gives that William Braybrooke, (1772-1890), received a commission as Midshipman aboard HMS Orion. I would very much like to learn more about the ship and her movements, especially her later years. Braybrooke transferred to the Commissary in May 1814, that same year in which the 'Orion' was broken up. I would be most grateful for any details you may have about the movements of this ship, and also the whereabouts of any paintings or images I may access. Many thanks! Your best bet is, as always, the official records. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk They are mostly and truly helpful. Enjoy the research and chasing the history.
