Destraex
Some larger poorly built or designed ships suffered from either the middle bending either up or down. This in turn caused performance issues.
maturin
I doubt any modeller is going to incorporate hogging into the mesh and create an entire class of identically inferior ships. Hogging is a symptom of age above all. I don't know that it causes serious issues in itself, so much as it indicates a weak old hull.
Edward Vernon
I am all for realism but I think this is a step too far down that route when I am certain the devs effort would be much better spent elsewhere.
admin
Some larger poorly built or designed ships suffered from either the middle bending either up or down. This in turn caused performance issues. Our shipyards have some quality control in place. Admiralty is very strict, bad contractors could get court martialed.
Destraex
I see. I just thought it may be something to add as an option. A disadvantage for choosing a cheaper design.
